Chapter 2: Chaos Has Begun

Before Joon-seo could start walking away from the throne where he had been sitting, a loud, high-pitched voice called out to him:

"Where are you going, Master?"

It was the voice of a female demon whose appearance resembled that of a lion—though only her ears, claws, and teeth had the features of one.

Joon-seo: "I'm getting out of this crazy, gloomy place. This world feels like a circus."

He said it with a cheerful tone, looking toward the young feline demon, Lulu.

Lulu: "But Master, you know I love you so much... I really like you."

Lulu spoke with a sad yet lovestruck expression, her face blushing as she looked at Joon-seo.

Joon-seo: "Ah, you ugly beast, hahaha! I could never feel anything for you, hahaha!"

Lulu: "I'll take that as a joke, then..."

She said, blushing even more in embarrassment.

I'll miss you all too... but I can't say it out loud. I've always been too shy. None of them have ever seen my face or my body because of my ability — Absolute Light.

Joon-seo thought to himself, glancing upward with a faint smile.

Lulu: "Show us your face, Master! None of us have ever seen it!"

Michael: "She's right. We've never seen your face, Master."

Both Lulu and Michael looked at their master with curious expressions.

Joon-seo: "Alright... maybe because I'm leaving today, I'll reveal my face to you all. I hope you won't be scared—or laugh at how I look."

Michael: "We would never do that, Master!"

Lulu: "Of course not! Right, everyone?"

"That's right, we'd never do that."

"I wouldn't dare disrespect the Master."

"Not saying a word!"

The other demons knelt down before their master as they spoke.

'Ability: Absolute Light — Deactivated!'

The message appeared on Joon-seo's ability screen as he turned off the skill, allowing everyone to finally see his face.

"He looks like a god..."

"He's so handsome..."

"Where did he come from?"

"A being like this has never been seen before!"

The demons were in awe, stunned by their master's divine appearance.

Joon-seo looked like a young man around 20 years old, with short, smooth black hair that slightly covered his forehead—just like any ordinary South Korean.

Joon-seo: "Whoa, calm down, everyone! With all those surprised faces, you're making me feel like some kind of celebrity!"

He grinned to the side, jokingly.

Michael: "Master, in the 35,000 years we've served you, this is the first time you've ever shown your face. It feels like I'm dreaming."

Michael said, overjoyed.

Lulu: "My love for you just grew even more... uhu~"

I really don't want to stay here anymore. These guys treat me like I'm perfect—it's uncomfortable. I can't tell if they love me or fear me. Since I arrived, I've done nothing but fight demons and defeat the seven Demon Kings who ruled this world.

Joon-seo thought to himself, reflecting on everything that had led to this moment—his chance to finally go home.

Joon-seo: "Michael, take me to the portal now. From today onward, you are the new Demon King. You've always been known as the Prince of Hell—now it's official."

Michael: "I'll take care of this dark world just as perfectly as you did, Master."

Michael knelt, bowing deeply before Joon-seo.

Lulu: "It was an honor and a great joy to serve you, my great Master."

She ran forward and hugged him tightly.

Joon-seo: "Enough with the hugs already."

He said, slipping out of Lulu's arms.

Hours passed, and Joon-seo and Michael finally arrived at the portal the demon seer had mentioned. It stood open, glowing with an ominous light.

Joon-seo: "Looks like it's time to go."

Michael: "It was an honor serving you, great Master."

It really was an honor to serve him. He was incredibly powerful. From the moment he arrived in the Underworld, I could sense his terrifying aura. He defeated all seven Demon Princes—together—on just his second day here. The fight only lasted ten minutes...

Michael thought as he watched his master.

Joon-seo: "Goodbye forever, losers! Hahaha!"

Joon-seo shouted as he stepped into the portal.

Phew... that seer's vision was right after all. I actually made it back—to my world. The one I always dreamed of returning to every single day in the Underworld.

Joon-seo thought to himself as he found himself standing in the middle of a city street he didn't recognize.

I wonder if my abilities still work here... If they do, I'll be really happy.

He opened his status screen, the same one he had in the dark world, and decided to test it.

Joon-seo: "Absolute Light — Activate!"

The moment he activated the ability, his entire body shone bright white, radiating with intense light.

"A monster!"

"There's a monster!"

"Run!"

"Call the heroes!"

The people nearby panicked as they saw Joon-seo glowing with overwhelming power. To them, he looked like a Catastrophe-Class S monster—the highest and most dangerous rank.

Everyone ran in fear, thinking they were about to die. His bright light terrified them, convincing them he was some kind of new monster that had appeared out of nowhere.

In another part of the city, a young woman heard the screams and decided to check what was happening. When she arrived, she saw Joon-seo surrounded by chaos.

"A Catastrophe-Class S monster! Run!"

She shouted as others continued filming the scene with their phones.

Some people ran away—but others, arriving late, stopped to record and take pictures.

Joon-seo: "Guys, I'm not a monster, haha!"

He said, smiling awkwardly at the crowd filming him.
