Julia's POV
Morning light filtered through the curtains as consciousness slowly returned to me. Every muscle in my body ached in the most delicious way possible, particularly between my thighs, serving as a vivid reminder of what had transpired the night before. My skin still tingled from Gavin's touch, from the way he had claimed every inch of me with such passionate intensity. The soreness was a badge of honor I wore gladly.
But the bed beside me was empty and cold.
I pushed myself up slowly, my body protesting with each movement, and padded toward the bathroom. The hot water cascaded over my tender skin as I tried to wash away the evidence of our passion, though nothing could erase the memory of how completely he had possessed me.
