Now he finally understood why he wasn't so concerned about the merge with his other self, an event which could possibly entail losing control over his body and essentially dying.
It was because he didn't care about living.
This was the very reason he kept taking risks without a second thought. All that truly mattered to him was enslaving the Goddess and tormenting her to his satisfaction, as well as tormenting the heroines.
But what was his greatest drive for this? Was it really just the satisfaction of revenge, or was there some hidden, debauched desire fueling him? Was his real motive for enslaving them simply to fulfill dark desires he had always harbored?
Maybe it was all of it: the satisfaction derived from revenge, a carnal pleasure spree, and the thought itself of having the Goddess, in all her former arrogance, become nothing more than a plaything.
"Maybe," he conceded.
