Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

This… this was the first time anything like this ever happened to me.

I've faced death, blood, betrayal—everything you could throw at a man.

But reincarnation? That one still felt impossible.

At first, I was shocked. My thoughts were scattered, my breathing heavy. But slowly, I calmed down.

If reincarnation was real, then maybe another world was, too.

I looked around. People walked past me like everything was fine—cars honking, kids laughing, someone arguing over the phone. Normal life.

Too normal.

But my instincts whispered otherwise.

Someone was watching me.

That tight pull in my chest—that's not something you forget when you've lived your life in shadows. Assassin's instinct.

I needed to find somewhere quiet. Somewhere I could think.

My head throbbed like hell.

Memories flickered through my mind—blood, gunfire, someone's voice calling my name before everything went dark. My memories were fuzzy, broken pieces of something I needed to put back together.

"I need to figure out where I am," I muttered under my breath. "And when."

If this was the Marvel world like I suspected… then timing mattered. I really hoped this wasn't the era of Thanos. That would be a nightmare.

I pushed myself and limped forward. Every movement hurt, but I ignored it.

As I turned the corner, I noticed someone in a black hoodie down the street. They weren't moving—just standing, watching.then group of people past infront of me, and when I looked again, they were gone.

Yeah. Someone was definitely following me.

I didn't stop. Instead, I slipped into the nearest convenience store. The bell jingled above my head as I walked in. The clerk behind the counter looked up from his magazine, eyes narrowing like I'd just crawled out of a dumpster.

"Hey," I said. My voice was low, rough. "What year is this?"

The guy gave me a weird look. "Uh… 2009."

"2009," I repeated quietly. Relief hit me like a wave.

Good. The world was still stable—heroes existed, sure, but Thanos hadn't made his move yet.

"Thanks," I said, nodding.

He kept staring at me like I was crazy, but I didn't care. I turned my gaze upward—toward a TV hanging over the counter.

It was showing the news.

A man in a suit stood in front of a crowd of reporters, flashing that familiar grin. The name tag under him read:

TONY STARK – IRON MAN....

My mouth fell open slightly. "Tony Stark…?"

I rubbed my forehead, feeling half amused, half overwhelmed.

"So I'm really in Marvel," I whispered. "I actually reincarnated into Marvel."

I couldn't help but grin. It felt insane, but also… exciting.

All those things I read, those movies I watched—they were real.

Then reality hit me again.

In my old world, I was feared. The best assassin alive, it took me years to get there. But even I had limits—human limits.

Here? There were mutants, gods, sorcerers… people who could erase entire planets.

"How do I compete with that?" I whispered. Then I smiled again. With the hot mess I am right now I'm not supposed to be smiling, but I cant help but find this Interesting

"I don't know how. But I'd get stronger. Stronger than I have ever been. Strongest in this world—no, in the multiverse."

That's when it happened.

A faint purpl light flickered in front of me, right in the middle of the air.

Lines of glowing text appeared, floating inches from my face.

> [Welcome to the Hit Template System]

My heart skipped.

A system?

I blinked once, twice, then smirked. "Alright. Guess this world really wants to surprise me."

More text appeared:

> [Template Type: Hit – Universe 6 Assassin]

[Synchronization Progress: 0%]

"Hit… from Dragon Ball," I muttered. "Of all templates to get, this one's not bad."

I tried speaking to the system, asking how it worked—but it didn't respond.

Figures. Probably not sentient, just pre-programmed text.

Then another line appeared:

> [Mission Section Unlocked]

"Missions now?" I thought. "Okay, let's see what you've got."

I focused, and the interface responded instantly. No hand gestures—just thought.

Good. At least people wouldn't think I'd lost my mind talking to the air.

A new message opened up.

> [First Mission: Evade or Terminate Your Pursuers.]

My eyebrows furrowed. "Pursuers? What—"

BANG!

The sound split the air.

Glass shattered as a bullet ripped through the convenience store window, whizzing past my ear.

Instinct took over. I dove behind a shelf as chips and snacks exploded everywhere. The cashier screamed, ducking under the counter.

I hit the ground hard, my body aching all over—but a grin tugged at my lips.

"So the Rat decides to show it's ugly face "

I clenched my fists, feeling a strange spark of excitement.

"Fine then," I whispered. "Let's see what this new world's got."
