Andre's POV
Twenty minutes had crawled by since I'd ordered the complete lockdown of the amusement park. Every second felt like an eternity, each tick of the clock driving me closer to madness. My boots had worn a path in the grass as I stalked back and forth across the open space near the skating rink, my hands clenched into fists at my sides.
Meryl stood a few feet away, her face pale as winter frost. She kept twisting her fingers together, her eyes darting to every shadow and corner as if Gavin might materialize from thin air. The terror in her gaze mirrored the hurricane raging inside my chest.
My wolf was clawing at my insides, demanding blood, demanding action. The beast wanted to tear apart everything in sight until our pup was back in our arms. I was barely keeping the animal leashed, my jaw aching from how hard I was grinding my teeth.
