I wanted to argue. To point out that we were the legitimate rulers. That Daemon had seized power through violence and was holding it through fear.
But none of that mattered if nobody believed it.
"We need to change the narrative. Make people see Daemon for what he really is."
"How?" Lady Bloodmoon asked. "He controls all communication from Shadowmere. Controls what information gets out. Anyone who speaks against him disappears. We can't counter his propaganda when we can't reach anyone."
"Then we don't counter it. We circumvent it. We show people the truth instead of telling them."
"That's vague. What specifically are you proposing?"
"I don't know yet. But we can't keep fighting the same way. Can't keep trying to reclaim our kingdom through military force when we're outnumbered and outmaneuvered. We need something different. Something unexpected."
"Like stealing Daemon's curse signature and using it to infiltrate his castle?"
