Sofia and Liam were childhood friends who grew up together. They were in the same class but different sections, and their siblings, Kael (Sofia's little brother) and Emma (Liam's little sister), were also friends. As they grew older, Liam developed feelings for Sofia, but she was too innocent to understand.
When Liam was in 6th class, he started to have feelings for Sofia. He would often talk about her with his friends, and they would try to get closer to her. Whenever their classes merged, Liam's friends would save a special seat for Sofia, and they would play games with her on the bus while going to and coming back from school.
One day, Liam's friend was about to tell Sofia something on the bus, but Liam stopped him and said nothing, trying to cover it up. Sofia noticed and asked what was going on, but Liam just laughed it off and said his friend was talking rubbish. However, Sofia was curious and wanted to know what was going on.
Later, Sofia asked Liam's friend about the incident, and he told her that Liam said she was his girlfriend. Sofia was shocked but happy inside. She didn't know how to react and decided to play along.
However, things took a turn when Sofia's friends asked Liam about it, and he denied knowing her. When Sofia's friends told her about Liam's response, she felt bad and asked why they did that without telling to her. Liam's friends tried to talk to Sofia again, but Liam started maintaining a distance and became cold towards her.
As time passed, Liam's classmates would still try to talk to Sofia, but Liam ignored her. One day, a classmate who was in the same sports class as Sofia befriended her and started telling her lies about Liam. The classmate would tell Sofia that Liam was calling her or asking secrets about her.
One day, the classmate manipulated Sofia into visiting Liam's class by telling her a lie. Sofia knew it was a lie, but she followed her anyway, wanting to know what the classmate was up to. When Sofia entered the class, the whole class started hooting, and Liam's reaction was unexpected. He shouted at Sofia to go away, it made her feel humiliated which broke her heart.
Sofia was angry and sad, and she decided that she would never go back to that class again. She felt humiliated and hurt by Liam's behavior.
One day, Sofia saw Liam going towards the canteen in school, so she decided to follow him. However, she lost track of him initially, but when she found him, she saw that Liam was in a fight with his classmates and being bullied. Sofia felt sad but stayed hidden because she knew that Liam would hate it if she interfered. After that, she followed him back to his class but on the way, Liam saw her in front of him. Sofia tried to say something, but Liam rudely ignored her and went away. Sofia kept standing there for a while, feeling sad and helpless.
After this incident, both Sofia and Liam stopped talking to each other, and the distance between them grew. This continued until the end of 7th class. Sofia came to know from her parents that Liam's family would shift away as the 7th class would end. Sofia was sad but didn't confront Liam. When Liam left, Sofia didn't see him anymore in 8th class. She was sad that she didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to him.
As the years went by, Sofia often thought about Liam and wondered what could have been. She wished she could have talked to him, cleared up the misunderstandings, and said goodbye. The what-ifs lingered in her mind, leaving her with a sense of longing and unfinished business.
