Chapter 21 - Orks

"My Lord, are you saying… we're going to clear out the orks right now?" Lissa, the Lancer Armiger knight, spoke with unconcealed excitement. "But according to family tradition, the purging operation should be led by the family head personally…"

Zeke's Paladin titan suddenly turned towards her, its eyepieces flashing with a dangerous red light: "Lissa von Yaeger, are you questioning the heir's decision?"

The titan's built-in sonic simulator made his words echo like thunder.

Lissa's titan immediately knelt on one knee: "I wouldn't dare, my Lord! It's just… your safety…"

"Don't worry, do you think I, a knight of the family, would be defeated by mere orks?"

"This is not for you to consider. I have made my decision, and I have already contacted the void transport vessel. All you need to do is prepare to board when the time comes. I have also already notified the local planetary governor, so there's no need to worry about that."

As a qualified individual who had received an heir's education, Zeke naturally knew how to handle a series of procedures. As the heir to a knightly House, no one would dare to refuse him.

Not to mention that he was going to a Hive World to help clear out some orks; even if he were just visiting, the local planetary governor would undoubtedly welcome him with open arms.

After all, the Yaeger family was the governor of this star system.

"Yes, my Lord, we understand!"

Since their Lord had spoken, what more was there for them, the Armiger knights, to say? Naturally, they would follow their Lord into battle.

Could it be that some of them wanted to stay within the family and continue reciting family epics? Those days were truly tormenting. Now that they finally had a chance to go out, how could they not?

The army slowly began to board the transport pods. Zeke had arranged everything, and the Imperial Navy had dispatched transport units to convey his forces.

As for Zeke's own strike cruiser, it also departed with the fleet.

Although Zeke was 100% confident in defeating the orks, the necessary preparations still had to be made. The strike cruiser was brought along, and if orbital bombardment was required, they would execute it immediately.

Zeke's actions would naturally be known to his father, but Grisha did not stop him after learning that his son was preparing to fight the orks.

How could the future high king, the future of the knightly House, always be holed up in an asteroid research base, conducting scientific experiments?

Anyone unaware would think their heir belonged to the Adeptus Mechanicus.

Now that Zeke had finally emerged from his asteroid base, preparing to lead his troops to trouble the orks, his father wholeheartedly supported it and couldn't be happier, let alone stop him.

As for whether Zeke would encounter any trouble in the ork tide, Grisha had even less concern about that.

The orks here were purged by the family every year; could any powerful units possibly appear?

At most, there would just be a few ork warbosses, nothing worth mentioning.

A powerful knight titan would only take a few slashes, and if it couldn't win, couldn't it at least escape?

Were the planet's PDF just for show?

The fleet swiftly departed from the knight world. This time, the Navy did not dispatch any escort warships, only two battle barges.

As the roar of the transport ships' engines gradually subsided, Zeke's forces had arrived in orbit above the hive world of "Paradis."

Through the observation window, the mottled green contamination zones on the planet's surface were clearly visible—these were the traces of the ork tribes' expansion.

However, because the Yaeger family came to clear out the orks every year, the contaminated areas of ork expansion were not large and were confined to a certain extent.

"My Lord, the planetary Governor is requesting communication." Tech-Priest Ed-78's mechanical voice sounded.

Zeke nodded slightly, and a holographic projection immediately showed a corpulent middle-aged man. He wore a gold-trimmed governor's uniform, and beads of sweat on his forehead were clearly visible in the projection.

"Esteemed Lord Yaeger! It is truly a great honor for us that you have come in person!" The governor bowed obsequiously. "I have already ordered the garrison to clear the H-7 landing zone for you. It is the closest to the main ork lair. Once my Lord arrives, I will mobilize the planet's PDF to cooperate with my Lord in battle…"

"No need." Zeke interrupted him coldly. "Give me the coordinates of the front line."

The governor's face instantly turned pale: "B-but, my Lord! A Waaagh! of the largest scale this year is currently erupting there! At least a hundred thousand…"

"Coordinates." In front of outsiders, Zeke had to maintain his image as the heir to a knightly House, so he wouldn't be as easy to talk to as he was within the family.

And while 100,000 orks seemed like a large number, in reality, it was nothing much. He had brought his personal guard. He didn't believe that under the assault of over 10,000 Space Marines, these orks would have any chance of survival.

Ping'an had made up his mind. Facing the heir of a knightly House's firm request for coordinates, the planetary governor naturally couldn't continue to conceal them and had to provide Zeke with the exact coordinates.

Upon receiving the precise coordinates, Zeke cut off communication with the planetary governor. He needed to prepare for battle.

As for the planetary governor, he was a bit stunned.

He had initially thought Zeke was just coming for some training, but he hadn't expected this heir to be so brave and fearless. He was going straight to clear out the entire ork tide.

There was nothing he could do. The heir of a knightly House absolutely could not have any problems on his planet, otherwise, the wrath from the knightly House would surely incinerate him.

"Order the PDF to immediately attack the orks. Reinforcements from the knightly House are about to arrive. We must clear these orks and reach the ork lair as quickly as possible."

Now, as the planetary governor, this was all he could do. He only hoped that Zeke wasn't too weak and wouldn't be directly overwhelmed by the ork horde.

If Zeke knew of his worries, he would probably die laughing.

However, at this moment, he was unaware. He was making his final pre-battle preparations, as the Relic Keeper was performing the last maintenance and inspection on his Paladin titan.

Additionally, his over 10,000 Space Marines had all arrived at their respective drop pods, ready to execute the orbital drop operation. Within the transport vessel, the largest drop pod belonged to Zeke's knight drop pod.

Many times, he would question the aesthetics of the Warhammer Imperium of Man, but the moment he saw the knight drop pod, he suddenly began to praise its beauty.

That was no ordinary drop pod; it was a knightly castle! That's right, it was a gigantic castle!

"Everyone in position, prepare for orbital drop. The Emperor protects!"
