Gavin's POV
The curse escaped my lips before I could stop it. My hand shot out instinctively, yanking the blanket over both our naked bodies. My pulse hammered against my ribs while my breathing came in ragged bursts. I was still buried deep inside Julia, my body refusing to retreat even though my mind screamed warnings about the disaster unfolding before us.
Julia's face had drained of all color, her eyes blown wide with terror. She shook beneath me like a leaf caught in a storm, staring at the doorway as if death itself had appeared.
Mom clutched her chest in the doorway, looking ready to faint. Her breathing came in sharp gasps while Dad's steady hand gripped her elbow, his own expression a dangerous mixture of rage and disbelief.
"We'll wait in the living room," Dad announced, each word clipped and controlled despite the fire burning in his eyes. "Both of you need to come downstairs and explain what the hell this is."
