Lucas wasn't fully relaxed. His temperature was on the rise as he looked around the lush island. They kept going deeper, passing through gardens full of fruits and lots of animals that moved past them, not to mention the clean, sweet air he could perceive.
They all followed a particular pattern, walking behind Kai, who was blindly following an unknown man none of them could see.
Kai halted and looked into the distance. They all followed his gaze, and what they saw was like a little clan—bamboo huts scattered around like rejected objects. Now that he could see the houses, where were the people living in them? He couldn't spot anyone.
They continued to stand there so long that Lucas groaned. He thought they were going to eat. Now what were they waiting for?
