Chapter 3 - Chapter 2 – The Weakest in the Tutorial

When Suho finally opened his eyes, the soft glow of the recovery room surrounded him again.

White ceiling. White floor. Endless silence.

He clenched his fist. The faint hum of power pulsed under his skin.

So… this was aura?

Suho raised his hand, focusing his breath the way he'd read in the old books.

A faint, shimmering red light flickered around his palm—

and vanished in less than five seconds.

"…That's it?" he muttered.

Even the lowest-ranked aura users in the stories could lift cars, split rocks, or shatter walls.

And him? He could barely light up his hand.

He looked down at his sword, its blade cracked and dull.

"Is this what being talentless really means?"

Inside the recovery room, he could never die. Infinite HP, infinite MP—perfect for testing.

But outside, none of it mattered. Outside was real. Outside, one mistake meant death.

He sighed and began repairing his weapon. While replacing its broken handle with another sword's hilt—

a faint message appeared.

> **[Skill Learned: Combine]**

> **[Grade: FFF (Experimental)]**

"Combine…?" Suho blinked. "That's new."

Curiosity sparked again.

If he couldn't win with strength, maybe he could win with creativity.

---

The next few weeks blurred into experiments.

He read more about necromancy from the old fantasy books and tried it, again and again.

He fought goblins in the dungeon, always dying, always returning.

One time, he killed the goblin. Another time, the goblin killed him.

It became a brutal cycle of pain and failure.

He wanted to resurrect one of the goblins—but he didn't have enough MP.

The bodies couldn't even be carried into the safe room.

Until one day, he got an idea that could kill him.

---

He stood at the edge of the portal again, waiting.

The moment the goblin appeared, it charged, dagger raised.

Suho didn't move.

The blade pierced his chest, blood pouring out.

He grabbed the goblin's arms, ignoring the pain, and sprinted toward the portal.

The monster screamed, stabbing him again and again.

Suho roared back and pushed harder, using every ounce of his will.

He poured the last of his aura into his hands—

the only part of him touching the goblin—

and forced both their bodies into the light.

The world flashed.

Inside the safe room, Suho collapsed, bleeding and shaking.

The goblin, confused, tried to stand.

> **[Error Detected: Intruder in Safe Room.]**

> **[Initiating Safety Protocol.]**

A blinding flash. The goblin's body disintegrated.

Another message followed, glitching violently.

> **[Achievement: ???]**

> **[Skill Ignored by Universe – Activated.]**

Then, silence.

---

After recovering, Suho tried again.

He drew a large magic circle, placed the goblin's remains in the center, and began chanting words from memory.

For three days and nights, he didn't stop.

On the dawn of the third day, the room trembled.

> **[Black Magic Skill Acquired: Basic Necromancy.]**

> **[Class Updated: Apprentice Necromancer.]**

From the circle rose a skeleton goblin, empty-eyed and trembling.

Suho smiled weakly. "It worked… finally."

He took the undead goblin with him through the portal—

only for it to be shattered instantly by another living goblin's dagger.

He sighed. "So even my undead is weak…"

But he refused to stop.

He killed another goblin. Revived it.

Killed two more. Combined them.

> **[Skill: Combine – Used.]**

Two skeleton goblins fused into one.

It looked the same, but Suho could feel it—this one was slightly stronger.

That tiny success was enough.

He trained day after day, fighting the same goblin over and over.

At first, it took him nine hours to kill one.

Then five. Then one.

And finally—he could defeat the same goblin with a single aura-infused knife.

> **[Level Up.]**

---

Months passed.

Suho had three skeleton goblins now, loyal and obedient.

Together, they cleared the cave deeper and deeper—until they reached a vast chamber.

The air burned with mana.

At the far end stood a new enemy: a goblin with a staff, eyes glowing blue.

> **[Goblin Mage – Level 5]**

Suho's heart pounded. "A mage, huh?"

The goblin raised its staff, fire swirling at its tip.

"Move!" Suho shouted. His skeleton goblins leaped forward as a blazing fireball shot toward him.

One skeleton took the hit head-on and shattered into dust.

The others lunged, slashing and biting at the mage while Suho hid in the shadows, gathering aura around his knife.

It was slow. Painfully slow. But steady.

The blade turned red-hot with power.

"Now!"

The skeleton goblins pinned the mage, screeching.

Suho emerged, his eyes sharp, and hurled the aura-coated knife with everything he had.

The blade pierced the mage's skull.

> **[You have defeated Goblin Mage.]**

> **[Level Up.]**

Suho dropped to his knees, exhausted.

He picked up the staff from the fallen monster.

Behind him, the skeleton goblins carried the corpses of the dead, marching back toward the portal.

Suho picked up the goblin mage's staff, his blood still warm, the faint hum of magic lingering in the air. Around him stood three silent skeleton goblins — his only allies, his only proof that effort could create miracles, even if small ones.

He looked at the endless white portal shimmering ahead, the doorway to the next stage. His aura flickered weakly in his hand — a tiny red flame that would fade in seconds. Still, he smiled.

"Even if it's useless… I'll make it mine," Suho whispered.

And while he stepped forward with shaking legs, somewhere in different tutorial stages across the world, players were becoming gods — chosen by constellations, blessed with talent, or armed with knowledge of the future.

But in a corner of that same world, one nameless, classless player was still fighting — without rest, without talent, and without anyone watching.

For the first time, Suho smiled—not out of joy, but relief.

He had survived.

He had grown.

Even if the world ignored him…

he would force it to notice.
