Vice Admiral Ellis leaned against the wall, his long sword resting on his shoulder, his gaze indifferent, a sneer on his lips.
He recognized Kaido and Noro at a glance, including their respective bounties.
He'd been reading newspapers for so many years on Baltigo, he hadn't been reading them for nothing.
After being stationed here, Vice Admiral Ellis had slowly come to understand Vegapunk's importance.
Therefore, in his view, Kaido and Noro's bounties were so high entirely because they'd destroyed Vegapunk's research facility.
So he didn't take them seriously at all.
Noro, having been in the Marines, also recognized the person before him as a Marine Vice Admiral.
A Marine Vice Admiral stationed in this backwater place, was it to protect the research facility, or to use Vegapunk's hometown to threaten that genius scientist?
A question worth pondering.
"We're really being looked down on!" Noro said, gripping his halberd, about to step forward.
With his hidden strength and Mythical Zoan Fruit, if he really fought, a Marine Vice Admiral wouldn't be a match for him.
Kaido's "Hassaikai," however, blocked Noro's path, his neck cracking as he turned it slightly, grinning savagely, "Let me handle this, Noro, just a warm-up."
"Suit yourself," Noro said, throwing his halberd back into Stussy's Door-Door World.
Ellis was enraged by the scene before him, veins popping on his forehead, "Arrogant!"
Unable to endure these two arrogant pirates any longer, Ellis drew his long sword, gripping it with both hands, charging towards Kaido.
Kaido didn't seem to take the so-called Marine Vice Admiral seriously, only slowly raising his "Hassaikai" when the long sword was upon him.
"Clang!"
Sword and club collided, sparks flying.
Vice Admiral Ellis's fierce strike was effortlessly blocked by Kaido, no matter how hard he gritted his teeth, pressing down with all his might, it was useless.
Kaido exerted force, and Vice Admiral Ellis couldn't withstand the terrifying strength, staggering back.
Vice Admiral Ellis steadied himself, inwardly shocked, "This pirate, what strength!"
Kaido gripped "Hassaikai" with both hands, grinning as he charged towards Ellis, swinging the club down.

Knowing he couldn't compete in strength, Ellis naturally wouldn't fight head-on, his figure quickly disappearing. Kaido's club smashed into a wall, destroying a large section.
Noro frowned, shouting to Kaido, "Hey, Kaido, don't fight here, fight outside, don't damage the lab."
A mere Vice Admiral was no match for Kaido, but Kaido at this time wasn't strong enough to instantly kill a Vice Admiral.
Noro already considered this research facility his territory, and the damage from a fight would be huge, which Noro wouldn't allow.
Ellis, having dodged Kaido's attack, was floating in mid-air using Moonwalk, hearing this, he sneered, "Heh, interesting, you can even choose the battlefield!"
Noro didn't mind, just a dying man. He had to find a way to lure him out of here, Vegapunk's research data was priceless.
He had an idea...
"I say, Vice Admiral, you don't want the research facility to be damaged, do you?"
After shouting this, Noro felt something was off.

Ellis snorted coldly, using Moonwalk to head towards the lab's entrance.
His purpose for being stationed here naturally included protecting the research facility from damage.
Marines dying could be reported to Headquarters, and more could be sent. If the lab was destroyed, no explanation would be useful.
"Worororororo..." Kaido, holding "Hassaikai," laughed loudly, flying after him.
After the two left, Noro immediately issued orders to the others, "King, you, Englar, and Matty, you three clear out all the Marines in the research facility."
"Queen, go see what resources in the research facility are worth your study."
"Yes, Vice-Captain!"
King and the others replied in unison, only Matty asking timidly, "Vice-Captain, don't we need to worry about the Captain?"
That Marine's power was terrifying, was it really okay to let the Captain fight alone?
Noro smiled calmly, "Have faith in our Captain! A Vice Admiral is no match for him!"
Hearing this, Matty nodded heavily, "I understand."
Outside the lab, the sounds of Kaido and Ellis's battle were astonishing.
Inside the lab, everyone took action.
King, wielding his long sword, moved through the lab's corridors, Marines falling wherever he passed.
Englar and Matty, one on the left, one on the right, coordinated perfectly, driving back the Marines who tried to resist.
Queen, a cigar in his mouth, walked into the labs, looking at the various instruments and data, his eyes shining, muttering, "These are all treasures!"
Back in the MADS organization, he'd worked with Vegapunk for a time.
Everyone in the organization, including him, might have been somewhat dissatisfied with Vegapunk on the surface, but deep down they were absolutely convinced.
Vegapunk wasn't just winning by a little, he was completely crushing them.
Even the research data left here, from who knew how long ago, was worth studying carefully.
Stussy, seeing there was nothing for her to do, smiled and snuggled up to him, "What about me, Vice-Captain?"

Moreover, Ellis had been lying flat on Baltigo for many years, his body was almost rusted.
Before long, Kaido walked back to the research facility, carrying Vice Admiral Ellis's corpse, throwing it before everyone.
"Worororororo... Noro, this Marine Vice Admiral wasn't very durable."
Noro was speechless =_=
