Chapter 1 - TGL 1

In a grand room at the heart of the Xion military headquarters, sat a woman with an intimidating yet enchanting aura. Her long, jet-black hair fell neatly over her shoulders and down her back. Her skin was as pale as snow, contrasting with her dark military uniform.

Her eyes were a deep, piercing black, and piercing. Her aquiline nose and small, pink lips further emphasized her dangerous beauty—the great General Lu Chen.

The entire army knew her by a nickname that sent shivers down anyone's spine.

"The Frozen Blade."

A woman with a heart as cold as ice, and once she acted—she showed no mercy.

Before her stood a young lieutenant with a stern yet nervous face, Lieutenant Tianlong. He stood straight, holding his breath as his general spoke.

"How is it? Have you found the mafia's hideout, Lieutenant Tianlong?" Lu Chen asked in a flat tone and a sharp gaze.

The female general's voice was calm, but its chill pierced to the bone.

"Yes, General. According to the reconnaissance team, they're hiding in an old factory at the edge of town," Tianlong replied cautiously, trying to mask his fear.

Lu Chen stared at the map on his desk for a moment, then nodded slowly.

"Very well, Lieutenant Tianlong. Prepare all troops. We will attack tonight."

"Yes, General. I will immediately prepare all equipment and troops for tonight's operation," Tianlong said with a salute, then stepped back before turning and leaving the room.

As soon as the door closed, Tianlong let out a long sigh.

"Phew... The great general is truly terrifying," he muttered softly. "No wonder he's called The Frozen Blade. Just his gaze makes my blood run cold."

He straightened up and hurried to the barracks to prepare his troops.

11:00 PM, outside the old factory at the edge of town

The night air was chilly, shrouded in a thin mist. In the distance, the lights of Xion city seemed dim and distant. The old factory that had become the mafia's lair stood like a dead structure—dark, rusty, and smelling of scrap metal.

Lu Chen stood behind a concrete wall, dressed in black combat fatigues, a weapon strapped to his back. Beside him, Lieutenant Tianlong stared at a small screen in his hand, monitoring enemy positions via a surveillance drone.

"Is everything ready, Lieutenant Tianlong?" Lu Chen asked, his eyes never leaving the factory.

"Yes, General. The troops are already in position. They're just waiting for your order to move," Tianlong replied quickly.

"Good," Lu Chen said calmly. "What are those mafia members doing now?"

"They're... partying, General. Many of them are drunk. It looks like they just received a shipment of illegal goods from the port."

A faint smile crossed Lu Chen's lips—a smile more sinister than angry.

"Good. We'll strike while they're drunk and off guard."

Lieutenant Tianlong swallowed hard. Every time he saw that smile, the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.

"She… truly is like a demon queen," he thought to himself. "Cold, calm, and deadly."

"Y… yes, General," he replied haltingly.

A few minutes later, Liu Chen gestured with his hand.

"All units, stand by."

The special forces moved silently. Light footsteps echoed through the dark shadows.

Inside the factory, loud music blared from old speakers. Drunk mobsters danced and laughed, oblivious to the approaching danger.

"For our great success today! Guo Fang will never be defeated!" shouted a large man amidst the party. It was Guo Fang, the mob boss who had long been a top fugitive from the Xion military.

Laughter and cheers echoed, while outside—Liu Chen stepped forward.

"Now," he said curtly.

The large factory door was kicked open with a loud bang.

CRACK!

All heads turned. The music stopped abruptly. Cigarette smoke and the smell of alcohol mingled in the suddenly tense air.

"Interesting," Guo Fang said with a grin. "I thought who would dare crash my party tonight... turns out it was the great General Lu Chen."

His tone was mocking, full of arrogance. He took a swig from a large glass bottle and then smashed it to the floor, shattering it.

Liu Chen stood tall in the doorway, his gaze piercing everyone in the room.

"Did you enjoy your last party?" he said coldly.

Some of Guo Fang's men immediately raised their weapons, but before they could fire, Lu Chen's troops closed in from all directions.

The first shots were fired. The sound of bullets shattered the silence of the night.

"Attack them!" Guo Fang shouted angrily.

A firefight broke out. Gunpowder smoke filled the room, glass shattered, and screams echoed. Lieutenant Tianlong took cover behind a metal box, firing at the enemy.

"General! They have heavy weapons on the east side!" he shouted.

"Divert two teams there. Don't let them get out alive," Lu Chen replied without a change in expression.

He strode forward amidst the chaos, each step steady and controlled. Bullets flew, but none seemed to dare touch him.

After several minutes of intense fighting, the sound of gunfire began to subside. The remaining mobsters fell, helpless. Only Guo Fang remained standing, his face smeared with blood, staring at Lu Chen with hatred.

"Why are you silent, honorable great general? Have you suddenly lost your voice?" Guo Fang taunted, panting.

Lu Chen stared at him flatly. "Surrender... or die."

Guo Fang laughed loudly. "Hahaha! You think I'm afraid of you, Lu Chen? I'm not afraid of even a woman nicknamed The Frozen Blade! You may be feared by everyone, but not me!"

Lu Chen's gaze grew colder. He slowly drew his pistol from its holster.

"Oh... so you choose death, Guo Fang."
