The sheer immensity of Giganto casts a long shadow over the city, turning the midday sun into a dim twilight. Giganto's colossal form blocks out the sky, its rocky hide rippling with raw power.
"Whoa! Talk about a big guy," Beast Boy exclaims, his voice a mixture of awe and challenge. He's already shifting, his form elongating and thickening, preparing for a transformation that might actually stand a chance against the titan.
"That's… Giganto," Valeria states, her voice tight with a new kind of worry. She taps frantically on her wrist device, trying to pull up any data on the creature. "Massive energy signature. Subterranean origin. Mole Man's definitely stepped up his game."
"He's like a walking mountain," Franklin whispers, Ralts peeking out from behind his legs, its small body trembling.
"A very angry, very destructive mountain," Ms. Marvel adds, her own body instinctively readying to embiggen. Eevee, sensing the danger, nudges her hand.
"This changes the tactical approach," Robin mutters, his eyes scanning Giganto's structure. Pawniard stays close, its sharp claws ready, but Robin knows direct assault is likely futile. "We can't just punch our way through that."
Starfire looks up at the behemoth, her usual bright demeanor clouded with concern. "Such power… it would bring great sorrow if unleashed upon this city." Togepi chirps from its Poké Ball, sensing Starfire's unease.
"Yeah, that guy's not exactly what you'd call 'approachable'," Squirrel Girl chimes in, patting Emolga on the shoulder. Tippy-Toe chatters nervously from her own perch.
"Insignificant gnats!" Mole Man screeches from Giganto's shoulder, his voice amplified by some unseen device. "You think your little tricks and your… talking animals can stop the might of Giganto? This city will crumble! Subterranea will reign supreme!" He gestures wildly with his staff, as if commanding the very earth beneath them.
"Alright, Titans, FF, let's do this!" Valeria barks, her voice sharp with command. "Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, keep the Moloids off our backs! Robin, with me and Beldum – we focus on Giganto's legs!"
Ms. Marvel grins, her body already starting to stretch. "You got it, Val! Eevee, Emolga, let's show these little guys what we're made of!" Eevee chirps, its tail wagging, while Emolga buzzes with stored electricity. Squirrel Girl nods, a determined glint in her eye. "Tippy-Toe, coordinate the squirrel division! We need to keep those ground-dwellers busy!"
Robin salutes crisply. "Understood. Pawniard, execute Plan Delta." Pawniard's blades gleam as it readies itself, a miniature warrior poised for battle.
"Starfire, Raven, airborne support! Beast Boy, Cyborg, heavy hitters – go for the head!" Robin's commands cut through the rising panic.
Giganto roars, a sound that rattles the very foundations of the buildings. Mole Man, perched precariously on its shoulder, cackles. "You fools! Giganto is unstoppable!"
Valeria activates her watch, a shimmering field emanating from it. "Beldum, deploy!" Beldum floats forward, its metallic body humming with magnetic energy. Valeria directs it with sharp gestures, "Target the joints! Maximize magnetic repulsion!" Beldum fires pulses of energy, aiming for Giganto's massive knees.
WHAM! Giganto stumbles as Beldum's magnetic blasts disrupt its footing.
Ms. Marvel stretches her arms into massive gauntlets, punching Moloids away like flies. "Take that, you little slimeballs!" she shouts, her voice amplified by her powers. Squirrel Girl, a blur of brown and tan, dodges and weaves through the ground troops, her squirrel army swarming around them, nipping and distracting. Emolga zips through the air, discharging small bolts of electricity that stun groups of Moloids. Eevee, surprisingly brave, stands its ground, using Quick Attack to disrupt approaching enemies.
"Now, Starfire!" Robin calls out.
Starfire ascends into the sky, her body glowing with solar energy. "For Tamaran! For Earth!" she cries, unleashing a barrage of starbolts that rain down on Giganto's head. Togepi, held gently in Starfire's free hand, emits a soft, comforting glow, its presence seemingly bolstering Starfire's resolve.
Raven, a dark silhouette against the chaos, raises her hands. Shadows writhe around her, forming tendrils that lash out, binding and restraining Moloids. Misdreavus floats beside her, its red eyes glowing, emitting a low, haunting wail that seems to disorient the smaller creatures, making them stumble and hesitate.
Cyborg's arm cannon charges, a blue light intensifying. "Time to turn up the volume, baby!" he booms, unleashing a powerful sonic blast that shakes Giganto's massive frame. Whismur, perched on his shoulder, lets out a controlled, piercing cry that adds to the sonic assault, causing smaller Moloids to cover their ears.
Beast Boy, now a hulking rhinoceros, charges at Giganto's legs, his horns aiming for impact. Rockruff, a small but determined blur, races alongside him, biting and clawing at the titan's ankles, a relentless, yapping fury.
"Beldum, final push!" Valeria shouts. Beldum focuses its energy, its red eye glowing intensely. It launches a powerful magnetic pulse directly at Giganto's chest, creating a significant tremor.
CRACK!
The combined assault is too much. Starfire's starbolts sear Giganto's hide, Robin and Pawniard's precise strikes find weak points in its joints, Ms. Marvel's punches land with bone-jarring force, and Beldum's final magnetic blast seems to be the breaking point.
Giganto bellows, a sound of pain and frustration, and stumbles backward. Its massive legs buckle, and with a ground-shaking THUD, it collapses onto its side, sending a shockwave through the city. The Moloids, seeing their master fall, scatter in disarray.
"We did it!" Beast Boy cheers, reverting to his human form.
"That was incredible!" Ms. Marvel exclaims, patting Eevee.
But Mole Man is far from finished. He scrambles from Giganto's fallen form, pulling a strange, humming device from his tattered tunic. It's a metallic orb, etched with glowing runes, radiating an unsettling energy.
"You may have defeated Giganto," Mole Man snarls, his voice trembling with rage, "but you haven't won!" He holds the device aloft, its hum growing louder, more intense. "With this, the Subterranean Sinker, I will drag this entire city block beneath the earth! You'll all become part of my domain!"
The ground begins to tremble again, far more violently this time. Cracks spiderweb across the pavement, and the buildings around them groan as if about to collapse. The heroes look at each other, a grim realization dawning on their faces.
