Sisui tapping Lu Yang on the head three times was certainly not telling him to come back and find him in the middle of the night. He had no time to wait until then now.
The meaning of these three taps was very simple.
The first tap: Awaken wisdom.
The second tap: Open intelligence.
The third tap: Approach the Dao.
After the three taps, Lu Yang only felt his Primordial Spirit thoughts suddenly become agile. This had nothing to do with the Light of Wisdom; it was more like a state of mind where his thoughts flowed smoothly and seamlessly as desired.
And in this state, the world in his eyes also underwent a massive change. All myriad things and all matters lost their color. There was only a tall and straight figure standing in front of him. It seemed as far away as the end of the world, yet also felt as close as arm's reach; he only needed to take one step forward to reach his side.
Thus, Lu Yang stepped forward.
Rumble!
In an instant, it was as if he had crashed through some invisible barrier. When Lu Yang came to his senses, he had already caught up with Sisui, who had just strode away.
"This is..."
Lu Yang's gaze flickered, acutely sensing the change in himself. His physical body hadn't actually moved; what truly caught up with Sisui was his Primordial Spirit.
"Cultivation after Golden Core Perfection is actually the cultivation of the Primordial Spirit."
Sisui's faint voice drifted over:
"After all, once the Primordial Spirit is forged, even without a soul or a physical body, the Primordial Spirit can manifest independently and walk freely in the external void."
As his voice fell, Sisui, who previously only showed his back, turned around and smiled at him. "Fellow Daoist's cultivation speed is actually already considered fast, but I need you to be even faster, which is why I resorted to this. This is my trump card teaching method, which can allow Fellow Daoist to learn faster."
Lu Yang was also somewhat curious upon hearing this.
As a renowned teacher of the Light Sea, how formidable was Sisui's trump card teaching method? Just as he was pondering how Sisui would accelerate his learning speed—
Bang.
Sisui threw a punch over.
Smack dab in the middle of his face. Lu Yang was sent flying on the spot. His Primordial Spirit thoughts trembled violently, as if something had been punched inside along with it.
It was [Knowledge].
Not far away, Sisui rolled up his long sleeves, revealing muscular arms. "Come, Fellow Daoist. If you can defeat me, you can be considered to have graduated."
Meanwhile, Lu Yang also stabilized his figure in the air. The [Knowledge] that Sisui punched into his Primordial Spirit made him exhale a long breath. He did a quick calculation, and his heart suddenly chilled: What a formidable punch! The [Knowledge] punched in is fully equivalent to the results of me studying for three days.
It wasn't even just that.
This battle between Primordial Spirits was like a collision of [Knowledge] between both sides, allowing Sisui to use this to correct the flaws and loopholes in his [Knowledge].
The originally tedious teaching was simplified into a battle.
Having said that, Lu Yang quickly realized the limitations of this teaching method:
The student must have forged a Primordial Spirit, otherwise they wouldn't be able to withstand a few punches.
No wonder it was used as a trump card.
Thinking of this, Lu Yang also became interested. Since this was a clash of [Knowledge], it was only right that he unleashed all his methods!
Otherwise, how could they check for gaps and patch leaks?
At the same time, after throwing one punch, Sisui didn't attack again. Instead, he stood in place and made a beckoning gesture, signaling Lu Yang to take the initiative and attack.
"Senior, pardon my offense."
As his voice fell, a sword had already appeared in Lu Yang's hand. The obscure sword light carried the profundity of damaging the Primordial Spirit, creating a whistling, continuous stream of light.
In an instant, sharp sword chimes resounded in all directions. At the same time, Lu Yang also clenched his other hand into a fist, beginning to mobilize the mighty power of the Investiture of the Gods Method. The Great Daos, Dao Fruits, and numerous concepts within the new world [Tianhuang] all converged, transforming into a fist seal where myriad Daos originated from the same source, and ruthlessly smashed over.
However, Sisui remained unmoved.
He didn't raise his cultivation level; his stature was completely equal to Lu Yang's, and the mighty power he utilized was even less. He just nonchalantly took a step.
"No matter how strong the method..."
An ethereal voice seemed to ring in his ears, yet also felt like it came from the horizon. Then, Lu Yang felt a cold touch on his glabella.
"If it doesn't hit, it's meaningless."
Rumble!
As the voice fell, Lu Yang's entire body instantly soared into the air. Even stronger [Knowledge] was punched into his Primordial Spirit, silently telling him a fact.
If Sisui were an enemy, he would already be dead.
He completely lacked the power to fight back. Clearly, it was an enemy of the same realm, yet it felt as if there was a gap in stature. This reminded Lu Yang of another person.
The Primordial Saint...
Exactly. This result was exactly the same as when he commanded the Light Sea to battle the Primordial Saint previously. With just one finger, within one move, his life could be taken.
Upon landing, Lu Yang didn't pause. He rapidly changed his hand seals. Above the firmament, stars suddenly appeared. Thirty Five Elements Dao Fruits simultaneously responded to his call, drawing endless brilliant light to converge. Based on the principle of the Five Elements cycle, they empowered each other, thereby evolving the wonder of one of the Dao Fruits to its absolute limit.
[Boundless Dao]!
The next instant, Sisui saw the surrounding scenery become blurred. Although the space beneath his feet was clearly vast and boundless, he had no path to walk— unable to take even half a step.
Almost simultaneously, Lu Yang threw out his sword and fist again.
You can't dodge this time!
"Good method."
Seeing this, Sisui chuckled lightly. "Although the flaw is large, knowing how to use other methods to compensate and utilize your own advantages, Fellow Daoist is already doing very well."
After speaking, he truly didn't dodge.
He raised his hand and similarly threw a punch.
Rumble!
This time, Lu Yang lost completely and wholeheartedly. The fist where myriad Daos originated from the same source was routed in the blink of an eye, and the Heaven's Bane Sword was also deflected after Sisui struck its blade.
Lu Yang couldn't comprehend the wonders within.
However, when Sisui's fist hit him again and sent him flying, the subsequently injected [Knowledge] caused a bit of enlightenment to sprout in his heart.
It's not wonder...
The [Knowledge] in his mind told him that what Sisui displayed wasn't some wonder, but something simpler, yet also more profound.
However, this feeling was still not intimate enough.
Thinking of this, Lu Yang even developed an impatient thought. He immediately charged up again, unleashing his numerous wonder and methods one by one.
Yet the result was no different.
Sisui was seen strolling leisurely. No matter what wonder you used, he simply threw punches and palm strikes, like a mortal martial artist in the secular world.
But such ordinary fist and kick techniques carried the mighty power. They easily smashed Lu Yang's wonders, which were capable of overturning World Realms, to pieces.
He successively sent Lu Yang flying dozens of times. However, during this process, the enlightenment in the depths of Lu Yang's eyes became increasingly clear.
If it were before, he probably would have been bewildered for a while.
But now, with the blessing of Dao Tianqi's Light of Wisdom, coupled with Sisui's punch of [Knowledge], he understood the mysteries within at the fastest speed.
It's the Great Dao!
Lu Yang abruptly stopped his movements. The [Knowledge] that Sisui punched into his Primordial Spirit earlier gradually integrated and became thoroughly understood under the deduction of Dao Tianqi's Light of Wisdom.
"...I see."
Only after a long while did Lu Yang open his eyes, his gaze bright. "To Senior, the Great Dao has long ceased to be something that needs to be comprehended."
"In fact, quite the opposite."
"Cultivation is no longer [I comprehend the Great Dao], but [The Great Dao responds to me]. Thus, wonders are not bound, and endless variations exist solely within a single thought of the Primordial Spirit."
The simplest example.
Lu Yang silently pondered the [Knowledge] Sisui taught by precept and example.
In the very beginning, the [Dao of Dharma Body] did not possess the ability to extend lifespan... It was only after Sisui attained the Dao that it gained this additional layer of wonder.
Whatever he said the Dao of Dharma Body was like, it would become like that!
This is cultivation!
This is attaining the Dao!
