"What happened?"
Kakutani Hiroki and Ohta Masaru came running back from outside. It was clear they had come in a hurry, without even changing their shoes.
Ikeda Chikako and Takahashi Ryoichi came down at the same time.
Heiji walked over to the kitchen window, opened it, and looked out.
The kitchen was at the back of the villa, and the window faced a dense forest. However, to prevent the branches from scraping against the walls, there was a strip about a meter and a half wide between the villa and the forest, which was a dirt path.
"Sonoko-neechan, are you sure the bandaged man passed by here?" Conan asked suddenly.
"Yes, look, his footprints are still there."
Indeed, on the dirt path, there was a line of footprints that extended to the grass and then disappeared.
"What bandaged man?" Kakutani Hiroki asked, frowning.
"A moment ago, Sonoko and Ayako saw a strange man with his face covered in bandages run past the window," Ran explained.
"A bandaged man? It must be someone from around here, no need to get alarmed," Ikeda Chikako said indifferently.
"That's not it. Within a radius of tens of kilometers, our house is the only one. Besides, this place is very remote, people rarely come here," Ayako said, still somewhat frightened.
Heiji lowered his head to think for a moment. It seemed the plot of "The Case of the Bandaged Man's Murder" had already changed this time.
"It's probably just someone from nearby. Let's not scare ourselves," Takahashi Ryoichi said with a good-natured smile.
Conan looked at the footprints and gradually calmed down, "Maybe it really is someone from around here."
"You two came in through the back door, right?" Heiji asked suddenly.
"Yes, why?" Kakutani Hiroki nodded.
Heiji shook his head and walked out, taking Kazuha by the hand.
Ran helped Sonoko to the living room and sat her down on the sofa.
"Ran, I feel so cold," Sonoko's voice sounded somewhat weak.
Ran touched Sonoko's forehead, "Oh, Sonoko, you have a fever!"
Suddenly, everyone became alarmed. They were in the middle of nowhere, on a mountain. Moreover, with the rain, the road was slippery and fog had already set in on the mountain, making visibility extremely low. They definitely couldn't drive out.
Having a fever at that moment was a serious matter.
Everyone ran around in distress, bringing cold towels and more clothes.
"Ran, let me handle this."
"Heiji, are you going to take Sonoko somewhere? But with the rain, the road is slippery and the visibility is so low. Driving is very dangerous," Ran said, concerned.
Heiji smiled confidently and lifted Sonoko into his arms, "Don't worry, Sonoko's fever isn't high, I have a method."
"Are you a doctor?" Ayako said with pleasant surprise.
"A detective. I'm a detective."
"A detective? What does that have to do with being a doctor?"
However, by the time they reacted, Heiji was already carrying Sonoko up the stairs.
"Kazuha and Ran, come up and help me. The rest of you, start cooking. Miss Ayako, don't worry, I'll return a healthy and lively sister to you tomorrow."
Ran and Kazuha quickly followed him.
At that moment, there was no other choice; they could only trust Heiji.
"Hey, little brother, you can't go up and bother them."
Conan tried to go up, but Kakutani Hiroki stopped him and sat him on the sofa.
Damn it! Why does that guy, Hattori, get to go up?
Conan sat on the sofa, arms crossed with an annoyed expression.
In the room on the second floor, Heiji laid Sonoko on the bed and, seeing her flushed face, turned to the two girls standing behind him, unsure of what to do.
"Ran, go get a pair of Sonoko's pajamas. Kazuha, prepare a dry towel. And when you're ready, remember to close the door tightly."
The two girls, without a word, went to do as he asked. When they returned, they almost dropped what they were carrying.
Heiji had already taken off Sonoko's clothes. All over her body, only a few pieces of intimate clothing remained. Though, in reality, it was as if she were wearing nothing.
Anyway, Heiji had seen everything.
Sonoko was like a doll, being manipulated by Heiji. His fingers moved quickly all over her body, pressing on different points. In Ran and Kazuha's eyes, he had touched her everywhere.
After massaging her for almost an hour, Heiji finally laid her down.
"There. Help her dry her sweat and change her into the new pajamas."
The two girls touched Sonoko's forehead, and their eyes widened in shock, "Sonoko's fever is gone? Heiji, how did you do that?"
"I read it in a book. They're some pretty useful home remedies, but they only work in the initial stages of a fever."
In reality, it was a self-rescue method Heiji had learned as a mechanic.
After a while, Sonoko opened her eyes, still somewhat dazed.
"Sonoko, you're okay! That's great!" Ran said happily.
Sonoko glanced at Heiji, and a blush appeared on her cheeks as she nervously fiddled with the hem of her clothes.
An hour later, Ayako had dinner ready.
"Sonoko, are you okay now?"
Seeing Sonoko slowly coming downstairs, leaning on Ran, Ayako shouted in surprise.
"Yes, it was Heiji who helped bring my fever down."
Sonoko still felt a bit weak, but overall, the fever being gone was the best possible outcome.
At the dinner table, as they listened to Kazuha proudly explain Heiji's method, everyone was astonished. Of course, they only knew that Heiji had used a special massage technique, but they didn't know the specific details.
This guy, Hattori, knows way too much, doesn't he?
Conan thought, shocked.
First, car racing; now, medical knowledge. It was too incredible to be true, very strange.
The group was chatting cheerfully when, suddenly, the lights in the villa flickered and went out, plunging the entire house into total darkness.
Crash!
In the darkness, the sound of breaking glass was suddenly heard, and a gust of wind blew in.
"Aaaahhh!!"
A heart-wrenching scream was heard, followed by the sound of a heavy object hitting the floor.
Immediately after, the back door was suddenly pushed open, and a dark shadow sped past...
In the darkness, a strange atmosphere lingered.
