Inside Sasuke Uchiha's home…
The Uchiha clan's estate was massive, but it was eerily empty. The Twelve Young Heroes of Konoha knew about the tragedy that had befallen the Uchiha clan, so they steered clear of anything that might rub salt in Sasuke's wounds.
Sasuke lived alone in the vast compound.
"Hey! I'm telling you guys, I totally nailed that jerk right in the jewels!" Kiba Inuzuka bragged.
"Hahaha! Kiba, you're straight-up savage!" Choji Akimichi laughed.
"Tch! Shino, don't act like you're some saint!" Kiba shot back. "Weren't you the one going for cheap shots? You practically blew out those guys' backsides, and you've got the nerve to call me out?!"
"Shut up! That was my Lineage Ender Kick! It's a technique!" Shino retorted.
"Technique, my ass! Sounds like you're the savage one!"
"You're the savage!"
"No, you're the savage!"
"Guys, chill out," Shikamaru Nara cut in. "I think Sasuke and Sakura were the real ruthless ones. Didn't one of those guys lose his front teeth?"
"Yeah, but who'd have thought Hinata, all shy and quiet, would go full gangster mode back there?" Ino Yamanaka added.
"No kidding! Sakura's got some serious strength—one punch, and that guy's teeth were history!" Choji chimed in.
"Oh, for sure. But Hirofumi's line about 'My father, Aoyama Ito' was the real power move. I even tried it out myself!" Shikamaru grinned.
"Totally! 'My father, Shikaku Nara!'" Shikamaru mimicked, sparking laughter.
"Hahaha!"
The group's chatter filled Sasuke's home with a lively buzz. For a moment, Sasuke felt a pang of nostalgia. How long had it been since his home felt this alive? It… wasn't a bad feeling.
"Hey, kid!" a voice called out.
Hirofumi's senses sharpened. That was Uchiha Madara calling him from the summoning space. Taking a piece of grilled meat from Ino, he focused his chakra and slipped into the summoning space.
Sakura, seeing Ino grill meat for Hirofumi, decided to follow suit and grilled some for Sasuke. But Sasuke didn't even notice—he was too busy bickering with Naruto over a piece of burnt meat.
"Sasuke, you jerk!"
"Naruto, you moron!"
The two went back and forth, making the room even livelier.
Hinata wanted to grill some meat for Naruto but couldn't muster the courage. Her bold, mafia-boss energy from earlier was long gone. Thinking back to how she'd stood up for Naruto and said those words, her face flushed hot with embarrassment. She nibbled on her meat, sneaking glances at Naruto.
Inside the summoning space, Madara's face was grim.
Hirofumi had already told him the Uchiha clan had been wiped out, so Madara had braced himself. Still, sensing the emptiness of the Uchiha estate hit him hard. Sure, they'd betrayed him back then, but they were still his clan. To think the once-glorious Uchiha had fallen so low…
Madara wasn't naive. He understood the politics—one ruler, one regime. Things changed. He'd also noticed something else: there was no trace of the Senju clan in Konoha either. The two clans that founded the village—Uchiha and Senju—were both gone.
The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi… what a move.
Madara couldn't help but wonder how Tobirama Senju would react to this. That guy, always calling the Uchiha "evil" left and right—what would his face look like if he saw the Senju clan had vanished too?
"Yo, Madara! Why the sour face? In a bad mood?" Hirofumi teased.
"Tch. They may have betrayed me, but they still carried the Uchiha name," Madara grumbled.
Hirofumi nodded, understanding. When Madara left Konoha, not a single Uchiha followed him.
Looking at Madara seriously, Hirofumi said, "The past can't be undone, but the future can be changed. Some people exhaust themselves and barely make a ripple, while others shift the world with a single thought. Who can say what the future holds? Maybe one day, they'll all return to the world…"
Madara's pupils narrowed. He knew what Hirofumi meant. This strange ability of his could summon the dead, even bring them back in a near-perfect state. With Hirofumi's summoning j всю, Madara could appear in the real world instantly. Hirofumi was hinting that those who'd died could return someday.
"You've got some big talk, kid. Got any sake?" Madara asked.
"Of course!" Hirofumi grinned.
And so, while Hirofumi munched on barbecue outside, he and Madara started knocking back drinks in the summoning space.
"Your summoning jutsu's gotta come with a price, right?" Madara asked after a sip.
Hirofumi nodded. "Yeah, an ability this crazy's gotta have a cost."
Madara wasn't surprised. A power that could bring back the dead? Of course it'd come with a catch.
But Hirofumi smirked. "The thing is… the cost isn't a big deal for me."
Madara paused, caught off guard. "Care to share what that cost is? I'm kinda missing my old friend…"
Hirofumi's eyes lit up. Old friend? Yeah, right—you mean your best buddy, Hashirama Senju! But this was good news. If Madara had a goal, Hirofumi could work with that.
"You miss your old pal, huh? Well, if you've got a request, I can make it happen. But you'd need to help me out—say, bring in a few billion ryō. Do that, and I'll summon all your old friends!"
