Chapter 3 - A Village

You're back again? Huh, looks like you can't resist my charm, I mean, I can't blame you. So now I'm standing in front of a huge gate, yeah, way too big. I'm just thinking about how? They open and close it.

It's at least forty feet tall, if you don't understand feet, it's twelve metres tall. Now, if you don't know about feet and metres, think of it as tall as a three or four-floor building. See how the author increases the word count, and you read it like it's something important. See, he even makes me repeat this thing when he already used it twice, even these jokes will make you lose interest in reading, but what can I do?

Since the author is not a funny person, how can I be? This story is just written for his own fun he just published it. See, even now, he makes you read his words by me, since most of you won't even look at the author's note.

I don't know much, but this gate, if it's a gate of some city, maybe a kingdom, but let's see. Kinter is sleeping on my left hand. I held her it's good. She can transform and stay in this form. If she changes back to that hunt form, it will be a problem now, since there are people around.

She is from a race of beasts that disappeared centuries ago, if someone sees her, it would create a problem. For now, let's enter this city, it's already night. I need to find a place to sleep, but before that.

GROWL!!!

Yes, I'm hungry....

As I started walking towards the gate, I saw a few people standing there. I can't see them clearly since it's dark already, all I can see are their silhouettes.

Now I'm standing in front of these two people, these two look normal for a guard, they're appearance is normal, no armour or anything... Aashh, they're not even guarding, man, just two people chatting, they're not even looking at me.

After walking for a while, I reached this place, which looks like a restaurant. I mean, there's a nice smell coming from here. This restaurant is made of wood, well, everything in this town is made of wood, mostly. This is like an old fantasy era world, meaning no internet in this life. Oh my fate...

As I step into that restaurant, moving the curtain suddenly, it's filled with noise, people talking and laughing, but how? I couldn't hear a single thing till I moved this curtain. Looks like it has some kind of magic cast on it. I still didn't know how this world worked and the magic, but for now, let's eat something.

I look around this place, which is filled with men and women; these people look like they're here after a long working day. Kinda reminds me of these poor MCs in drama having these moments. Why did you think I had experienced this? Nah, I didn't struggle a bit. I live my previous life peacefully.

Finnally i find an empty table i walk towards that table as i saw someone was sitting there already there's a mug in that person hand she was wearing a cloak covering her whole body and even her face in dark now how do i know she is she not he well i can see that on her head window i don't have time to read that all so let's just eat for now.

I took the seat in front of her as I raised my hand, hoping some hot elf would come to take my order, but my hope was crushed under that huge man's step as he walked towards me. He was tall and bulky. I could see he was a gym rat; his appearance was more like a tug than a waiter. He stopped just in front of the table.

"A new guest in our village. What can I get for you?"

Huh? His voice was soft and gentle, like someone else's voice over for him; it didn't even match his appearance.

"Anything is fine as long as it tastes good."

I replied that the man just nodded and walked back to the counter table and opened a door to another room, maybe it's a kitchen.

----

"Now that's what I'm talking about. Ouchh!"

I felt a pain in my index finger as a drop of blood fell on the plate. This doesn't make any sense, just for the plot to have that baddie attention. Now you would say I'm spoiling the fun, don't worry, after this chapter, the story will switch to the author's POV I'm getting sick of explaining things too, so it's better. Well, you can see for yourself her info in that window on her head.

[Name: Luna Reis Monteiro]

[Age: 22 years]

[Gender: Female]

[Race: Human]

Just... just when I thought I'd see something new, I forgot who my creator is. This dude is literally using Portugal's names? Just because that's where I used to live, and no, it's not something deep. He may have just done this to save himself from the trouble of creating new names for people in this world.

[Humans.]

Yeah, that's all for humans, you don't need a description of your own race, you already know about yourself. Now back to the scene, just as the cut on my finger healed on its own, that woman caught a glimpse of it. Now I don't know how she saw it, but she saw it. That's all.

"Here is your bill sir."

I looked up as I heard that voice; it's the man who just served me the meal. That smile on his face will disappear as soon as he knows that I didn't have any kind of currency with me. Let's see the bill for now.

I grab the bill from his hand. [699 RIN]

Huh? Rin? I'm sure he just randomly named this currency right now, but what about that six ninety-nine? Is it a sale of something? My right leg toe starts tapping on the floor, just a habit whenever I get in trouble. I looked up to him with a smile, then I spoke.

"Can I have a drink? Anything is fine, just make it sweet."

As I said these words, that man nodded and headed back. I just ordered it to stall some time, I wanna run, but this restaurant has magic placed on it for noise, so I'm sure they'll have something for people who run without paying, so it's not an option.

"You don't have a single RIN. Am I right?"

That voice... I looked around in the restaurant, my eyes scanned through the whole place, yet I couldn't see her. My heart was beating faster and faster. It can't be, is she here?... Then I saw that woman sitting in front of me.

Was it her? No, it can't be her name...

Suddenly, that woman removed her hood, revealing her face, her silver eyes looking at Jin as she moved her pink hair behind her ear, which fell on her face again. Her hair is short, just long enough to cover her neck.

A single tear fell from his eye, and he froze as if he saw something he thought he wouldn't be able to see again. That Luna got confused as she saw Jin tear. Jin realised that a tear fell from his eyes. He wiped it with the back of his right hand as he shook his head.

"Something got in my eye. Hmm, how do you know that I don't have money on me?"

Jin finally spoke with a smile, looking at Luna. Lune didn't say anything for a moment then she spoke.

"It's clear by the way you're toe is tapping on the floor nonstop, but... I can pay for you if you work for me. You're a healer, right?"

"I'll work and you're right."

Jin nodded as he replied without hearing what work she was gonna make him do, he just blindly agreed to her words.

Luna smiled at Jin's instant agreement without asking anything. She got up and placed a pouch on the table. It looked heavy.

"Let's go then Mr healer."

As Lune left the restaurant, Jin followed her, holding Kinter in his hand. She was still sleeping.

The POV changes to the author for a while. This scene might look rushed but this is how it's supposed to be. Come back for the next chapter or not, it's up to you. And one more thing, there are no daily updates, just only on weekends. I mean, the author is gonna write other books and write the backlog of the current book that is on hiatus, since he is not a full-time writer, he didn't get enough time to write all of these books at once.

[Come back for Chapter 4]
