Chapter 11 - 11

Justin's POV

I tried to be good, but I clearly wasn't.

Our last conversation had been torturing enough, and now I see her in my dreams too?

She was making the bed and smiling as she sighted me. "Remember our first night together? It was magnificent!" She said, then wiggled her index finger for me to come closer.

As I get closer, a loud wreck fell and stood in between us. A wreck, like a wall, falling inside the room?! Wasn't that a sad depiction of our current relationship? She had sent a reminder email of when we would be going to the court to finalize our divorce.

I didn't like losing...but worse, I didn't like living alone. Now, my mom and Bella never visit. It was always just the maids and I, in the big apartment. Everything reminds me that she's no longer with me. I didn't think it would hurt this much!

I heaved in, arranging the clusters of papers that rested on my table. My secretary came in, "Um sir, you have a call from Mr Anderson."

I rolled my eyes. He had my number, but whenever he called my official line, I knew it was official matters. Then, he treated me like a boss treated his staff member.

"Thanks, transfer the call." I said to her and she nodded, leaving quietly. Soon, my desk phone rang and I picked it up. "Good day sir," I said like usual.

 "Good day, Mr Anderson."

I rolled my eyes at that. Mr Anderson? I was his fucking son!--

"Congratulations, you've been shortlisted as the part of people who would take the training sponsored by the Fernandez group." He said, almost like in a robotic tone even.

 "Thank you sir."

"So you leave by noon today?"

 "Yes." I quickly added. "Sir."

"Good." He said, "and lastly, what is your plan about changing your relationship status to married?"

Was I in some sort of fucking war zone?

 "Still pending--"

"--I am interested in your plan to change your status. Otherwise I will be forced to take actions."

"No, there will be no need." I said instantly.

 "You understand why you must--"

"--I do sir." If I didn't get married soon, I wouldn't be considered the rightful heir to the family business. I had cousins who were far better doing than I was, but I was the appointed heir to the family business. And you had to be a responsible "married man" to fully own that position.

This was why I was about having a word with Sam to have kids. This was why...

A memory struck my head. It was a vision of Sam and I sharing a passionate night together. But was it really a vision? More like a memory...one I wasn't supposed to forget!

 "Are you still there?"

I blinked, patting myself on the laps softly. I needed to be calm. "Yes sir, I am. You have nothing to worry about."

"I'll send a list to choose from. Although, I think I have a match already. Kim Sun Wook."

 "That Korean actress?" I frowned.

"What? She's a great match for you."

I bit my lips in anger. Why did he have to create a match for me like I was an imbecile unable to chose a wife for myself!

"Okay sir. I thought you would still approve of--"

"--you already know the answer to that. She's a goner. It's a miracle we haven't punished her for leaving you in the first place. That is not nice."

My chest hurt so bad, but I managed to say,"I understand sir."

A low grunt was heard before he then hung up. Out of annoyance, I didn't realize when I carried all the files I'd been carefully arranging, and threw them to the air.

My PA hurried in to take a look at me. And I realized I'd been shouting out loud. "Are you okay sir?" She asked, watching me carefully.

I could only manage to wave to send her off. I knew my father might talk to my mom, and actually arrange a little punishment for Sam!

I shook my head, "no. I won't let that happen. I'll protect you with everything I've got. But first, I need you to fucking be mine again!"
