Chapter 1083 - Chapter 1082: Together Forever (Grand Finale)

Intelligent life would find its own direction. They had enough courage, enough conviction to face any challenge. From now on, nightmares would still surface—but was it better to let them emerge one by one, or all at once? Thea decided the former was more sensible. Better to channel than to dam. Conflicts, conspiracies, clashing interests—resolve them as they arise. That would always be preferable to relying on transcendent power to hold everything down.

Every superhero withdrew from the Dark Multiverse. Thea devoted her full power to the Underworld Tower, ultimately synchronizing the vibrational frequencies of both multiverses.

The fusion began. The Dark Multiverse's connection to the Prime Multiverse was no longer maintained by a handful of individuals or sustained by nightmares. It was being genuinely, physically merged—becoming the dark side of the Prime Multiverse.

"Looks like this is going to take a while?" Diana sheathed her weapons and returned to the Underworld, standing at Thea's side.

"Yeah. I estimate another thousand years before the final fusion is complete. When it finishes, evil will erupt on a massive scale one more time." Thea ran the numbers in her head and arrived at a staggering figure—the initial merger alone would take a millennium.

Diana glanced at the superheroes back on Earth. "In a thousand years, most of our friends won't be around anymore..."

Thea patted her shoulder. "Respect the natural order. Let the heroes rest when the time comes. I'll always be by your side. Justice never fades—I've set aside some Nth Metal for the Legion of Super-Heroes. They'll carry on the mission in the thirty-first century. Trust the next generation."

Diana shot her a look. "You say that like you're ancient."

Thea chuckled and gave Diana a pat on the lower back. "The big battle's finally over. Come on—let's go back to Earth and enjoy ourselves for a few days."

Earth carried on as it always had.

Thea honored her promises. She resurrected Black Manta's father, then sent Reverse-Flash on his way.

The golden Barry from the Dark Multiverse chose not to return with them. He believed the dark worlds were his home—he would stay behind to maintain peace and rebuild.

The superheroes all went their separate ways. Cowls and capes came off. They slipped back into the crowd and returned to their ordinary lives—and their extraordinary adventures.

One month later. Gotham.

Wayne Manor was hosting a wedding.

Bruce Wayne—scion of Gotham's most prestigious family—had stepped back into the public eye. Today, he was marrying a commoner: Selina Kyle.

The social elite filled the halls. Superheroes attended in their civilian identities, gathering for a celebration that had been a long time coming.

Catwoman had successfully gotten her name into the Wayne family tree, officially becoming Selina Wayne. A twenty-year ambition, fulfilled at last. She beamed at the guests—or, as she probably saw them, the marks—with a smile of pure, radiant joy.

Thea figured it was seventy percent love. The other thirty percent was definitely the money.

Damian had acquired a stepmother. He couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry, so he settled for a stoic expression and did his best impression of brooding maturity.

The ceremony followed every tradition to the letter. Vows. Rings. Bouquet toss. Celebration. By evening, the last civilian guests had departed, and the manor finally belonged to the heroes.

Watching the revelry, Diana felt an unexpected pang of melancholy. The heroes had all settled down, entered middle age. Now even Bruce had found his person. It felt like the closing of an era.

Sensing her mood, Thea pulled her away from Wayne Manor.

"Where are we going?" Diana wore a long dress tonight. Tall, stunning, luminous—though somewhat languid.

"We're getting married too." The declaration startled Diana. Then she covered her mouth and laughed softly.

"My identity documents say I'm British. American same-sex marriage law doesn't apply to me."

Thea scoffed. "The law stopped applying to us a long time ago. Bruce's ceremony back there? Fake God. Tonight, we're getting the real one to officiate."

She turned to one side. "What do you think?"

In all the world, only one being still warranted her polite deference.

A Schnauzer with an air of ancient dignity trotted out from the Phantom Stranger's home.

Diana nearly yelped. A dog? And an elderly-looking one at that... But she trusted Thea not to joke about this. She kept quiet and watched.

"I suppose..." The Schnauzer gave Thea a sidelong glance and decided to grant the favor. "I'll allow it."

Thea clapped her hands in delight. "Will your true form be coming, or...?"

"My true form can't be here. Only a fragment of consciousness." The Schnauzer's expression was unreadable.

Thea frowned slightly but decided not to push it. A fragment of consciousness would do.

Seeing her nod, the Schnauzer scratched its face with an odd expression—then vanished.

One second later, the entire world trembled. Something vast and magnificent was descending.

"Who is that?" Diana whispered.

"A fragment of consciousness left behind by The Presence. He calls himself The Voice... Let's change clothes?"

Diana hesitated, but under Thea's gaze, she changed into a pure white wedding gown with almost embarrassing speed.

Thea gave her an approving nod and switched into a suit.

Never mind who had the upper hand in their private "sparring sessions." In public, it was Thea—the stronger of the two—who represented them.

An enormous, slightly blurred face appeared in the sky. It blotted out the heavens, and even so, it couldn't fully manifest in this world. For this reality, He was simply too vast.

The Voice spoke.

"Miss Thea Queen—do you take Miss Diana Prince as your wife? Will you care for her, protect her, love her, and stand by her side, never to part?"

Every word He uttered crystallized into universal law, inscribing itself into the Source Wall as He spoke.

Diana gazed at Thea, her face alight with joy and anticipation. Five minutes ago, they'd been at Bruce's reception.

Thea didn't hesitate.

"I do."

The Voice turned to Diana. "And Miss Diana Prince—do you take Miss Thea Queen as your wife? In times of wealth or poverty, in sickness or in health, will you remain by her side?"

Even as He spoke, The Voice's tone carried a strange note—because how could there be poverty? Or sickness? If the second eldest of the Endless, Death herself, ever encountered either of those, the entire multiverse would probably explode.

Catching the absurdity in the vows, Diana fought to contain her laughter. She nodded quickly.

"I do!"

The Voice's declaration resonated across the entirety of the DC Universe—every corner of the multiverse, the Sphere of the Gods, the Monitor Sphere. His words covered every plane of existence.

"I now pronounce you married—from this day until the end of all things, unchanging and unbreakable!"

THE END

It's finally over.

Honestly, I don't even know what to say right now. This was the first work I ever translated, and also the first one I've actually completed, so I'm feeling a lot of emotions at once. Looking back, I still don't know where I found the courage to pick up this work in the first place.

To tell the truth, for the first 80 chapters or so, I translated everything entirely on my phone. Thinking about it now, it honestly feels unbelievable. If I had to do that again today, I might actually go crazy and quit halfway. Luckily, I managed to get a laptop later on, and along the way, I also gained my very first readers and supporters.

I was genuinely happy that something I started with the simple idea of earning a little extra money ended up receiving support from so many of you. Some of you have even stayed with me from the very beginning until now. For that, I truly want to say: thank you.

I know my early translations were far from polished. Back then, they were mostly just "readable." The sentence structure, the phrasing, and especially the themes of racism in the early parts were things I really didn't know how to handle well. There were also mistakes with character and tribe names, like translating the Indigo tribe as Cyan. That mistake haunted me for over a hundred chapters, and I was honestly so embarrassed by it. Thankfully, I've gone back and fixed all the affected chapters now.

Since I'm not exactly a DC expert, there were definitely some rough moments along the way. But despite all those mistakes, from cut chapters, wrong uploads, repeated chapters, and all kinds of rookie errors, you still supported me and stayed patient with me.

Things are much better now. I learned a lot throughout this translation journey, and I can finally say that I'm no longer a complete rookie.

I can't say for sure where my current translation quality stands compared to others, since I haven't had much time to read other works on Webnovel lately. But at the very least, I believe I've improved a lot compared to where I started.

Most importantly, I finally achieved the goal I set for myself: finishing this entire story after seeing so many others drop it.

And now, it's finally done.

From October 24, 2025, to June 18, 2026: 237 days.

Thank you all for walking this journey with me.
