Gavin's POV
The moment I stepped out of the car, her scent hit me like a physical force. Julia. The familiar fragrance wrapped around me, faint yet powerful enough to make my chest constrict with desperate longing. My wolf stirred restlessly inside me, every instinct screaming that she was near.
I scanned the busy street, searching left and right through the crowd flowing past the restaurant entrance. Nothing. But my body knew better than my eyes. She was here somewhere, close enough that every nerve ending felt electrified. My mate. My Julia.
"Gavin, come on." Belle's fingers interlaced with mine without invitation, her grip possessive as she pulled me toward the restaurant doors. "We shouldn't keep him waiting."
