When Colt and Stacy return the car and settled in, she rolled down her window. "Thanks again, maybe when I get better we can get coffee!" Stacy smiled and waved as she rolled her window up.
Colt intertwined his fingers and looked at her in amazement. "Stacy looked Colt " Did I do something wrong?" He leaned in, kissed her and spoke through their mind link. "No babe, you are absolutely perfect. Everyone loves you. No one as ever witnessed a Luna showing their pack members such respect. Do you realize that you let them touch you? In any other pack that's a death sentence." Stacy pulled back, her eyes wide in shock " No way!" She scowled and said "That is shameful behavior! Now I don't know about being a Luna, regardless, those staff members are just important as a Luna. They contribute to the pack just as anyone else and they deserve respect." Colt grinned at her "You are magnificent ". He squeezed her hand and said "Let's go home dinner is done and Dix is waiting for us. She's excited to meet you.
They rode to the pack house in silence full of bliss. She loved all the cabins that looked so modern. There were all different kinds of places for people to live and work. There was a textile factory, cabins, house, and even a tiny home subdivision. Colt smiled and explained that everyone has a home and a job if they choose. They make sure everyone has food. Most choose to work while some volunteer at the hospital and schools. Everyone stays busy.
"Look we are almost to the pack house." Colt pointed to a massive cabin. The cabin over looked the small mountain they traveled on. "Oh my!" Stacy whispered in awe. The windows were tall. The structure was made of timber framing and stone giving it that rustic feel. The massive deck was decorated in bright white lights. Colt chuckled "My parents liked to show off their wealth. Two people never need this much room. With them being detained we decided the old pack house was too depressing. In the last the few days we've turned it into the pack house. The Guards are at the old pack house investigating." Stacy looked at with sorrow and sadness and said "I'm so sorry Colt, what did they do?" Colts face darkened, "They sold an Alpha."
Thankfully they pulled up to the front of the house. " Honeeeey, we're hooome." He laughed when he put the car in park. Colt kissed her nose " They are gonna love you." He exited the vehicle, came to her side unbuckled the belt and lifted her out of the car Stacy disapproved, she used the mind link and said "You're showing off." Colt kissed her forehead and responded with "Don't judge".
"Anastasia Grace!" Stacy stiffened as she looked up and her heart jumped out of her chest "Momma Dee!" The two women looked at each other and started crying. Stacy got out of her wheel chair and fell into Dixie's arms. Colt sat there stunned. Unable to speak, confusion was taking over his senses."BOYS! GET OUT HERE QUICK!" Dixie yelled towards the house. Charlie and Isaac came out and in unison yelled "Anastasia!" as they ran to hug her. Hunter came out last and dropped the paperwork he was holding and dashed toward Stacy and picked her up and twirled her "It's really you!" He said through laughter and tears. "What.the.fuck.just.happened?" Colt said out loud and all five of them looked at him and laughed.
Dixie ushered everyone inside. "Let's eat dinner before it gets cold." Colt sat down at the head table and pulled Stacy down to the chair to his left. Dixie and Omega's brought out the food and since the house was built, it was full of laughter. Dixie dismissed the Omegas as she sat at the other end of the table she told the Omega's " Ya'll can go , make sure you take plates home for your partners and for yourself too. We'll clean up later." Dixie smiled at Stacy. "Darling where have you been?"
Stacy laughed. "Don't you think we should explained to Colt how we know each other before he has an aneurysm." she kissed him on the cheek and he couldn't help but smile back. "Well loves, ya'll know I'm from Savannah, Georgia. My father was the Beta of our pack. At a ball I meta Josh, the son a Beta in his pack. Josh was my fated mate and we loved him with all our hearts" Dixie reached for Hunter's hand for comfort and he gently patted it. " A group of rogues attacked one night and Josh was shot through the heart with an arrow tip of wolfsbane. " Dixie paused to wipe away her tears. "I couldn't stay with the pack. So we picked South Dakota to be the place where we would start over. That's where we met Anastasia, when all of them were in pre-school. Everyday when I went to pick the boys up, all four of them were all curled up napping together, or playing together. The pre-school teacher said that she had never seen anything like it, she always said that she couldn't believe that Anastasia wasn't their sister. They were referred to as the 'pack' and I realized that yes, we were a pack and we were gonna be just fine."
Dixie took a break for a moment to take a drink of iced tea then spoke " Anastasia was an amazing child, the first real human to show so much compassion to our family and healed our broken hearts. I connected with Bonnie, Anastasia's nanny and before you knew it, they were at our home every day. The day she made the twins laugh again, I had to lock myself in my room for ten minutes and cry. I knew I couldn't stay in South Dakota with humans and knew we needed a pack so I reached out to the Thunder Heart pack. They agreed to take me and the boys in and we lived over there in Shadow Creek." She pointed to a distant town in the West. " I wanted to acclimate the boys back into wolve society. "Bonnie would bring Anastasia for holidays and mini-vacations throughout the years. Sadly Bonnie died in a car accident when the kids were about 14 or so, with her loss, we lost or dear girl until today and here we are" Dixie spread her arms wide and smiled through her tears.
Colt listened to catching up and soaking in the joy of the room, the goddess has really blessed him. There were so many happy coincidences too many coincidences. Colt used his mind link "Babe, sorry to break up the reunion, but we need to talk about things as a family. There are a lot of odd coincidences that aren't adding up. I'm gonna take over for a minute." Stacy nodded at him and squeezed his hand. "Don't mention we have the mind link. That's special between us.
Colt cleared his throat and said "Hey Dix, you care if we have dessert and coffee in the den? I would like to have some family bonding time." Dixie nodded and understood what her Alpha wanted. Then Den was a sound proof room, Colt declared it was for family meetings. There was a pool table, a bar, televisions and even a kids area stocked with toys and books. When Colt had his team renovate the space he wanted to make it a family orientated space where they won't be bothered and no one could hear what was being said.
The group settled in the oversized grey couches and stared at each other. Colt took a deep breathe and said "Guys this is a shit show." He sighed and reached for Stacy and instinctively pulled her onto his lap. He needed her so they could keep each other calm. Once his nerves had steadied he spoke "Let's start with Stacy." She smiled at Colt and touched his face. How did she get so lucky? "I'm so glad I found you guys." Stacy recalled her story and ended it in tears "I've missed you all so much." Colt knew that she left out bits such as the level of bullying and he loved her for it. She held in her pain to protect others. A true Luna, a true Alpha.
Colt spoke to Stacy and said " I made Charlie and Isaac my Betas, and I suppose Hunter is my Gamma." Hunters head snapped up "Alpha Colt, It would be my honor." Colt studied Dixie and slowly grinned "Dixie, you will be known as Special Advisor to The Alpha and Luna. It will come with a different set of duties which I will explain later" Dixie opened her mouth to protest, but Colt raised his hand and softly said "Dixie, you raised three remarkable men. Think about it "You essentially raised her when she was a toddler, without you, she wouldn't have learned to love unconditionally and trust. You have shown immense loyalty to your Luna. As for me, you saw the pain and pressure of a future Alpha and how my parents were. Yet you sent your twin sons to comfort me and to help me, you have shown loyalty to your Alpha." Then in his worst drawn out southern twang " Who will keep all these youngins from going feral?" and winked. Dixie had tears in her eyes and bowed "It will be an honor Alpha Colt."
Colt furrowed his brows and declared "I'm tired of the hierarchy bull shit. From now on we may hold titles, but we are a family. We will set examples for the pack and show them what that means. We should keep our titles because the pack needs structure but we will not be afraid to show our compassion and comradery for each other." Let's toast to the new Thunder Heart pack. Everyone lifted their coffee mugs and said "Cheers!"
Colt announced "We have so much to do guys, but first we need to figure some issues out. Isaac, get a team of forensic accounts and do a full audit of all the pack related accounts. Include my parents in that as well. We need to find out the financial status of the pack. Can you also have a team of bring the archives of the Bloodborne pack to the new pack house. In fact, have the renovators make the whole basement an office. We will need six desks total. I want it open concept, see if we can cut that stone wall out to have floor to ceiling windows so it won't feel like a basement and it will overlook the pack town so we always have a reminder who are working for. Have two libraries, one with Bloodborne archives and one with Thunder Heart archives. Also, we should set up a briefing with The Guard, we need to know what they have found out".
"Charlie, I need you to gather the young Omegas and Warriors, preferably pre-teens and teenagers for an assembly. Announce the concept of the Thunder Heart Youth and Training center as Luna Stacy Myers as the Director. Ask the kids for input what they want, what would they like? If they want a damn smoothie bar, make it happen. Let the kids have a contest, I want them to write extensive research papers on other creatures including Fae, Dark Fae, Skinwalkers, hell even Big Foot, I don't care. The best three will win the honor of being included in the design and decor of the center. We can use those papers as help us research Dark Fae and what they are capable of. We better get the librarians mor help. Really emphasis that we want the center do be a place where status doesn't manner. If they are on Omega and want to learn Jiu jistsu, tell them they will have a class to make it happen. If a Warrior wants to learn to cook, tell them they will have a class to make it happen."
Colt caught his breath and looked around at is new family. They were all looking at with pride and adoration. "What?! Do I have a bat in the cave?" he wiggled his nose. Hunter broke the silence and said "Dude, I never knew that you would be the best Alpha in centuries!"
