The moon cast its silvery glow over the small town of Willowdale, casting long shadows across the quiet streets. In a cozy little cottage on the outskirts of town, a young girl named Aria stirred in her sleep. She was a petite, raven-haired beauty with piercing emerald green eyes that seemed to sparkle even in the dark.
Aria's eyes fluttered open, and she sat up in bed, her heart racing. She had dreamt of the forest again, of the wolves and the alpha male's piercing gaze. She rubbed her temples, trying to shake off the lingering fear. It was just a dream, she told herself. But the feeling of being watched lingered.
As she swung her legs over the side of the bed, her sister, Luna, stirred in the adjacent bed. "Aria, what's wrong?" Luna's voice was husky with sleep.
"Just a bad dream," Aria replied, trying to reassure her sister.
Luna sat up, her blonde hair tousled from sleep. "Want to talk about it?"
Aria hesitated, unsure if she should burden Luna with her fears. But her sister's kind eyes encouraged her to open up. "I dreamt of the forest...and the wolves. And...and him."
Luna's expression turned serious. "The alpha?"
Aria nodded, feeling a shiver run down her spine.
Luna reached out and took Aria's hand. "You're safe, Aria. We're together. Nothing can harm us here."
Aria smiled weakly, feeling a sense of gratitude towards her sister. Luna was always the calm one, the one who kept Aria grounded.
As they sat there in the moonlit room, Aria felt a strange tingling sensation in her fingers. It was as if her body was responding to some unseen call. She looked at Luna, wondering if her sister felt it too.
But before she could ask, the sensation vanished, leaving Aria feeling puzzled and a little unsettled.
"Let's get some water," Luna suggested, standing up. "Maybe it'll help you sleep better."
Aria nodded, following Luna out of the room. As they walked down the creaky stairs, Aria couldn't shake off the feeling that something was coming, something that would change their lives forever.
In the kitchen, Luna poured two glasses of water while Aria sat at the table, lost in thought. The moonlight streaming through the window cast an eerie glow on the walls, making Aria feel like she was trapped in a dream.
Suddenly, a loud howl pierced the night air, making Aria's heart skip a beat. Luna's hand trembled as she handed Aria a glass of water.
"What's that?" Aria whispered, her eyes locked on the window.
Luna's voice was barely audible. "It sounds like...wolves."
Aria's heart raced as she felt the familiar thrill of fear mixed with excitement. She knew that sound, knew it in her bones. It was a call, a summons...
And then, everything went black.
Aria collapsed forward, her head hitting the table with a loud thud. Luna screamed, and the sound of shattering glass filled the air...
