Chapter 40 - Return to the Reincarnation World

Volume 2, Chapter 20: Return to the Reincarnation World

The air shimmered as Cael and Selene stepped through the dimensional rift. The familiar landscape of his reincarnation world unfolded before them lush forests, rolling hills, and the towering castles of the noble families.

> "We're back," Selene said quietly, her shadow form stretching like a coiling storm.

"Your world… the one you wanted to remain a background character in."

> "Yes," Cael replied calmly.

"But even in this world, balance must be maintained. The shadows of chaos linger, and I will root them out… silently."

The people bustling in the towns below were unaware of his return. Nobles and knights went about their daily lives, completely oblivious that the Shadow Sovereign had returned.

Reconciling the Past and Present

Cael's thoughts briefly drifted to his noble family. His sister, the kingdom's most formidable knight, trained as if nothing had happened in the multiverse beyond their world.

> "They think I am weak… a mere background figure," Cael said softly.

"They have no idea what walks among them."

Selene hovered beside him, whispering:

> "Do you plan to reveal yourself?"

> "Not yet," Cael said with a faint smile.

"Balance must be maintained, and appearances… are everything. Tonight, we clean the shadows."

Night of Absolute Atomic Judgment

As darkness fell over the kingdom, Cael and Selene moved silently through the forests and villages where corrupted cultists and remnants of the evil organization still plotted in secret.

Monster beasts that had fled from his old world appeared here, drawn to latent energy in this dimension.

Cael's aura expanded invisibly, forming atomic shadows that silently scanned the entire region.

Selene's shadow blades phased through trees, rooftops, and even walls, detecting hidden threats.

With a single whisper, Cael unleashed:

> "Absolute Atomic… Nightfall Strike."

The shadows descended like a living storm. Corrupted cultists, rogue mages, and wandering monsters were erased from existence, their bodies never even touching the ground.

By the end of the night, the kingdom remained completely unaware of the massacre that had taken place. Only the faintest traces of atomic resonance lingered in the air.

A Silent Return to Nobility

With the mission complete, Cael and Selene returned to the city as dawn broke. The nobility and knights were going about their morning routines, completely oblivious to the events of the night.

> "Everything is as it should be," Cael said quietly, looking toward the castle where his family resided.

"The shadows have been cleansed. The world will remain safe… for now."

Selene tilted her head, her shadows shimmering softly:

> "And you will remain a background character?"

> "Yes," Cael replied calmly, a faint smirk on his face.

"The world only sees what it wishes to see. I walk in the shadows… and the shadows walk with me."

The Seven Shadows, still partially merged with Selene across dimensions, sent a faint pulse of approval. Cael's presence was undetectable yet omnipresent a silent guardian in his reincarnation world.

> "This world… is mine to protect," Cael said, aura hidden,

"And no one no monster, no cultist, no Primordial will forget Absolute Atomic when the time comes."

The sun rose over the noble kingdom, peaceful and unaware. But in the shadows, the Absolute Atomic sovereign and his companions prepared for the next challenge.
