Alex's system had never even showed him these type of "yes and no" question. So, yea he was a bit surprised and also confused. But all he had to do was say the word. The statue continued to moved much closer to him.
He had no choice but to chose it.
"Yes!!! I want to beat it!!!" He shouted. The others didn't knew why was he shouting for. Well how they will they can't see other's systems other than their own ones.
Then the system showed him this screen:

[You can now level up your stats]
[You have recieved 25 points as a newcomer reward points for stats. Do you wish to auto distribute it in your stats?] [Y/N].
The statue was drawing closer as he ran futher away from it, just choose "yes" idiot Alex. "Yessss!!!" He shouted, almost like his lungs were about to crawl out of his body.
The screen flickered again,
[Congratulations!! You've chosed to beat the statue!! Good Luck]
[Your stats were distributed to each one of your abilities]
[You recieved a bluff: Willpower]
When he recieved this message, his body felt much faster and stronger. It was like he had been reborned. Well he then chose to fight off the statue but couldn't. "Why!!?" You're thinking. Well because he wasn't strong enough to beat the statue called a literal God, *sigh,.. Even if he levels up he still is our good old weak Alex but with determination.
Other Yeilders saw how Alex had become much more sharper and faster than he was a minute ago. Well still it was just another miracle for them, no worries.
Some Yeilders tried to sneak off and betray, and they did so successfully that only the raid leader Mr.Murphy and his bestoved fellow raiders remanied saying they will help Alex fight it.
Yes, it was a good offer, right!!? Well not for our Alex. He said, "Noo! I was the last one to vote for this raid inside this temple"... He continued, " Leave!! Right now!! Dont wait for me, as I have always survived and I will survive this too".
Wow, such a good man our Alex is. Im moved to tears.
Mr. Murphy tried to shout at him, "But Alex-" Alex cutting him off said, "I promise I'll be alive Mr. Murphy, I believe your daughter might've been waiting for ya"
Well how did he knew Daniel(Mr. Murphy) had a daughter!? Well he saw a picture of a small girl in his locket before they headed into the portal when Mr. Murphy was looking at that photo. Heh, guess our hero observes too.
Mr. Murphy didn't wanted to but his comrades were moving out and took him too.
OMG!! WE LITERALLY FORGOT ABOUT THE STATUE!!.
Well just a reminder, they all were actually dodging the statue while those talks. Well then lets Continue.
The system flickered in his mind as he watched Daniel long gone with a goodbye nod. Then the system screen came infront of him, like:

"What th F*ck!! Magical Stone Knights!! Where did those even came from!!!?" Well yes it was not just the statue now but also the whole stoned warriors. It couldn't get any worse, right Author!?
The author said he was thinking of mages too but it would've been disasterous for him to think. Well that could've gone bad for me too, I was just gonna have more 5000 words to write, hehe. *sigh..
Well coming back to the story, our Alex was now surrounded but he wasnt giving up that early. He clinged to his sword, made his fighting stance, and was ready to take on them.
But what he didn't knew was their speed, these stones, were they even stones, huh!?. *Sigh...the statues were really, like "really" really fast. Our Alex was unfortunate, he got his body cut off in half, OMG!! OMG!!.
Alex crawled towards his sword and clinged to it again to fight off as if he could, he was now neither able to walk nor he was able to dodge attacks. "I guess its my end here"...he thought.
Well, dont worry my Alex it wasn't that hard. If you die thats still okay. We can find a replacement.
But when Alex saw those flashbacks of his family, his sister, his mother, his father. Though it was never real, except the part of his sister. He then realised that he didn't wanted to die, well not yet.
He swirled back up, and was doing his stance, half-body, clothes ripped, his blood flowing here and there. But he wasn't afraid to face it, even if it meant to die trying instead of dying without even trying.
" I dont care if you are trying to kill me, cause im going back alive to home as I promised"...he continued, "And if I don't make it out alive, atleast I won't die without trying". The system chimed in with a notification.
[Your bluff " WillPower" is in effect]
[Your stats have been increased by 50%]
"Well, no use of it now, heh" He smirked. Well just as he was slained by that big sword of a stone knight, he was thrown to another place, an empty space void, and also a notification.
[Do you agree to be reborn as the Player]
[Y/N]
[Caution:Choosing "No" will result in certain death]
In his mind, "If im dead, its alright, but if its giving me another chance, why not give it a shot!?"..then he said, " Yes, I agree"
After that the world dimed into a black void, even I dont know what it is.
The hospital and the room where Alex was. The heartbeat minitor flickering slowly, its about time for a sunset, the sky yellowish-orange. Then, Alex slowly opened his eyes, only to find out that he was alive. Why though!? "Wasn't I slained by that big sword of that stone knight!?" He thought.
And most importantly, his body, it was back at one piece, like it wasn't even cut off at half. How was this possible? Then he saw the system message that was infront of him. It said.
[New messages recieved]
[Do you want to open it?] [Y/N].
Well he has never seen his system giving him notification like that. He then remembered that during his fight against that statue it was the same like this. He said yes.
It opened like always but there were some differences. The places where it was given as a lock symbol, were now removed. Literally, he had recieved stats points for surviving as the system said. So, he tried out to distribute, and it was now happening. He then even saw his level, it was once 5 but now it was level 8.
As far as he remembered, he knew one thing Yeilders weren't able to level up even with the system that they obtained from their awakening. But now Alex was different. Much, much different.
He was happy that he was alive, most importantly cause he had a sister to take care of.
What he didn't knew was that his life was gonna change for good.
