Chapter 31 - Chapter 31

Dylan walked around the Academy for almost an hour and then decided to head to the boys' dormitories. Since he didn't know the Academy very well, he asked a student for directions.

When he arrived at his room, he took a golden key from his magic ring, opened the door, went inside, and saw a spacious and comfortable room with a large bed.

"My parents really went all out," Dylan murmured with satisfaction.

He was about to go to bed to get some sleep.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

He had barely sat down when he had to get up to walk to the door. He opened it and outside were three students looking at him with contempt. Their hair was black, two had brown eyes, and the one who seemed to be the leader had gray eyes.

"What do you want?" Dylan asked politely.

"Disgusting low-level noble, we're taking this room," "So that's how things work at this Academy. Come in, then. Let me get something I left on the bed," Dylan replied, and the three students entered the room, laughing among themselves.

Dylan closed the door and made three quick magical drops the color of "perverse red" penetrate the bodies of the three students.

Dylan sat on the edge of the bed and then created barriers to prevent the sound from escaping the room.

Screams!

The three students writhed on the floor as they watched Dylan eat a sweet treat.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to," said Evon with tears in his eyes.

"What's your name?" asked Dylan when he finished eating his delicious cupcake.

"Evon... Evon Griforitch," Evon replied with effort, as the pain barely allowed him to speak.

"Evon, Evon, you know I could kill you if I wanted to. However, that would only cause me problems, so you will swear not to say anything about what happened here. Also, I want you to participate in the tournament where the five candidates are chosen. Eliminate some bastards for me. Don't lose like a fool, or I'll make you wish you had never been born.

Evon took the oath and stood up. As he was allowed to leave, he looked pityingly at the two students who had accompanied him.

The two remaining students were individuals sponsored by Evon's family, who was the son of a count who owned large tracts of farmland.

"What shall I do with you?" Dylan asked maliciously.

The two students on the ground were trembling, cold breath escaping from their mouths.

"I can destroy your ability to absorb mana. Then you'll be expelled from the Academy," said Dylan.

The two were frightened, not for their lives, because they knew that killing was forbidden within the Academy, but the rest was all a legal loophole for the powerful to enjoy the privilege of their power.

"One chance," said one of the young men.

Applause!

Dylan applauded and said sympathetically,

"I like proactive people. Break your friend's legs in several places. Decide quickly. I'm not patient with those who offend me."

In the end, screams and the crunching of bones being broken could be heard.

Dylan watched everything with obvious boredom.

"I think I need to be more creative in the future," Dylan thought to himself.

Saliva dripped from the mouth of the unconscious student whose legs had been broken.

After Dylan used magic to bring the student back to consciousness, he made them both take a mana oath and then let them go.

....

Von had stayed at the end of the hallway from where he saw the two students come out, one carrying the other by the arm.

The student leaning on the other had deformed legs that moved as if they were made of cloth.

Von felt a chill run down his spine. He approached and helped carry the injured student to the infirmary.

"We'll say he fell down the stairs," said Von.

"Sure," replied the student who had broken the other's legs.

The injured student, somewhat traumatized, remained silent.

The day of the exam arrived, and Dylan found himself in a large classroom with several other students. He read the questions and then answered them using a gold pen engraved with his initials in red letters.

"This is a pretty easy exam after slightly increasing my intelligence attribute through study and Perverse Points," thought Dylan, who had answered every question on the class assignment exam without any problems.

"It's a shame I can't avoid the first-year student tournament. Once they announce the matchups, I should go say hello to my potential opponents. It's always good to show good manners," thought Dylan, who was looking out the window at the beautiful sunny day outside.

When the exam time was up, a beautiful red-haired teacher, wearing a tight black dress that showed off her exquisite curves, waved her magic wand and the sheets of paper on which the exams were written flew up and fell neatly onto a desk.

The teacher's name was Rose Cardorian, and she was a 5-Moon magician (low level).

"Students. In two days, we will show you the results in the main hallway. Tomorrow will be the magic affinity test, so get ready. Just like today, go to your assigned classrooms and wait for the teacher in charge. Teacher Rose said in a professional tone and then left.

After his exams, Dylan left the Academy to take a stroll through the city, where the buildings were quite modern and eye-catching.

Accustomed to a good life in his previous existence, Dylan headed to an elegant restaurant, but when he tried to enter, a tall, average-looking man dressed in an elegant suit asked him about his noble status.

Nobility was classified into three levels:

High level: Duke, Archduke.

Middle level: Count, Marquis.

Low level: Baron, Viscount.

Dylan sighed. He didn't want to cause a scene, so he just apologized politely and walked away without answering what his rank of nobility was.

"What a pain, I have to help my parents achieve at least the rank of count," concluded Dylan, who entered another elegant restaurant, which was of a lower category than the previous one.

Dylan ordered an exquisite meal from the menu and glanced at the wines, but he knew that because of his age, they would not sell them to him. So he had to be satisfied with the food he had ordered.
