After Iruka left, Kitazawa sat at his desk, fingers interlocked, resting against the bridge of his nose.
He was thinking—thinking about how, exactly, to become the class representative of Class 1-A.
If he were a student, that would make sense. But he was a teacher.
A teacher competing with students for a class leader position? That was absurd.
Still, there was no skipping this mission. The reward was too valuable—Water Attribute Chakra.
Chakra, in total, came in seven types. The common ones: Wind, Water, Fire, Earth, and Lightning. The rare, hidden types: Yin and Yang.
Every ninja was born with one or two elemental affinities.
For example, someone with a Lightning attribute would naturally learn Lightning Release faster, and their jutsu would hit harder.
Kitazawa had already tested his chakra nature—Wind and Fire.
Gaining an additional attribute meant gaining a major edge. There was no way he was passing that up.
Sighing, he stood, walked behind his desk to the small wooden bed against the wall, and lay down flat, arms outstretched in a perfect 木-shape.
Thinking turned into drifting. Drifting turned into sleep. And soon, consciousness faded.
Class 2-C.
As soon as Tora no Suke sat down, he noticed a small folded note on his desk.
Frowning, he opened it.
There was only one sentence:
"Don't leave after school tomorrow."
And at the bottom, the signature—Hyuga Hinata.
That name made his eyes widen.
"When did that crybaby, pale-eyed freak get guts like that?"
Two boys about his age leaned over curiously.
"Big bro, you got one too?"
They held up their own notes—identical.
"What's this supposed to mean?"
Tora no Suke frowned.
"Should we go? What if it's a trap?" one of the boys whispered. "She is the Hyuga clan's heiress…"
"Of course we're going!"
Tora no Suke snorted coldly. "This is between kids. Adults won't interfere."
That was precisely why he'd been able to bully others so freely at school—because in the shinobi world, strength ruled.
If Hiashi Hyuga ever personally punished them, every clan in Konoha would mock him for picking on children.
"Then it's our guaranteed win!"
"Obviously! Three against one—odds are in our favor!"
Tora no Suke smirked. "Let's make sure we enjoy this."
"You're the best, big bro!"
The other two quickly flattered him.
A blink, a breath, and lunch break was over.
Kitazawa sat up, stretching with a yawn.
He now had a plan—to cheat the system, plain and simple.
The task said he needed to become the class representative. It didn't say for how long.
Perfect loophole.
After splashing cold water on his face, he checked the time and headed toward the classroom.
Right as he arrived, the bell rang.
"Heh, just in time," Kitazawa chuckled and stepped onto the podium.
"Kitazawa-sensei!"
Ino Yamanaka jumped up and waved both hands like a cheerleader, her voice full of excitement.
At the end of her wave, she shot Sakura Haruno a smug, triumphant look.
Sakura rolled her eyes.
Sure, Kitazawa was handsome—but he wasn't their age. Someday he'd get older, and she… well, she had other priorities.
Her gaze drifted to Sasuke Uchiha, and a sweet smile blossomed on her face.
Sasuke didn't even glance her way.
In his mind, there were only two people worth his attention—Itachi and Fugaku Uchiha.
He wanted to get stronger. Strong enough for their approval.
Girls? They only slow down training.
"Alright," Kitazawa said, smiling. "Let's start class. Does anyone know who founded the Hidden Leaf Village?"
Naruto's hand shot up instantly.
"I know! It was Hashirama Senju!"
"More precisely," Kitazawa corrected with a patient grin, "it was the Senju Clan. Both the First and Second Hokage came from that family."
"But, Kitazawa-sensei," Naruto asked curiously, "why don't we see any Senju ninja anymore?"
"There are still some," Kitazawa replied. "For example, one of the Legendary Sannin—Lady Tsunade—is a member of the Senju Clan."
At that moment, Sasuke raised his hand.
"Sasuke?" Kitazawa called.
"My brother said the Uchiha Clan also helped found the village."
The class stirred with surprise.
Only students from major clans—like Hinata Hyuga and Shikamaru Nara—seemed unsurprised.
Most others didn't know much about the Uchiha's proud past.
After all, the clan's reputation had suffered greatly since the Nine-Tails incident.Their compound had been relocated to the village outskirts, and ANBU surveillance never left them alone.
"Correct," Kitazawa said, nodding. "The Senju and Uchiha Clans ended the chaos of the Warring States era and built the Hidden Leaf Village together."
Sasuke's expression softened with pride. So my brother was right.
His heart filled with quiet satisfaction.
"Today," Kitazawa continued, "we'll talk about the life of the First Hokage—Hashirama Senju."
He clapped his hands on the desk for effect and struck a storyteller's pose.
"Now then, a long, long time ago, there lived a man…"
His delivery was dramatic, rhythm precise.
No wonder he'd been named Best Instructor three years straight—it wasn't just because of Hiruzen Sarutobi's recommendation.Kitazawa's teaching was genuinely exceptional.
Having come from another world, he'd seen and experienced far more than his peers.
Unlike the academy's stiff, old-fashioned instructors, Kitazawa always had a creative twist up his sleeve.
Kids didn't like lectures. But they loved stories.
So he taught like a performer—half storyteller, half stand-up comedian.
When the bell rang again, signaling the end of class, Kitazawa struck a finishing pose.
"...And what happened next? Well, you'll have to find out in the next lesson!"
The students groaned.
"Ehhh?! Why stop there?!""Why do Kitazawa-sensei's classes go by so fast?!""I used to hate lessons—now I wanna attend them forever!"
Only after Kitazawa left the room did the kids slowly calm down, still buzzing with excitement.
Sasuke, however, frowned slightly.
In the story, the Uchiha Clan had stood shoulder to shoulder with the Senju—equals in power and prestige.
So how had they fallen so far?
After a few moments of hesitation, Sasuke decided to ask his brother, Itachi, when he got home.
As for Kitazawa—he still hadn't earned Sasuke's respect.
The Uchiha only acknowledged true strength.
"Kitazawa-sensei really is the best!" Ino said brightly. Then she turned—only to see Sakura walking toward Sasuke again.
"You… you traitor!" Ino huffed.
Hinata Hyuga glanced at them both, her expression soft but puzzled. She couldn't quite understand their "friendship."
"Hinata, what do you think?" Ino asked suddenly.
Hinata blinked, startled. Then she nodded gently.
"Mm… Yes. He's… really good."
Her thoughts drifted to her father, Hiashi Hyuga.
Every time he taught her Gentle Fist, his face was stern, his tone harsh.
She was already shy by nature, and under that double weight of pressure, her performance suffered.
If Kitazawa had been her instructor instead… she thought she might've learned much faster—and smiled more.
Realizing where her thoughts had wandered, Hinata quickly shook her head, cheeks reddening.
Her strict upbringing forbade such impossible daydreams.
