With a quick spell activation, Victoria pushed the spider corpse to the wall by creating a wall of ice parallel to the wall. It rose beside the spider and slid across the ground until the spider was almost flat as a pancake.
Alec's eyes widened. Victoria was even more capable than he had expected. That speed and the power of her spell were incredible. He felt like the result wouldn't have changed, even if the spider had been alive.
For a first-circle mage, that was impressive.
'As expected of a duke's daughter, I guess. Maybe we don't need to be worried.'
After brushing the spider corpse aside, Victoria took the lead and walked into the next section of the Treasure Room, which turned out to be a large ceremonial hall. Glass beads illuminated the empty chamber, starting from the domed ceiling.
Other than the engravings on the floor, the room was completely barren. Alec couldn't tell if it was by design or if the ones who discovered the ruin had stripped it bare.
