Chapter 17 - 17: The Death of Mordo

Mordo looked at Damon's cryptic smile, feeling baffled.

Mirror Space—he knew it well. It was high-level magic that only a Supreme Sorcerer could fully control. Within it, he could act like a dimensional god, controlling everything!

"Senior Brother, he refuses to surrender and dares to resist. We need not be polite anymore. Let him see what true magic is!"

Cassilius's eyes glinted with fanaticism. At this time, he was still years away from stealing Camustero's book and embracing the dark arts, even threatening Ancient One's disciple. Naturally, no one could question his loyalty to Kamar-Taj.

Mordo nodded, sweeping his hand. "Now, it's my turn. Go!"

Golden halos extended outward in invisible lines, transmitting his will into Mirror Space. Three seconds passed…

"Senior Brother, what are you waiting for? Attack!"

Cassilius grew anxious as Damon remained calm.

Mordo felt a chill—nothing was happening in Mirror Space. What? Had he missed something in his magic study? But he could feel the feedback connecting him to the world. He followed the book's instructions, adjusting his gestures, pouring power into the buildings to twist them into monstrous forms.

Nothing.

Sweat ran down his forehead. Cassilius babbled impatiently: "Senior Brother, why haven't you acted?"

"Yeah, why haven't you? Don't want to… or can't?" Damon mocked.

Mordo realized the source of the disruption might be Damon himself. Mirror Space, the very magic that should be his weapon, had become Damon's tool. Even a hundred lives in this space could not escape death.

"Enough talking, let's go!" Mordo tried to open a teleport portal.

"Go? You think you can leave just like that?" Damon's voice rang out. He appeared in midair, floating effortlessly.

Damon used his 3D map editor powers to manipulate objects in Mirror Space. Buildings compressed and shifted toward the sorcerers. Cassilius and others panicked—Mirror Space was now working against them.

Mordo's portal was blocked by a wall that appeared instantly. In desperation, he summoned a miniature golden halo with both hands: Bolt of Bosat—a devastating lightning attack—ripped through Mirror Space, opening a path, and leapt toward Damon.

But Damon remained unfazed. His Rock Shield absorbed the lightning without a scratch. Even multiple sorcerers combining attacks couldn't break it.

"Damn it! We're trapped! Attack together!"

They charged, summoning shields and magical whips, but Damon simply raised a single finger: an invisible Air Wall, capable of blocking and reflecting attacks—a manifestation of his Divine Finger ability.

Another Bolt of Bosat was fired. Damon's finger redirected it back, striking Mordo.

"Ahhhh!!"

Mordo was obliterated by his own attack, hurled dozens of meters away, dead instantly.

[Anomalous Entity Mordo Dead, Recorded, 1000 anomaly points acquired.]

Damon mused: Only 1000 points? Not as strong as enhanced Jason. Kamar-Taj really lacks talent.

Cassilius and the remaining sorcerers were shocked. They wanted to act but feared the reflected attacks, frozen in hesitation. Even the powerful spells like Bolt of Bosat couldn't be recklessly used.

Damon was originally waiting for Ancient One, wary of her power, but she did not intervene. He deduced one thing…

Damon's eyes sharpened, scanning the terrified sorcerers below. Raising his hands, he shouted:

"Sunshine Everywhere!"
