On a distant rooftop, thirteen figures stood—the Phantom Bandit Gang.
"Oh, oh! So many people! Leader! Why send a notice when we could've just acted?"
A member with an afro peered at the heavily guarded mayor's mansion.
"Fool! It's part of the Leader's plan, right, Leader?"
A blonde-haired member looked up to Camille, their leader. Camille, draped in a black cloak and silver mask, was the famed 'King of Assassins.'
"This world needs a terror to announce our return. This mayor is the perfect target. I want everyone to realize that even under the Magic Council's protection, no one can escape us."
"Anyone who dares challenge us, once marked, faces one fate: death!"
"Tonight, our Phantom Bandit Gang will become the world's nightmare!"
"Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!"
Boom—!
An explosion shook the courtyard.
"Enemy attack—!"
The Ancient Knight Order sprang into action.
The mayor paled.
Elfman tensed: "They're here?!"
Kevin nodded: "Seems so."
The mayor panicked: "Mr. Kevin, what should I do?"
"Stay put. Don't cause trouble. The Ancient Knight Order set up a magical barrier. Stay inside, and you'll be safe."
Kevin watched the Ancient Knight Order engage the enemy.
Despite their reputation, the Ancient Knight Order was formidable, comparable to average mages, with superior equipment enhancing their strength. Yet, they were overpowered and soon lay defeated.
The mayor grew frantic: "Mr. Kevin..."
"Elfman, protect the mayor."
"Kevin, you..."
"I'll handle them."
The thirteen Phantom Bandit members gathered at the door.
"Haha! These Magic Council guys are weak! Not satisfying at all!"
"They join because they're weak! What ambitious Mage wants to join them?"
"Just finish the mayor, and we're done. Let's wrap it up!"
Several advanced.

An invisible barrier stopped them.
"Heh! A magical barrier? Watch me break it!"
One tried to dismantle the barrier.

Kevin stepped out, walking past the barrier.
"Oh! Someone's come to die."
Camille noticed the Fairy Tail emblem on Kevin's hand: "The mayor hired a Mage guild?"
"Fairy Tail? That active guild?"
"Yes, that one!"
"Heh! Kid, taking on our Phantom Bandit Gang, you've got guts!"
"Phantom Bandit Gang? Sorry, never heard of you."
Kevin was familiar with the Phantom Troupe from *Hunter x Hunter*, but not this group.
Camille offered, "Kid, abandon the mission, and I'll let you go."
The blonde member was surprised: "Huh?! You're lucky! The Leader rarely shows mercy."
Kevin refused: "I've accepted the commission. You've targeted my client, making you enemies of Fairy Tail."
"Kid, since you've chosen this path, nothing more to say. Make your move!"
Camille's offer was whimsical, like ignoring an ant.
"Resurrection! Ulquiorra Cifer!"
Kevin's form transformed—his black clothes became a white, high-collared coat, a kimono-style skirt-pants, secured with a black sash. A Zanpakuto rested at his side, his skin paled, eyes turned green with tear-like marks, and a horned helmet adorned his head.
"Heh!! Die!!"
The blonde member threw a stone at Kevin, who caught it.
Boom—!
The stone exploded, engulfing Kevin in flames.
"Hehahaha! What an idiot! Catching thrown objects! Hehahaha~!"
The blonde member laughed heartily.
"Kevin!!"
Elfman, watching from above, panicked as smoke engulfed Kevin.

A powerful spiritual pressure dispersed the smoke.
Kevin stood unharmed.
"What?!"
The bandits were stunned. Kevin had caught an explosive and emerged unscathed.
"You… you bastard, you're not dead?!"
Arrancars' bodies, covered in unpierceable skin, could withstand ordinary attacks. Ulquiorra's Hierro could endure Ichigo Kurosaki's Getsuga Tensho with minor injuries. Such explosions couldn't harm Kevin.
"Damn it! I don't believe you can't be blown to death!"
The blonde member hurled more stones.

Kevin vanished.
The next moment.

A long blade pierced through the blonde member's back.

The member stared at the blade in disbelief.
"Sorry, I'm in a hurry."
Kevin said calmly. His magic power was limited; even Ulquiorra's basic state lasted ten minutes. He needed to finish quickly.
