The four of them looked at each other and smiled.
Done.
Henry nodded slightly, feeling a little emotional.
The Avengers, no, the founding members of Stark's Private Demolition Co., Ltd., have assembled.
Although the painting style looks a bit crooked, the combat power is absolutely off the charts.
Now it's time to let those Hydra bastards experience the power of capital."
Afternoon time
In the room, Wanda and Pepper also made their choices.
When Pepper opened the door of the ward again, and prepared to bring them lunch.
What she saw was no longer two confused children.
Wanda and Pietro had changed into clean casual clothes and sat side by side on the bed, like two elementary school students waiting for a lecture from their teacher.
"Ms. Potts." Wanda stood up first when she saw Pepper come in, a hint of nervousness on her face.
"We've thought it through."
Pepper was stunned for a moment, then smiled gently.
She placed the tray on the table and asked softly, "So, what are your choices?"
Wanda took a deep breath and glanced at Pietro beside her, seeing encouragement in his eyes.
"We choose to stay." She said slowly, every word was firm.
"We want to see for ourselves what Mr. Stark is talking about as a future."
A hint of relief flashed in Pepper's eyes.
She knew that these two children were not bad by nature.
"I'm glad you made this decision," she said with a smile.
"Believe me, you won't regret it."
"But..." Pietro suddenly spoke, his tone somewhat unwilling.
"Just because we stay doesn't mean we trust you. We just want to avenge our parents with our own hands. If we find out that you are in cahoots with Hydra..."
"Then you can leave at any time." A familiar voice came from the door.
Henry had appeared at the door without me noticing. He was leaning against the door frame with a lollipop in his mouth.
"We never force anyone." He looked at Wanda and Pietro.
"But I have to remind you that if you want revenge, it's useless to just talk about it."
He paused, then walked in slowly.
"Your strength is great, but too crude," he commented bluntly.
"You are like two kids holding a nuclear bomb button in your hands. You don't even know how to control it, let alone use it to fight." Pietro's face instantly showed an expression of dissatisfaction. He was about to refute, but was stopped by Wanda's eyes.
Wanda looked at Henry with a desire for knowledge in her eyes.
"So what should we do?" she asked softly.
Henry smiled when he heard this.
"It's very simple." He walked up to the two of them and spoke persuasively.
"From today on, I will teach you."
Henry's voice fell, and the room fell into silence.
Pietro looked at him warily, suspicion written in his eyes.
He couldn't understand why the man who had mercilessly knocked him unconscious a few days ago suddenly offered to teach them. In his opinion, this was more like a conspiracy of the weasel paying New Year's greeting to the chicken.
Teach us? What does he want to do?
Is he training us to be his and Tony Stark's lackeys? Or is he trying to steal the secret of our powers from us?
Pietro's inner alarm bells rang, his body subconsciously tensed up, and he was ready to run away with his sister at any time.
But Wanda is different.
She looked at Henry quietly, her eyes, which had just been filled with tears, now had different thoughts.
In Henry's memories, she saw a Tony that was completely different from what they had imagined.
Although that man had a poisonous tongue and always used cynicism to cover up himself, deep down in his heart, he carried an extraordinary sense of responsibility and loneliness.
Especially when she saw Henry rushing to the terrorist base alone to rescue Tony.
Her heart, which had long been frozen by hatred, suddenly felt a shock.
This man seemed completely different from the devil that Baron Strucker described.
"Why... do you want to help us?" Wanda's voice was a little hoarse, and she asked the biggest question in her heart.
"Help you?" Henry raised an eyebrow at that, then pulled another lollipop from his pocket, slowly tore open the candy wrapper, and put it in his mouth.
"Oh, no, no, no, Ms. Maximov, you got one thing wrong. I'm not helping you, I'm helping myself." He paced the room, the stick of the lollipop dangling up and down in his mouth.
"You two," he pointed at Wanda and then at Pietro with his candy stick.
"They're like two unstable bombs. They're the kind that have great power but are defective with inferior fuses. Honestly, leaving you two in my house like this, Tony worries every night about waking up to find our villa, worth hundreds of millions of dollars, razed to the ground by you two just because of some silly excuse like breakfast wasn't tasty to day."
"This guy is such a bastard!"
Pietro gritted his teeth. If it weren't for the collar around his neck, he would have rushed up immediately and let this guy, who was spewing shit all over his mouth, taste the power of his fist.
"So," Henry continued, ignoring Pietro's glare that was almost spitting fire.
"For the sake of my mansion, my sports car, and those limited edition game consoles I haven't even opened yet, I feel I need to teach you two a lesson."
"I need to teach you how to control the power within you. Let you know when to step on the accelerator and when to step on the brake. Instead of doing what we do now, where we floor the accelerator and rush forward with our eyes closed, crashing into whatever we hit."
His metaphors are crude but vivid.
Wanda's cheeks flushed slightly as she remembered the time she lost control in the lab.
If Henry hadn't taken action at the last moment, her energy would have destroyed the entire base.
"How is it?" Henry stopped and looked down at them with a playful smile.
"Will you choose to continue being a dangerous person who can't even control himself, or will you choose to become a strong person who can dominate his own power?"
"The choice is yours."
Another multiple-choice question.
This man always seems to like throwing multiple-choice questions in front of others.
Wanda glanced at Pietro beside her, then looked at the confident man in front of her.
She took a deep breath and nodded slowly.
"I promise."
"Wanda!" Pietro exclaimed. He couldn't believe that his sister would so easily agree to this unknown teaching.
"We can't trust him!" he said anxiously. "He's a Stark!"
"I know." Wanda turned to look at her brother with a firm look in her eyes.
"But he's right, Pietro. We need to learn to control ourselves. To avenge our parents, and to stop being used as weapons by anyone."
Pietro looked at his sister's determined eyes, opened his mouth, but ultimately swallowed back all his words of objection.
From childhood to adulthood, he always listened to his sister.
"Okay." He muttered reluctantly.
"But let me make this clear first. If you dare to have any bad intentions towards Wanda, I promise, even if it means risking my life, I will..."
"I will knock you out too, and then hang you from the ceiling like a human ceiling fan." Henry took over his words expressionlessly.
"Don't worry, I'm not interested in women who don't understand feelings, especially those with a temper like a powder keg who wants to blow up the house at any time." Wanda looked at her hands and smiled awkwardly.
This guy is so hateful!
Meanwhile, the lab.
Tony was staring intently at the Hydra base marked as top secret on the holographic screen.
These are the toughest targets.
Beside him, Bruce Banner was looking at the data on another screen with a frown.
Blonsky stood quietly by with his arms folded.
"Jarvis, enlarge the structural diagram of this base a little more." Tony's fingers passed through the air, and a huge base model was instantly enlarged to occupy half of the laboratory.
"I need to simulate its external material and know how much power my laser needs to have to cut it open."
"Analysing, sir." Jarvis's gentle voice sounded.
"The preliminary assessment is that...the alloy...is more than three meters thick. It is recommended to use a high-frequency...laser with a power setting of more than 75%."
"Only 75%?" Tony curled his lips, then frowned.
"Is my design so conservative? Turn up the power! I want to let those mice hiding under the ice feel the warmth from the sun!"
Banner pushed his glasses up and spoke with some concern, "Tony, according to energy simulations, if we directly use a maximum-power laser to cut, it may trigger a chain reaction, causing the energy core of the entire base to explode prematurely. In that case, we may not be able to obtain the complete experimental data."
"Of course I know, Bruce. Do you think I'm consulting with you?" Tony said without turning around, his arrogance rising again.
"I'm just stating a fact. Statistics are important, but sometimes, a spectacular fireworks display can be even more effective in shocking people."
