Chapter 1 - The Man on the Moon

"Why… why is this happening?"

Luo Ke stared blankly at the vast blue sphere hanging in the darkness before him. The Earth. His reflection flickered faintly across its glow — a young man's face caught between disbelief and helplessness.

His name was Luo Ke — an ordinary university student from Nation C. One night, he'd gone to bed as usual… and woken up somewhere impossible.

At first, the thought flashed through his mind like lightning.

Time travel?

As a lifelong reader of online novels, he recognised the trope instantly. And sure — for most people who devoured those stories, crossing into another world sounded thrilling. But not for him.

Because this wasn't a grand clan's mansion, or a world of heroes and magic. There was no ancient master, no cheat inheritance, not even a single human soul in sight.

Just rock. Endless, lifeless rock.

The place before him was barren, cratered, and silent. Above, there was no blue sky or white cloud — only the endless void and the glowing planet that now mocked him from afar.

It took him only a moment to realise where he was.

The Moon.

"Are you kidding me?" he groaned, clutching his head. "I travel through worlds, and you kick me off the planet? Couldn't you at least drop me in a desert? Somewhere with air?"

No response came — only the crushing silence of space.

Not even a mosquito here. No air, no sound, no life.

And then, the true horror settled in. When Luo Ke reached out to steady himself on a nearby rock, his hand passed right through it.

He froze.

That wasn't Earth-style magic. That wasn't a Devil Fruit ability. His hand had simply… phased through.

"Wait—" he whispered, looking down at himself. "I don't even have a body?"

The truth hit like cold water. He wasn't flesh and blood anymore. Just… a drifting soul. A ghost.

He'd crossed into another world — and landed on the moon. A dead moon. Without a body. Without a way back.

He almost laughed. This has to be a cosmic joke.

But just as despair began to creep in, a faint pull stirred beneath his feet — like something deep underground was calling to him.

Eyes narrowing, Luo Ke drifted downward, passing through the lunar surface. He descended for what felt like forever before emerging into a sealed chamber.

There, within a glowing circle etched with ancient runes, lay a figure.

Luo Ke's eyes widened.

It was him.

The man lying there — the clothes, the face, the every detail — was his own.

"Is that… my body?" he murmured, stunned.

He floated closer and reached out, fingertips brushing his face. The moment they touched, a surge of energy pulled him in.

Light flashed.

When his eyes opened again, the body on the ground was breathing — alive.

Luo Ke sat up, chest heaving. "Am I… alive again?"

He clenched his fist. Solid. Warm. Real.

And then, a voice echoed in his mind.

Luo Ke blinked, stunned silent.

Piece by piece, his situation began to make sense.

He'd crossed into the world of One Piece — the very anime he'd been watching before he fell asleep. But something had gone wrong. Instead of landing somewhere on the seas, he'd fallen straight onto the moon… and had been sealed there ever since.

If he couldn't break the seal, he'd be stuck here — forever.

A bitter laugh escaped him. "If this weren't One Piece, I'd think I'd woken up in Naruto. What's next, am I sealed like Kaguya?"

Still, he couldn't deny it — at least it wasn't total hopelessness. Because he had the system.

The Live Quiz System.

It allowed him to connect with the people down on that blue planet — to interact with the world below by asking questions.

If they answered correctly, both sides would be rewarded.

And if he could steer those questions to alter the course of the original story… the resulting change would grant him the energy to unseal himself.

The greater the change, the greater the energy.

The greater the energy, the closer his freedom.

A flicker of light entered Luo Ke's eyes.

He didn't know why he'd been sent here, or who had sealed him — but if this was his only path forward, then he would take it.

He would shake the seas below.

And one day, he'd step off this lifeless rock and stand beneath the same sky as the pirates whose names had once thrilled him.

"Even on the moon," he whispered, a faint smile touching his lips, "a man's dream will never die."
