Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Ice and Fire Alchemy Body

Chapter 12: Ice and Fire Alchemy Body

"What kind of herbs?" Bibi Dong asked curiously.

Having just experienced the miraculous power of the Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew, her interest in Qi Tian's words spiked. If there were more herbs like that, how could she not be tempted?

Qi Tian pointed toward the two opposite springs—one milky white, the other fiery red. Beside each spring grew a rare immortal herb.

"Those two," he said. "The Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass beside the white spring, and the Internal Delicate Apricot beside the red one."

He looked at her seriously. "But be warned—consuming these two herbs is incredibly dangerous. One small mistake, and even a Titled Douluo could lose their life. Do you still dare to try?"

Without hesitation, Bibi Dong nodded. "Why wouldn't I?"

Qi Tian couldn't help but chuckle. "You're really not afraid of dying from their poison?"

He then explained carefully—

The Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass carried the ultimate essence of Ice, capable of freezing even martial souls solid, let alone flesh and blood.

The Internal Delicate Apricot, on the other hand, contained the purest flame under heaven—taking it could easily burn the body to ashes.

"Afraid of what? You wouldn't let me die anyway," Bibi Dong said smugly.

Qi Tian was left momentarily speechless. Her confidence wasn't unfounded—she had long noticed how much he valued her safety. Otherwise, why would he be so familiar with her soul skills and so against Yu Xiaogang and Qian Xunji? He clearly couldn't bear to see her harmed.

Qi Tian sighed helplessly. "Of course I wouldn't. If you die, my soul becomes a wandering ghost in this world."

He truly wasn't sure what would happen if she perished—would his soul automatically attach to another host, or simply dissipate into the void?

Either way, he couldn't let that happen. With only his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul, his progress would be unbearably slow without her.

Qi Tian stepped out from the protection of the Aromatic Silk Beauty's aura and approached the pool.

The two springs before him—one milky white, one crimson red—boiled with terrifying energy, each dominating half the pond. The air itself distorted where they met.

Even a Titled Douluo wouldn't dare touch this water directly, and for a hundred-thousand-year soul beast, it meant certain death if it entered their body.

From his pack, Qi Tian retrieved two specially prepared daggers—one forged from iron, the other carved from pure jade.

"The Ice Grass must be cut with metal, and the Fire Apricot must be harvested with jade," he murmured.

With his martial soul activated, spider legs burst from his back, and Qi Tian leaped toward the white spring. With a swift motion, he sliced down the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass—the blade freezing over instantly. Then, without pause, he sprang across to the opposite side and used the jade dagger to sever the Internal Delicate Apricot.

Landing back on solid ground, Qi Tian quickly used his third soul skill—Spider Web Restraint—to pull the two herbs closer.

Even so, the web threads began to crack and sizzle; one side froze brittle, the other ignited to ash.

Watching this, even Bibi Dong couldn't help but swallow nervously.

"These… can these really be eaten?"

The two herbs finally landed before them, their overwhelming energy settling down slightly. The Internal Delicate Apricot glowed a deep crimson, radiating waves of heat, while the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass exhaled a deadly chill.

Qi Tian took a deep breath. "After I take them, I'll jump into the pool immediately. I don't know how long it'll take to refine their power—if I lose consciousness, be ready to wake up in the water yourself."

Bibi Dong nodded, a trace of tension flickering in her eyes. "I understand. Just… be careful."

Without further hesitation, Qi Tian took both herbs in hand and shoved them into his mouth.

Since this wasn't his real body, he didn't bother to hold back.

The herbs dissolved the instant they touched his tongue, releasing the extremes of cold and heat that clashed violently inside Bibi Dong's body.

One half of her turned an eerie blue-purple, frozen solid.

The other half flushed scarlet like a steamed prawn, heat radiating from every pore.

Without the protection of the pool, her body would have been torn apart within seconds—frozen and scorched from the inside out.

Qi Tian clenched his teeth, enduring the unbearable agony as the twin forces raged through her veins.

Although Bibi Dong couldn't control her body at the moment, her senses remained intact—she felt every shred of the excruciating pain as if her flesh and soul were being ripped apart.

Bibi Dong endured the unbearable pain in silence, afraid that any distraction might disrupt Qi Tian's control and cause a fatal accident.

Once the medicinal power fully erupted, Qi Tian leapt straight into the pool—right into the point where the milky white and crimson springs intertwined.

The clash of extreme cold and heat pressed against him from all directions. Only when the inner and outer forces balanced did he feel a brief sense of relief. Slowly, he sank beneath the surface, letting the twin energies flow through him, refining flesh and spirit alike.

When dawn arrived, Qi Tian opened his eyes in the dormitory of Nuoding Academy.

A sharp gleam flashed across his gaze, as if two blades of light had cut through the dim room. His perception swept across the hundred-square-meter dormitory with uncanny clarity.

"It worked!" Qi Tian said in excitement.

The miraculous effect of the Full Moon Wearing Dew had truly carried over into reality!

"As expected of 'cultivating the true through the false'—this ability is terrifyingly strong." His heart surged with exhilaration.

When he focused inward, Qi Tian was astonished to sense two new strands of soul power within his body—one milky white, one scarlet red.

They spiraled together within his dantian, forming a miniature Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, continuously tempering his body and meridians.

These two powers came from none other than the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass and the Internal Delicate Apricot—the embodiment of ultimate cold and ultimate heat.

Although he hadn't personally experienced the full physical transformation of taking the immortal herbs, he still reaped their greatest reward—the lingering essence of their extreme forces now coursed within him.

This special soul power would continue to refine his body endlessly. The effect might not match direct consumption of the immortal herbs, but it was not far behind either.

"An Ice and Fire Alchemy Body, immune to all poison."

And more than that—by channeling this dual-element soul power into his Blue Silver Grass, his martial soul would become naturally resistant to both ice and fire energies.

Qi Tian clenched his fists, a grin spreading across his face. "Perfect!"

It was exhilarating. The Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well was currently monopolized by Dugu Bo, and without mastery of poison, Qi Tian had no way of entering it safely. There was no chance he could obtain those immortal herbs directly.

The only path to them was through Tang San.

But Tang San, once he gained the immortal herbs, would only share them with the Shrek Seven Devils. Even his own aunt, Tang Yuehua, never received a single plant.

Qi Tian sneered inwardly. "Fine. In seven or eight years, I'll just expose the location of the immortal herbs to the public. Let's see how Tang San gets his hands on them then."

With that thought, his mood lightened completely. Qi Tian stretched lazily, feeling refreshed and full of vigor. It was time to start a new round of cultivation.

That afternoon, on the academy's training field, Qi Tian sat cross-legged, meditating quietly.

While focusing his soul power, he also tried to resonate with the Blue Silver Grass covering the training grounds, attempting to comprehend the mysteries of the Blue Silver Domain.

His mental strength had grown tremendously—strong enough to begin exploring the rudiments of a domain.

However, his martial soul was still an ordinary Blue Silver Grass, not the Blue Silver Emperor, so the nearby plants did not instinctively recognize him.

Qi Tian could only treat himself as one of them—a single blade of grass among countless others—gradually blending his consciousness into their collective existence.

Fortunately, his enhanced spiritual power made this possible. Bit by bit, he began to sense faint waves of life pulsating from the surrounding Blue Silver Grass.

"I… succeeded?" Qi Tian released a gentle pulse of his martial soul aura, allowing it to spread through the field.

The wild Blue Silver Grass wasn't even a soul beast, yet Qi Tian's martial soul carried the power equivalent to that of a several-decade-old soul beast. His aura stood above theirs—yet rather than repel him, the surrounding grass instinctively accepted his presence.

It was their instinct—a yearning for evolution, for the chance to transcend from mere vegetation into sentient life.

"They… want to evolve?" Qi Tian thought, feeling a strange sense of connection.

Ordinary Blue Silver Grass withered each year, completing a single cycle of life and death annually.

A ten-year Blue Silver Grass Soul Beast could survive for a century per cycle.

A hundred-year one could endure for a thousand.

Even without true intelligence, these plants still possessed a primitive instinct—to seek benefit and avoid harm. And now, they eagerly absorbed Qi Tian's aura, yearning for the path to transformation.
