Like puppets under control, they began to come closer in steady, eerie steps, eyes wide as they kept coming forward. Lucas's eyes met Jordan's, who was just as confused and unsure of what was going on.
"What do we do? I can't imagine what Maya would say when she regains her senses and discovers that she ate Travis—oh mine, it would be a disaster." Jordan was cringing at the scene so hard he could barely keep his eyes open.
Embarrassment and shame made it impossible for him to look for long. At this point, he didn't think anything they did would work. "Maybe we should just carry the cubs and give them space. Travis won't probably calm down till they're all together. They could help each other with their scents, so this is probably the best option right now," Jordan interjected again.
