Of course, considering that close combat is inevitable, Oschin certainly wouldn't make his battle armor into a fragile suit that completely ignores close-combat capabilities. In any case,
the defensive boost provided by the Flame Armor Shield to Oschin is considerable, and he doesn't want his battle armor to become fragile. In fact, he only needs to properly integrate the Flame Armor Shield with the battle armor.
However, the integration of the battle armor with the Flame Armor Shield is a problem to consider when making the right-hand and right-arm battle armor, so he'll leave that for now. Oschin plans to begin his battle armor design journey with the head and torso battle armor, which need to be made first.
The requirements for elemental attributes are not too strict during the creation of one-word level battle armor, as long as it doesn't contradict his soul power attribute. Therefore, Oschin's main consideration is the visible function of the battle armor, that is, which soul tool functions to integrate into the battle armor.
This integration refers not only to the integration of soul tools with the main body of the battle armor, but also to the integration between soul tools.
If a mecha is like piecing together various pre-made soul tool modules to form a seemingly complete whole, then a battle armor is a truly complete whole.
The battle armor doesn't house individual soul tools, but rather interconnected yet independently functioning core arrays of soul tools. These core arrays are inscribed within the battle armor, sharing a common outer and inner shell.
Before determining the types of soul tools, Oschin first decided on the style and paint color of the battle armor. For the style, Oschin preferred a simple design (similar to the Snow Leopard Armor from Armor Hero), and the color was chosen as starry blue.
After reviewing a list of suitable long-range soul tools for the battle armor, Oschin decided against making significant changes to the types of soul tools on the battle armor (compared to those on the mecha). He only needed to upgrade the levels of the soul tools and ensure the fusion and interconnection between the soul tool arrays.
The fusion of the magic arrays is straightforward; the Omniscient Library will help Oschin solve this problem. However, deciding on the appropriate level of these determined soul tools is a matter that requires careful consideration.
First, the propulsion (acceleration) soul tools. As a lightweight battle armor, propulsion soul tools are essential for enhancing speed and agility.
However, even acceleration soul tools of the same level differ; generally speaking, acceleration soul tools can be divided into three types: large, small, and micro.
Large acceleration soul tools are primarily used for linear acceleration. A level 5 large acceleration soul tool can increase a user's speed from a standstill to over 100 kilometers per hour in one second.
Small acceleration soul tools offer relatively lower acceleration and can be used for linear acceleration, but Oschin prefers to use them as propulsion devices to assist in braking and changing direction in battle armor or mechs, thereby improving the agility of the battle armor.
As for micro acceleration soul tools, theoretically, these are the best soul tools for balancing linear and turning acceleration. However, among acceleration soul tools of the same level (compared to large/small acceleration soul tools), the acceleration provided by micro acceleration soul tools is simply too small. Therefore, they are generally used to directly affect the soul master's body and are rarely seen in mechs and battle armor.
As mentioned earlier, large propulsion soul tools can provide users with terrifying acceleration, but to use this acceleration to switch between extreme motion and extreme stillness, the soul master's body needs to withstand an equally terrifying acceleration force. Even for a Beast Soul Master with superior physical attributes, the acceleration force generated by a large propulsion soul tool of the same level (a three-ring soul master against a level three soul tool, and so on) can be overwhelming, even making normal combat impossible.
As a food-type soul master, Oschin's only way to utilize a large propulsion soul tool is to attach it to the thickest part of his torso armor, using inscribed arrays to offset the acceleration force and maintain physical stability.
After considering his physical attributes and array inscription level, Oschin plans to inscribe level five large propulsion soul tool arrays on the chest, abdomen, and back of his armor.
Then, he will place level four small acceleration (propulsion) soul tool arrays and dynamic balancing soul tool arrays (mainly used to maintain balance when the body suddenly turns during high-speed movement) on both sides of his torso armor.
On the back of his torso armor, Oschin plans to inscribe the core array of a level-five flight soul tool. With the assistance of the transformation array, when Oschin activates the flight soul tool's array, the back armor will automatically extend and transform, revealing the wings of the flight soul tool.
Besides these soul tools, Oschin plans to inscribe the remaining space on the torso armor with the core arrays of a level-four energy-gathering soul cannon and a level-four resistance aura.
After completing these array inscriptions, Oschin will connect all these arrays using the circuitry of a level-five energy-gathering soul tool (which automatically draws soul power from the air to replenish its usage), ultimately connecting it to the level-five milk bottle soul tool at his belt, allowing the soul power stored in the milk bottle soul tool to become Oschin's backup energy source for powering his battle armor.
Secondly, detection soul tools. For Oschin, who doesn't intend to change the fully enclosed helmet design, the detection soul tools installed on the helmet will directly affect his combat vision.
The fully enclosed helmet allows Oschin to isolate himself from the external environment for extended periods through the internal circulation system of his battle armor, thus protecting him from harsh living conditions such as poison gas and oxygen deprivation. However, the overly tight helmet undoubtedly severely weakens Oschin's visual and auditory senses. In such situations, Oschin needs a powerful and effective detection soul tool to help him receive information from the outside world.
The detection soul tool system previously used on the mecha helmet was very effective, but Oschin plans to upgrade it, not in terms of the soul tool's level, but by adding a new soul tool to the existing detection system. This new soul tool is a mental energy projection soul tool. Oschin will inscribe the core array of the mental energy projection soul tool on the forehead of the helmet, upgrading the detection soul tool system from five-sense detection to six-sense detection.
For soul masters with strong mental power, the sixth sense is no longer a vague concept; they can truly achieve a portion of their sixth sense perception through projected mental energy.
At this point, the design of the torso armor and helmet, which will be the first items to be made in the battle armor, is considered complete.
