Before the voice fell, Lu Yang made his move.
And he held nothing back, nor was he putting on a show. He truly went all out. Between thoughts, a talisman had already manifested in his hand.
[Gilded Gold Commanding-Arms Talisman]!
As the talisman unfolded, the five life-bound divine abilities previously collected by Lu Yang manifested one after another, forming a cycle of their own, all blessing the sword edge of [Tribulation Wave].
[Heaven-Severing Sword Technique], [Heartless Annihilation Slash].
[Lawless and Thoughtless], [Dust-Cleaving Form-Severing Cut].
[One Thought Divine Blade].
"Kill!"
The five dharma sspects completely didn't expect Lu Yang, who looked tempted just a moment ago, to strike the next second. Immediately, one dharma aspect was hit off guard.
Blazing sword light swallowed it instantly.
Without any suspense, the aharma aspect's golden body, which should have been indestructible through myriad tribulations, cracked inch by inch on the spot, then shattered, turning into sky-filling fine powder in the blink of an eye.
Blessed by the five great divine abilities of the [Gilded Gold Commanding-Arms Talisman], combined with the pseudo-true treasure [Tribulation Wave], this sword strike could be called the strongest killing move currently in Lu Yang's hands. Although not as ingenious as Perfected One Vanquishing-Demon's sword intent, it won in sheer force. As long as it hit the target, it was almost a certain kill!
Clang clang!
Almost simultaneously, Perfected One Vanquishing-Demon also drew his sword, laughing heartily: "Good, good! My path is not solitary!"
Sword light swept across, and another dharma aspect was swept away.
At the same time, Chong Guang, who had been accumulating power in the dark for a long time, quietly made a move. [Golden Lamp Fire] exploded, also taking away a dharma aspect.
In the blink of an eye, only two of the five dharma aspects remained!
"Why..."
The remaining two dharma aspects stood side by side, their faces full of confusion. Their movements weren't slow though; while asking, they also formed hand seals. Buddhist light around their bodies expanded and contracted:
[Great Gathering Dhāraṇī Nirvana Mantra]!
The next second, the three dharma aspects just killed actually walked out of the Buddhist light intact. In an instant, the lineup of five dharma aspects was assembled again!
"Why refuse?"
The five Dharma Aspects spoke in unison, full of incomprehension:
"We absolutely speak no falsehoods. Everything is the truth. It is of great benefit to you and not a bad thing for the Dao Court. Do you not want to seek the Golden Core anymore?"
The emotions of the five dharma aspects were real.
Perfected One Vanquishing-Demon didn't understand Lu Yang after all, and as a sword cultivator, he was straightforward, so he foolishly regarded Lu Yang as a Fellow Daoist with similar ambitions.
But they wouldn't.
This demon dragon is clearly a demon at his core, a heartless person who thinks 'heaven is big, earth is big, but I am the biggest.' How could he care about illusory thing? There must be a problem here!
In fact, it was true.
Lu Yang admired Perfected One Vanquishing-Demon very much and was happy to be friends with him, but he understood in his heart that he could never become Perfected One Vanquishing-Demon.
He refused for only one reason—
In my previous life, I saw with my own eyes the World Honored One descend, split the Pure Land in two, perform a divine separation, and easily restore [One Mind]!
What did this mean?
It meant that as long as the World Honored One wished, this dilapidated Buddha statue before him, the so-called [One Mind], had absolutely no meaning.
Presiding over the Pure Land? All bullshit!
The World Honored One didn't state this explicitly, which already proved He had other plans. Although Lu Yang couldn't guess what they were, it definitely wasn't anything good.
I always emphasize steadiness in my actions.
As the saying goes, do more, mistake more; do nothing, and you won't make mistakes. No matter what plans the World Honored One has, if I don't agree, He can't scheme against me!
Moreover, taking ten thousand steps back, if I preside over the Pure Land and control [One Mind], then in the future, the one Master Vanquishing-Demon comes to slay won't be the World Honored One, but me. Rounding it up, isn't this equivalent to me taking the beating for the World Honored One? So no matter how you look at it, I can't do this thing!
Boom!
Lu Yang struck with his sword again. This time he didn't use the [Gilded Gold Commanding-Arms Talisman]. This talisman technique unified five great divine abilities and couldn't be used multiple times in a short period.
However, this sword strike contained other wonders.
The sword light was like water, not as fierce as before, but it made the five dharma aspects frown in unison. Calculating karma, they sensed a stronger crisis of life and death.
In a trance, they seemed to see flowers, birds, fish, insects, sun, moon, mountains, seas, and all living beings within the sword light, unfolding slowly like an ancient painting—
Jiangdong?
The pupils of the five dharma aspects shrank abruptly, realizing the profundity within.
Blessed by the [Immortal Kingdom Dao Laws], this sword strike seemed ordinary, but in reality, it carried the entire Jiangdong!
If the tiger doesn't show its might, do you really think my Dao Court is the weakest?
Lu Yang was ruthless in his heart. If it were other places, it would be fine, but in Jiangdong, the bonus of the [Immortal Kingdom Dao Laws] for Dao Court cultivators was terrifying!
"Amitabha!"
At this moment, the five dharma aspects chanted the Buddha's name almost simultaneously. Their figures merged within the Buddhist light, rising from the ground in the blink of an eye like a volcanic eruption.
Lu Yang's sword light smashed onto the five dharma aspects, presenting the myriad living beings of Jiangdong. The invisible concept generated substantial heavy pressure at this moment, but was forcibly propped up by the five dharma aspects. On the empty wilderness, a golden-bodied Great Buddha over ten thousand zhang tall stood between the azure sky.
"Refusing us is severing the Dao!"
The voices of the five dharma aspects merged into one, thunderous to the ears: "Even if you kill us, there are still thousands upon thousands of Buddhist cultivators. New Buddha Children can be enlightened at any time."
"You will get nothing!"
"Missing the Jiangxi region, you are destined unable to attain [Heavenly Fire]. No matter how many schemes, they will turn into futility... Are you really willing for all this to turn into nothing?"
The indomitable Golden Buddha, the reprimand stirring wind and thunder—at first glance, one would think a Golden Core Perfected Lord had descended into the world, etremely intimidating. But within the Buddhist light emitted from behind that Golden Buddha, a streak of light was mixed in, silent and fast, about to escape into the void and disappear...
However, the next second, that streak of light stopped abruptly.
Suddenly separating, it revealed the appearance of the figure after the five dharma aspects merged. It was a middle-aged monk with a round head and big ears, looking solemn and dignified.
It was just that this monk's expression wasn't good.
Because, he found he couldn't escape. This wilderness had actually been sealed off. Even with his means, he couldn't escape!
"Is Jiangdong a place Senior can come and go as you please?"
Lu Yang walked through the air, hands behind his back.
At the same time, hearing only the sound of metal colliding, chains formed completely of great dao runes appeared between heaven and earth.
[Immortal Kingdom Dao Laws]!
These chains were densely packed, woven into a net, wrapping the five Dharma Aspects layer after layer. With each layer falling, the aura of the five Dharma Aspects weakened a bit.
"This... this..."
Seeing this scene, the expression of the five Dharma Aspects finally changed: "Going this far... really want to kill me? Do you not understand this is meaningless?"
He didn't understand.
Not presiding over the Pure Land meant the Jiangxi region wouldn't be ruled by him. Missing this piece, the chance of Seeking [Heavenly Fire] was no more than fifty percent. All harm and no benefit.
Unless—
Thinking of this, the five dharma aspects suddenly raised their head, gritting their teeth: "You want to walk that path... You really dare to false hold that unorthodox Dao Fruit and walk that path?"
—That's right, there was another path.
There was another method to make Jiangxi submit without presiding over the Pure Land, which was—
"Just kill all Buddhist cultivators, won't that be fine?" Lu Yang chuckled lightly.
Jiangxi not submitting was ultimately because Jiangxi's Buddhist cultivators didn't submit. So as long as all Buddhist cultivators were killed, the land of Jiangxi would submit without submission.
"Absurd!"
The five dharma aspects sneered through gritted teeth: "Kill all Buddhist cultivators? thats impossible! If Buddhist cultivators die out, [City Rampart Earth] will definitely break away. Aren't you afraid of the World Honored One descending personally then?"
"I am afraid, so..."
Lu Yang nodded, then turned sideways, revealing Perfected One Vanquishing-Demon's figure.
The next second, Perfected One Vanquishing-Demon said with a serious face: "Killing living beings is bad. Leave this matter to me. Rest assured, not a single person will die."
Lu Yang grinned: "Any more questions?"
The five dharma aspects: "..."
Bastard!
