Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3 – Living with Ong Hai San

Li Tao Lu began explaining about He Xiao Sing to Ong Hai San. He then asked Ong Hai San to examine her himself.

Upon hearing Li Tao Lu's story, Ong Hai San immediately placed his palm on He Xiao Sing's chest and channeled his inner energy into her body. After a few moments, he finally stopped.

"Tao Lu, your guess was right. This child truly possesses Pure Yin Blood. It seems that the prophecy of the ancient elders is about to come true…"

Ong Hai San gazed at He Xiao Sing with mixed feelings. He didn't know what to do. According to the ancient prophecy, the bearer of Pure Yin Blood would one day appear in Kun Lun Sect. When she reached the age of seventeen, she would become both a blessing and a curse for Kun Lun Sect. She would bring fortune if she stayed on the right path, but if she fell into the wrong hands, disaster would surely befall the sect.

Li Tao Lu fell silent upon hearing Ong Hai San's words. He too knew of the prophecy. That was why he felt deeply anxious upon discovering that He Xiao Sing possessed Pure Yin Blood. He didn't want her to live a difficult life.

"Tao Lu, aside from the three of us, never let anyone else know about this. If this secret is leaked, the child will become the target of every cultivator."

"Yes, Elder Ong. We will keep this a secret. But what should we do next, Elder Ong?"

Li Tao Lu asked for Ong Hai San's advice. Since this matter concerned the future of Kun Lun Sect, he didn't dare make decisions on his own.

"Raise her as usual, but you must be extremely careful not to let her get hurt. Don't let anyone discover her special nature. When she turns five, bring her here to become my disciple. I will pass down all of my knowledge to her. I want this child to be a blessing for Kun Lun Sect."

Ong Hai San spoke with great conviction. He firmly believed that under his guidance, He Xiao Sing would become a blessing to Kun Lun Sect. But if she ever betrayed them, he would kill her with his own hands.

Li Tao Lu and Li Xu Xian were very satisfied with Ong Hai San's decision. They then left the place after bidding him farewell.

After they were gone, Ong Hai San smiled in satisfaction. But suddenly, mocking laughter echoed from the wall behind him.

"HAHAHAHA! Foolish human, aren't you afraid that child will bring calamity upon you? Pure Yin Blood belongs to the bloodline of demons! I'm certain that child will destroy Kun Lun Sect one day! HAHAHAHA!!!"

Ong Hai San completely ignored the voice. He was already used to such mockery—it was like a daily occurrence for him.

Feeling ignored, the owner of the voice fell silent. He could only grumble in his heart. He swore that if he ever escaped from this place, he would personally kill Ong Hai San.

==================================

Following Ong Hai San's instructions, He Xiao Sing was raised with great care. Li Xu Xian spent most of his time looking after her alone, not wanting anyone else to learn her secret.

When He Xiao Sing turned five, Li Xu Xian and Li Tao Lu took her to Ong Hai San to become his disciple. However, just as they were about to part, He Xiao Sing suddenly burst into tears. She didn't want to be separated from Li Xu Xian. To her, he was like both a father and a mother. She couldn't bear to part with him.

Li Xu Xian's heart ached seeing her cry like that. He finally begged Ong Hai San to let him stay in the forbidden area. He was willing to become Ong Hai San's servant and help guard the area.

Ong Hai San had no objections. In fact, he needed a trustworthy helper, and Li Xu Xian seemed perfect for the job.

After reaching an agreement, that very day Li Xu Xian and He Xiao Sing began living with Ong Hai San.

He Xiao Sing's life was filled with rigorous training every day. She had to learn martial arts, medicine, cultivate her inner energy, and even memorize Taoist teachings daily. At first, she couldn't get used to such a life, but thanks to Li Xu Xian's encouragement and persuasion, she eventually accepted it.

Li Xu Xian also lived quite well. Through diligence and effort, he became one of Ong Hai San's most trusted aides.

Ong Hai San even passed down some of his skills to Li Xu Xian. Within a few short years, Li Xu Xian's abilities had improved greatly. Ong Hai San planned to make him the guardian of the forbidden area after his own death. He even allowed Li Xu Xian to access almost every part of the forbidden area.

However, there was still one place that Li Xu Xian couldn't enter—the stone wall behind Ong Hai San's chamber. Every time he tried to approach it, he felt an invisible barrier blocking his path. No matter how many times he tried, he could never get close.

Li Xu Xian once asked Ong Hai San about it. Ong Hai San explained that the stone wall was protected by an ancient magical formation. The formation was impenetrable, and it would take at least four cultivators with the same level of power as Ong Hai San to open it.

When Li Xu Xian asked what lay beyond the wall, Ong Hai San gave no clear answer. He only said that whatever was behind it must never be released, and warned him not to let anyone approach the area.

After hearing the explanation, Li Xu Xian chose not to ask further. He decided to follow Ong Hai San's orders faithfully without question.
