Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Hulk vs. Abomination

Ellen White stared intently at the colossal figure. The minute he had managed to suppress the beast had been enough for most people to flee the neighborhood.

Sure enough, the absence of a panicked crowd scrambling in fear deeply displeased the Abomination. It stomped a massive crater into the ground, kicked the two nearby cars aside, and prepared to charge toward the distant stragglers.

A whistling sound cut through the sky. A figure fell from above, landing with a crater that was comically large for his body!

'Oh shit!!'

Ellen narrowed his eyes. Seizing the moment of the Abomination's stunned confusion, he raised his right hand. The silver throwing knife in his grasp vanished instantly, and an inexplicable powerful wave erupted in front of him, pushing him back two steps.

A hundred meters away, the flying knife suddenly materialized right in front of the Abomination's face. The sound of its flight arrived a moment too late as the blade plunged straight towards the creature's eye. Muddy blood splattered out, followed by a roar of pain so violent it seemed to shake the entire neighborhood.

The Abomination slammed its fists onto the ground, sending a shower of shattered pavement and debris flying, obscuring Ellen's view.

With a gentle wave of his hand, Ellen summoned the car door back to his feet. He stepped onto it and sped toward the violently thrashing behemoth, a glint of a smile in his eyes.

It seems only superior metal is strong enough to break its defence!

As the dust settled fifty meters away, the Abomination's movements calmed slightly. It became clear that the small silver knife's hilt was firmly clamped in the creature's eyelid. With a sickening squelch of tearing flesh, the Abomination ripped the blade out, taking a chunk of its own eye with it.

The ruined eye socket was a grisly sight, but the eye within was already slowly regenerating. In just a few minutes, it would likely be fully recovered.

Seeing this, Ellen stopped. "No good. I can't stop the Abomination at all. Even the Hulk is already here. I should get out of here."

The slender boy hid to the side, his gaze fixed on the trembling giant crater. A massive green fist erupted from within, punching into the sky.

The enormous Hulk hauled himself out of the pit. His size was no less than the Abomination's. While his muscles weren't as grotesquely sharpened, they were packed with a raw, powerful beauty.

"ROAR!" A shockwave of a roar blasted the debris clear from his path, instantly drawing the Abomination's full attention.

The Abomination—whose prototype was Emil Blonsky, a creature born from the desire to defeat the Hulk—turned to face the green goliath thirty meters away.

"HULK!!" the Abomination roared, lowering its head and charging.

The two titans ran at each other, their strides cracking the pavement. Ten meters apart, they leaped into the air, two mountains of muscle colliding violently above the street.

The clash of brutal strength and raw power was a deeply stimulating sight for Ellen.

His heart pounded with excitement. 'Five years... I finally get to see this scene. It's a classic!'

In the violent crash of muscle, the Hulk was unexpectedly thrown back by the Abomination. He tumbled over a dozen meters away, staggering to his feet only for one leg to buckle, sending him stumbling and dizzy back to the ground.

The Abomination emerged from a fire, crushing a burning car underfoot. Its right eye was already almost fully repaired. "COME ON!!"

Seeing this, Ellen slapped his own forehead. "Damn it, I almost forgot! This Hulk was forced out by Dr. Banner; most of his power is still suppressed by the inhibitor serum. I have to help him!"

He was about to step forward when he saw the Hulk unleash a rapid series of punches, knocking the Abomination to the ground and pummelling it as if everything around them was as fragile as tofu.

The Abomination, beaten by the Hulk's heavy blows, spat out a few broken teeth in disdain. "Is that all you've got?"

It kicked the Hulk away, sending him flying straight toward Ellen, about to crush him.

The car door behind Ellen shot forward on its own, intercepting the Hulk's flying body. Seeing this, Ellen backed away quickly. 'I'm just a squishy boy right now!'

The Abomination caught up, and the two muscular giants began trading earth-shattering blows, coincidentally and inconveniently using the space around Ellen as their battleground.

The special metal strips he always carried with him immediately flew up, splinting the key points on his arms. As he began a rapid retreat, he saw a yellow giant fist hammering down toward him.

Ellen only had time to cross his arms in a block. Although his body was already madly recoiling backward, the unparalleled impact force still sent him flying over ten meters.

'Crack! Crack! Crack!' Several crisp sounds signaled the bones in both his arms shattering into multiple pieces. Excruciating pain shot through Ellen's brain, nearly making him black out.

The metal pieces behind him cushioned his landing, carrying him another fifty meters away. His hands hung limp and useless. With every slight jolt, the pain of bone fragments grinding together made his face turn deathly pale, covered in a cold sweat.

"Incredible... truly an unstoppable force!" he gasped.

He watched as the two behemoths tangled again, the Abomination once more pinning the Hulk to the ground, beating him wildly.

Ellen forced himself to calm down, his eyes fixed on the two colossal silhouettes. 'Hurry, think! Yes... weapons!!'

The two metal strips and some wire he carried with him immediately started immobilizing his broken arms. He looked around frantically.

But in just those few seconds, the two giants had already crossed several buildings and disappeared to who-knows-where.

Ellen soared into the sky, landing on a rooftop. In the distance, he saw a military helicopter firing its heavy machine guns frantically at the Abomination, but the rounds barely damaged the creature, only irritating it further.

The Abomination leaped up and grabbed the helicopter. The Hulk, in turn, grabbed the Abomination's calf. The three of them—the two titans and the aircraft—crashed to the ground, the rotors shattering the main body of an aircraft. cracking open.

Ellen rushed over. The Hulk, seeming weaker, was thrown aside. The Abomination stood triumphantly on the wrecked helicopter, looking down at the Hulk, while fuel poured from a ruptured tank.

The Abomination slammed the Hulk against a wall. No matter how much the Hulk struggled, it was useless. Betty Ross looked out from the broken cockpit, her eyes filled with despair.

"You don't deserve this power!" spat Emil Blonsky, now the Abomination, a man who had pursued strength all his life. He looked down on a Hulk restrained by human attachments. "Just watch her die!!" Dirty saliva flew from his mouth, his eyes full of cruelty.

The bone spurs on his elbows dug deeper, drawing blood from the Hulk's chest muscles.

An electric spark from a short circuit ignited the spilled fuel. Flames raged, instantly engulfing the entire helicopter.

Gritting his teeth against the pain in his arms, Ellen focused. His left hand manipulated the helicopter's metal shell, forcing it to peel back from Betty. His right hand guided his last flying knife, sending it stabbing toward the back of the Abomination's head.

The Abomination's head jerked forward as the silver blade sank deep into the back of his skull. Simultaneously, the Hulk, enraged to his absolute limit, grew even greener and larger, his power skyrocketing.

The Hulk's muscles swelled. His skyrocketing strength allowed him to break the Abomination's grip with one hand, grab the bone spurs on its back, and slam it through the factory wall, sending it crashing through several walls and out of sight.

The Hulk took two steps forward, his fan-sized palms clapping together with tremendous force. "HULK... PUNCH!!"

A massive shockwave of air rushed toward the helicopter. Like a hurricane-force wind, it swept the fuel away, extinguishing the flames on the the main body of an aircraft in an instant. Betty climbed out from the other side of the wreckage. "Be careful!" she cried.

The Abomination was behind him, holding a massive ship's anchor chain with a concrete block attached—a thousand-kilogram weapon that could smash a tank.

It swung the colossal weight at the Hulk's exposed back.

Ellen, his vision blurred by dust, saw the scene just in time. "No!"

Something seemed to explode in his mind. The powerfully swinging chain seemed to slow in the air, hanging over the Hulk's head.

"HULK... SMASH!" The Hulk slammed both fists into the ground. A huge fissure raced toward the Abomination, making it stumble and loosen its grip on the chain. The heavy weight fell directly into the Hulk's waiting hand.

Seeing this, Ellen, covered in dust, finally let out a relieved laugh.

Utterly exhausted, he mustered his last bit of strength to get as far away from the arriving military forces as possible. After crossing two blocks, he collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
