I sat in Cole's office, surrounded by evidence of his crimes, waiting for the Blackwood security team to arrive.
The computer screen still glowed, showing Cole's journal. I'd stopped reading after the entry about wedding night—after seeing myself described as "pathetic" and "temporary" in his own words.
But I couldn't stop myself from scrolling.
Montgomery confirmed: the mole inside Blackwood pack has access to the Luna's medical records. She's healing faster than expected from the concubine attack. Impressive, actually. Most wolves would have stayed down after taking that kind of damage.
She fought back. Attacked four of them while injured and outnumbered. Vicious. Uncontrolled. Exactly the fire I remember from before the Blackwood bastards broke her spirit.
My phone buzzed. Marissa.
Marissa: Are they there yet?
Me: Not yet. Soon.
Marissa: I'm coming over.
Me: No. Blackwood security will be here. It's not safe for you.
