Jay-Jay POV
Okay, so I was having the best dream ever. Like, seriously—there was this giant swirl of ice cream, and it was drowning in chocolate syrup. I was about to eat it, like literally one second away, and then—BANG BANG BANG! Someone was knocking like they were trying to break the door down!
I woke up, heart racing, dream ruined, chocolate gone. Ugh.
Guess who it was? My horoscope brother. Aries. The walking disaster. The human megaphone. The reason I can't have nice things.
"Come on, we're gonna be late because of you!" he yelled like we were about to miss a rocket launch or something.
I rolled my eyes so hard I swear I saw my brain. It's not like the world's gonna explode if we're five minutes late, Aries. Chill.
It was already 7 a.m., and I had to move fast before Aries started breathing fire again. I threw on whatever didn't smell like a laundry basket, brushed my teeth like I was racing the clock, and bolted to the kitchen like a gremlin on a mission.
I pulled out my phone—the real one. Not the shiny, boring one everyone sees. I have two phones, and no one knows about this one except me, Kuya Jare, and Kuya Percy. Not Aries. Not Kuya Angelo. Not anyone else. Just us. Our secret.
I scrolled through my secret folder: Family Chaos. Percy doing backflips off the couch. Jare making weird faces. Mom laughing with a spoon stuck to her nose. Dad smiling like he had the whole world in his arms.
My chest tightened. That ache again. The one that sneaks up when I remember what I lost.
But I'm good at hiding it. I blinked fast, shoved the sadness down like it was a bad snack, and stuffed the phone away before anyone could see. The Fernandez family doesn't know about Jare. They think I've always been just JayJay. One kid. One story.
I went downstairs and ate Breakfast? Oh, just five hot dogs, five pancakes, and two bowls of cereal. Totally normal. I was starving—don't judge me. That dream got snatched from me by a horoscope.
We finally reached the school. I jumped out of the car like it was on fire and speed-walked straight to Section E. Honestly? Today felt weird. Like, weird weird. The air was too quiet, the hallway lights were flickering like they were trying to send Morse code.
I walked up to the classroom and, of course, Section E was being Section E—loud, wild, probably throwing paper airplanes or bricks (not literally... I hope). I reached for the door handle, ready to barge in like I owned the place, but then—I froze.
They said my name.
My name.
Me being me? I didn't open the door. Nope. I leaned in like a spy in a hoodie, ears on full alert, heart thumping like I was in a detective movie. If people are talking about me, I'm gonna hear every single word. No way I'm walking in blind.
"This is all because of you, Keifer!"
I froze. That was David. And he sounded mad mad. Like, not his usual annoyed-at-homework mad—this was full-on rage mode. I've never seen him angry like that. My stomach did a weird flip.
"All because of your plan!" he shouted, loud enough to shake the hallway.
Plan? What plan? My brain started spinning. I pressed my ear closer to the door, heart thumping like a drum solo. What were they talking about? What did Keifer do? And why was my name dragged into this mess?
I knew it. Today was gonna be bad. Weird vibes don't lie.
"We should tell her," one of them said.
"She'll never forgive us if we do," the other snapped back.
Okay, nope. I had enough. My name was flying around like confetti and I wasn't about to stand outside like some clueless side character.
So I stepped in.
And the second I walked through that door—silence. Like someone hit the mute button on reality. Everyone froze. Eyes wide. Mouths shut. Section E, the loudest crew in the building, suddenly turned into a haunted library.
"what plan Keifer" I asked
He didn't answer
"Tell me what plan Keifer" I yelled
He slowely got up from his chair
"Do you want to know what the plan was?" he asked. I nodded, knowing I would not like what he was saying.
"I used you and the Whole section e knows it." He said.
What he used me I looked around and waited for someone to say it was prank but nope no one Cin was crying.
"I used you to get revenge on your cousion Ar
