"She was cursed."
A women told the princess.
"Was she..?"
6 year old princess asked her step mother for a logical reasoning behind her statement.
Empress smiled and looked at the princess of this empire SOLMERE, who was looking at her with curious eyes.
"That's what everyone says and believe"
Empress said as stroking princess's hair gently.
"But, do you believe it too..?"
Wise little princess asked in order to get her nanny's perspective.
"Since, I don't know her personally and it is a very old story.. so who am I to judge..? Besides every coin has two faces."
Empress replied while putting the story book back into the bookshelf, and further asked.
"What do you think..?"
Little princess thought for a while and said.
"I think, maybe we don't know her so we potray her as a cursed witch."
Empress smiled and caressed her cheeks and checked again if she is properly tucked in or not.
"Ohh my wise little Princess.. it makes me very honoured to be a friend of such a compassion filled child."
Princess giggled and said
"Silly, you are my only mother figure not a friend."
Empress was shocked and moved with such innocence and honesty.
"You are my daughter, no matter what anyone says."
Empress said while placing a soft peck on princess's forehead.
"Good night, mum."
Princess said while returning the peck on Empress cheeks.
"Good night, dear."
Empress said and saw princess drifting into sleep on clouds of dream.
After leaving princess room tears were filled in empress's eyes as the girl she looked after from the age of 3 years old has finally called her mother with such ease and comfortness as if they were always mother and daughter.
