Chapter 31 - Chapter 31 Telling everyone and wedding dresses

Third Person POV

The planning didn't stop with the date.

The very next afternoon, they found themselves spread across the living room—fabric samples on the table, phones open to boutiques, notebooks filled with scribbles and half-formed ideas.

"We should start with outfits," Jay's mother said decisively. "Everything else comes later."

Aries groaned. "This is how it begins."

Tita Gema ignored him. "Jay, what kind of dress are you imagining?"

Jay hesitated. "Something simple. Nothing too heavy."

Keifer glanced at her. "You'll look beautiful in anything."

Eces sat cross-legged near the edge of the sofa, quietly flipping through a bridal catalogue someone had handed her. She didn't interrupt, didn't push opinions—until Jay noticed her watching thoughtfully.

"What do you think?" Jay asked.

Eces looked up, surprised. "Me?"

"Yes," Jay said. "You're part of this."

Eces smiled faintly before looking back down at the pages. "Something elegant. Light. Something that lets you move without feeling trapped."

Jay's eyes softened. "That's exactly what I want."

Keifer watched the exchange closely.

Eces wasn't overstepping. She spoke only when invited. Yet every suggestion landed perfectly, as if she already understood Jay's taste without needing explanation.

"So shopping tomorrow?" Aries asked.

"Tomorrow," Jay's mom confirmed. "All of us."

Keigan leaned back in his chair. "I'm coming for moral support."

Keiren raised a hand. "I'm coming for snacks."

Laughter filled the room.

Eces closed the catalogue and glanced at Jay. "If you want, I can help you choose. Not just the dress—everything."

Jay reached for her hand without thinking. "I'd like that."

From across the room, Keifer caught the moment—the quiet closeness, the ease between them.

Eces fit in too smoothly.

Still, he said nothing.

The plans moved forward—lists forming, stores decided, excitement building.

And just like that, the wedding stopped being an idea.

It became something they were about to step into together.

The next morning arrived with noise, laughter, and the kind of chaos that only meant one thing—wedding shopping day.

The house emptied into two cars.

Jay rode with her mother, Tita Gema, and Aries, the backseat already cluttered with garment bags and coffee cups. Keifer took the other car with Keigan, Keiren, and Eces.

Eces sat by the window, quiet, watching the streets pass by. She looked calm, almost detached, but her fingers rested lightly on her lap, still as if she were holding something unseen.

Keigan glanced at her through the rearview mirror. "You okay?"

She nodded. "Just not used to crowds."

Keiren smiled. "Don't worry. Wedding shopping is survival training."

She returned a small smile.

The bridal boutique smelled like fresh fabric and flowers.

Jay stepped inside and froze.

Rows of dresses. Soft lights. Mirrors everywhere.

"This is unreal," she whispered.

Jay's mother clapped her hands. "Alright. Let's start."

Stylists fluttered around Jay, pulling gowns from racks. One after another, Jay disappeared behind curtains, emerging in lace, satin, silk—each time met with gasps, opinions, and photos.

Keifer stood near the mirrors, arms folded, watching quietly.

Eces stayed close to the edge, eyes sharp, taking everything in.

When Jay came out in a flowing ivory dress—simple, light, nothing heavy—Eces looked up slowly. ( I will upload the pics of dresses in comments)

"That one," she said.

Everyone turned.

"It suits you," Eces added softly. "You look like yourself in it."

Jay looked at her reflection again.

Then she smiled.

"I think she's right."

Keifer exhaled without realizing he'd been holding his breath.

Next came accessories.

Veils, shoes, jewelry laid out like treasure.

Eces helped without taking over—holding fabric, adjusting a clasp, stepping back when Jay needed space. She noticed things others didn't: a seam that restricted movement, a neckline that didn't quite feel right.

Jay's mother watched her with quiet approval.

"She's good," she murmured to Tita Gema.

"Yes," Tita agreed. "And careful. That matters."

Later, at the men's store, Keifer tried on suits while Keigan and Aries offered entirely unhelpful commentary. ( Dress pic in comments)

"You look like a CEO," Aries said.

Keigan shook his head. "No, a movie villain who falls in love."

Keifer rolled his eyes.

Eces stood a little apart, watching him study his reflection.

"It fits," she said simply. "But the shoulders could be adjusted. You carry tension there."

Keifer turned to her, surprised.

"Do I?"

She met his gaze calmly. "A little."

Their eyes held for a moment.

Then she looked away, as if nothing had happened.

Keifer frowned slightly.

By evening, bags filled the cars.

Everyone was tired, feet aching, voices hoarse—but there was laughter, excitement, a shared sense of moving forward.

At dinner, Jay leaned toward Eces. "Thank you. For today."

Eces smiled, gentle and genuine. "I'm glad I could help."

Keifer watched from across the table.

She hadn't slipped once.

No mistakes.

No overreactions.

No cracks.

And somehow, that unsettled him more than if she had.

As the night settled in, plans continued—flowers, catering, music.

The wedding was taking shape.

And Eces was woven quietly into every part of it.

Whether anyone noticed or not.

Keifer POV

The next morning felt… different.

Not dramatic. Not heavy.

Just real.

Jay walked beside me through the school gates, fingers brushing mine like it was the most natural thing in the world. I kept my face neutral, but inside? I was stupidly aware of every step, every glance.

The moment we entered the classroom, Section E clocked us.

Immediately.

Rory squinted. "Why do you both look suspiciously happy?"

Felix leaned forward. "Yeah. That's not a normal-morning happy."

Blaster gasped. "Wait. WAIT. Did something happen?"

Jay glanced at me, silently asking you or me?

I sighed. "Fine. We're telling you anyway."

The room went quiet.

I rested against the desk, arms crossed. "We've decided the wedding date."

That was all it took.

Chaos.

"What?!"

"WHEN?!"

"WHO PROPOSED AGAIN?!"

"IS THERE FOOD?!"

Jay raised her voice. "July 1st."

Silence.

Then—

SCREAMING.

Rory nearly fell off his chair. "JULY FIRST?! THAT'S SO CLOSE!"

Edrix clutched his chest. "I'M NOT EMOTIONALLY READY."

Ci-n grinned. "I knew it. I called it."

Felix pointed at me. "You're married in your head already."

"I am not," I said.

Jay snorted.

Blaster smirked. "He totally is."

Kit leaned toward Jay. "So… are we invited or are we crashing?"

"You're invited," Jay said, laughing.

Mayo clapped dramatically. "OUR PARENTS NOW."

Eman nodded seriously. "Respectfully."

Eren tilted his head. "So does this mean Keifer's finally settled?"

Drew smirked. "Jay, blink twice if he's still annoying."

Jay smiled sweetly. "Blinking won't save me."

The teasing got worse from there.

"Sir, future husband," Josh said, mock-bowing.

"Sir, future wife," David added, bowing to Jay.

Denzel leaned back. "So… who's crying first at the wedding?"

Jay pointed at me instantly.

"HEY—"

Yuri, who had just walked in, paused. "Why is everyone loud?"

"Keifer's getting married," Calix said flatly.

Yuri stared at me for three seconds. Then nodded. "Makes sense."

Jay laughed, holding her stomach.

I looked at her—really looked—and suddenly the noise faded.

This was it.

Our people.

Our section.

Our future.

I reached for her hand under the desk, squeezing once.

She squeezed back.

And yeah—

Let them tease.

I already had everything I wanted. 💍

Third Person POV

Lunch break was never quiet in their school.

But that day, it turned into absolute mayhem.

Section E had already taken over half the cafeteria—tables dragged together, bags scattered everywhere, food completely ignored because something big was clearly about to happen.

Jay sat beside Keifer when familiar voices cut through the noise.

Aries appeared first, tray in hand, completely relaxed. He wasn't surprised—he already knew. He just watched with a knowing smirk, like someone waiting for the explosion.

Behind him came Rakki, looping her arm casually around Ci-n's chair, followed by Mica beside Calix, Ella slipping into the seat next to Aries, and Freya joining Edrix with a grin.

Rakki looked around. "Why does this table feel suspicious?"

Ci-n muttered, "Because it always is."

Jay laughed nervously. "Okay—before anyone starts accusing us of crimes—I have something to tell you."

Ella leaned forward instantly. "I knew it."

Jay took a breath. "I'm getting married."

Silence.

Exactly one second.

Then—

"WHAT?!" Rakki shrieked, grabbing Ci-n's arm.

Mica froze mid-bite. "Married… married?"

Freya gasped. "I MISSED EVERYTHING?!"

Calix stared at Keifer. "You're brave."

Edrix blinked. "July wedding vibes?"

Keifer cleared his throat. "July 1st."

That was it.

Chaos detonated.

Rakki clutched Jay dramatically. "JULY FIRST IS TOO SOON."

Mica was already planning. "Okay, outfits. Colors. Shoes."

Freya bounced in her seat. "I'm emotionally invested now."

Ella turned to Aries. "You knew."

Aries shrugged calmly. "Of course I did. I'm her brother."

Jay smiled at him. "And he didn't tell anyone."

Felix clapped loudly. "SECTION E AT A WEDDING."

Blaster whispered, "We're gonna get kicked out."

"Worth it," Kit replied.

Ci-n smirked. "Keifer looks like he's already married."

Jay nudged him. "You are not helping."

Keifer leaned closer. "You're enjoying this."

She didn't deny it.

Laughter echoed across the table, drawing stares from the rest of the cafeteria. Food stayed untouched, conversations overlapped, and plans were made by people who had absolutely no authority to make them.

Aries watched it all quietly—his sister glowing, surrounded by friends who felt like family.

And in the middle of the noise, Jay realized something.

This wasn't just her wedding anymore.

It belonged to all of them.
