"Kukui?" Ino asked. It sounded like the are you okay type of question. I smiled
"Yeah. Sensei, can we go see if Naruto is fine?" I asked in my normal tone of voice
"Sure. He is still out though" Iruka said in a sad tone. Like someone yelled at him
"C'mon ino let's go see naruto," I said.
"O-okay" Ino ran up to me as we went inside.
"I'm going to break his arm or something" I blurted out. I was still pissed. The mutt could have killed my friend and Iruka did jack shit to help. I wasn't going to play Mr nice guy anymore. Next time the mutt does something he gets his teeth kicked in.
"You're not okay aren't you? Naruto got beat up pretty bad" Ino said as we entered the room with naruto. It looked like he was healing already.
"No. My friend got hurt more than he should have. I understand we are training to be shinobi but Kiba went too far this time. I don't care that I'm weaker than the worthless bastard. I'm kicking his ass next time I see his ugly face" I seethed. I meant every word too. I would have broken the asshole's nose but Iruka got back at that time. I'm not sure if anyone would back my violent choice but I don't care.
"I understand you're mad but you shouldn't just go and mindlessly beat Kiba up. You could get in trouble or worse" Ino said. She was right but it didn't stop me from wanting to kick Kiba in the balls. Note to self in eventual spar kick Kiba in groin. I smiled at the image of that
"Are you imagining something violent again?" Ino asked worriedly. I appreciated her concern. It was nice to hear.
"Yeah... You think after today I could up my training again? Would it be safe?" I asked. I needed to be stronger. Far stronger
"Of course, you can only think about training. Of course, you can, you need to be stronger for that little plan of yours. I'm still getting my punches and kicks in for Naruto though" Ino said jokingly. It lightened the mood a little bit but still.
"Well, you're going to need to be faster. I need to be stronger. And then we need to kick one mutt's ass" I said.
*Groan*
"See he agrees"
We both laughed at that.
"That lightens things up a bit. So we need to plan. Since Naruto is still out of it we have time to think before going back to watch the other spars. What is our next course of action?" I asked. I looked to ino who had a look of confusion on her face
"For what?" Ino asked. I wasn't clear it seems
"Training. Possible revenge. cheering up naruto" I said. I had ideas but another person to brainstorm with is great. It is just better that way.
"Hm... Well, we could always follow that suicidal training regimen you put together last week. Revenge, hm... we could give Kiba flees. And for naruto. You could cook another big meal. He loves food after all" Ino shared her ideas and I nodded along. I already thought about the food. Good to know I'm not the only one.
"Got it, I'll make another turkey meal. He loved that" I said remembering the thanksgiving meal I made... for 8 people. Naruto qualifies as 6 I guess.
*Groan* "My head... It hurts" I heard a raspy voice whine.
"Holy shit you're up already!" Ino exclaimed in shock. I was surprised too. Guess Kurama worked its magic faster than usual
"Where am I?" Naruto asked, now sitting up and rubbing his head.
I looked at the blond. "You're in the infirmary dumbass. Now rest some more you got hit pretty hard" I said softly. I didn't want to be harsh on the dumbass after a possible concussion
"Oh.. Kiba kicked my ass" Naruto said solemnly. He looked down
"No, kiba basically assaulted you. You were knocked out and the bastard still kept hitting you" Ino informed the blond.
"If anything you were kicking his ass for the most part" I comforted. Naruto didn't deserve to be hurt. He was too pure. He was a little shit though.
"Next time I'm gonna kick his ass!" Naruto said with some fire in his voice.
"Damn right you will. We all will" I said cheering the blond up even more
"Yeah, Well first we need to train some more," Ino said, bringing our heads down from the clouds.
"Oh yeah. Well, might as well start now"
"Yeah"
"I really wish this would boil faster," I said to myself. I was boiling a pot of tea. Ino had left and Naruto fell asleep so threw him onto my bed. It had been a long day for him. For everyone really but Naruto had the short end of the stick today. He still trained the most though which was surprising as he still had a headache
*Knock, knock, knock*
I sighed. I knew nobody would knock at this hour so this had to be the Hokage. I got an extra cup out and another bag of tea.
I opened the door and saw the man I knew would be behind the door. Hiruzen sarutobi.
"Hello, Hokage-sama, Would you like some tea?" I offered. This time I wasn't nervous. I prepared for him to come back.
"Ah yes kukui-kun. How thoughtful" Hiruzen entered and sat where he had last time.
"May I ask why you're here at this hour Hokage-sama?" I quickly gave the military leader a cup of tea.
"Can't an old man just visit his people every once in a while?" Hiruzen asked. He took a sip of the tea
"Fair enough," I said. I had no idea how to continue the conversation
"How is naruto-kun doing?" Hiruzen asked bluntly.
"He's fine. Tired, but fine" I said. I knew he knew about Narutos, loss to Kiba, and the consequential beat down from Kiba he got.
"I see. He should be fine by tomorrow. Although it must have been discouraging to have a loss like that" Hiruzen said in a grandpa voice. He did truly care about Naruto at least.
"Yeah, but he'll win next time. For sure" I said. I believed in ninja Jesus quite a bit.
"We will wait and see. By the way, an interesting choice in BukiJutsu. I thought you'd take stealth or fuinjutsu" Hiruzen said, bringing up the fact I sidestepped expectations.
"Well my levels of strength are quite low so I figured i could take a weapon to supplement it until my strength training bears fruit," I said explaining why I took bukijutsu. Hiruzen nodded in acceptance
"Logical. I heard that Michiru is offering a second weapon for people who master their original weapon, ``What would you take?" Hiruzen Asked in general curiosity.
'He's feeling my personality out. Better be careful with what I say' I thought. "A tanto would be nice but any blade would be good," I said truthfully. A tanto would be preferable to a club but the club was for bashing skulls in and basically implementing my poor strength.
"I see, A tanto would be a fine choice," The aged Hokage said. A wave of uncomfortable silence washed over us suddenly. "Kukui-kun, may I ask you a question?" Hiruzen asked. His gaze showed seriousness whereas his posture showed otherwise. If I fuck up I'm dead.
"Sure," I said simply. I tried valiantly to not let my nervousness seep into realityHiruzen said proudly
"Do you believe in the will of fire?" Hiruzen asked simply. His eyes were filled with hope for some reason.
I looked at hiruzen. The will of fire was something I enjoyed hearing about in the series, I believed in it as did many others. "Yes I do," I said in an instant. The fire shadow looked pleased with my response.
The fire shadow smiled. "I can see it burns brightly in you?" Hiruzen said proudly. His posture relaxed as well. That was good.
Hiruzen took another sip of his tea. "Now kukui-kun do you like strategy games?" Hiruzen asked
"Yeah. It's been a while since I've played one though" I replied nervously. I had a bad feeling about this.
Say kukui-kun ``Would you like to play a game?" Hiruzen asked, pulling a board out of nowhere. I suddenly felt like I was going to suffer through many, many crushing defeats
"Sure..."
*Sigh* "I hate this," I said to myself. I was in a forest. The academy had an exercise where we had to survive an entire day. We were given the basic supplies and a backpack to hold them and for bukijutsu students their weapon as well. We weren't allowed to kill each other but we were allowed to beat the shit out of each other. If another student knocked you out you were eliminated. You were also given a scroll which we were told not to open
Currently, I was in an area akin to a giant spruce forest from Minecraft but the trees looked like oak. I needed to find shelter fast and look for my friends. There was no telling what they'd do or what someone would do if they found them.
I looked around. Rocks surrounded me as well as the trees. I could use this. I looked around for a bit and found a few giant rocks in a square shape. Perfect. Looking around I found a tree with big but not too big branches that I could carry. Conveniently the tree wasn't huge so I could climb up it.
I climbed up the tree and went up to the first branch I saw. I swung my club down upon it knocking it down. I proceeded to climb up and knock down more branches.
"Good. Now I can make walls" I spoke to myself. Being walled in would save me from something at least. I quickly dragged the branches to the rocks and placed him inside in the shape of a square. I would have made a roof too but that was too hard.
*Rrgghh* My stomach growled. "Great, Just great," I muttered. I would start a fire once I found something. A rabbit maybe?
I elected to go find literally anything to eat. I walked over the wall and began my trek into the forest.
"Nature is beautiful," I muttered while walking around. The trees were vibrant with color. The wildflowers were well wild and beautiful. The grass felt soft. The sky was blocked though which sucked. This was completely unlike my home world. Pollution was everywhere. Sights like this were ruined
This is what I loved most. Nature was often taken for granted.
*Rustle* I heard rustling in the bushes
"Big mistake," I said. A rabbit jumped out of the bush
I jumped at it. It tried to run away but I caught it.
"Goodbye poor rabbit" I quickly snapped its neck killing the poor thing quickly.
"Hey get back here!" Exclaimed someone. I recognized the kid. It was a civilian kid. I looked in his direction. He was chasing a fox. Its leg looked fucked up too. Like it was broken. He was hunting the fucking fox for no reason. Foxes, while edible, aren't really good. I got mad. I loved foxes. I left my rabbit in my backpack, I'd come back for it later
I shifted my feet. I jumped toward the civilian. Ryuki? I think his name was. I grabbed my club.
"Bastard!" I shouted. Ryuki looked at me
"What?" He asked. He looked like he was doing nothing wrong. I threw my club at him.
"WHOA. WHAT THE FUCK KUKUI!" He shouted. He ducked under it
Quickly I ran to the fox and grabbed it. I placed it out of harm's way. "You're safe now" I smiled at the poor creature. Then I ran back to ryuki. "Why were you hunting that fox? I asked angrily.
"Its just a dumb fox. I was having fun" The sociopath said grinning like he was riding a rollercoaster
"Fucking sociopath," I replied. I activated sprinting and ran toward the sociopath with super speed. My fist crashed into his face knocking him out.
I went back to the fox. "C'mon let's fix you up" I pulled out my first aid kit.
"Kiba Vs Kukui," Iruka said. Kiba smiled. It had been a month since he beat up naruto now he wanted to beat me
"Not a word Kiba" I growled out. He just grinned cockily. We walked to the ring
I was confident I could win. My stats were at a high level and I could always use bloodlust and sprinting. 'Stats' I called out in my mind

I was fucking proud of my stats. I was fast enough to keep up with Naruto now and I could go past him with sprinting. Although I haven't beaten him yet. My chakra was now an even 200. My Energy points have gone up to 400 seemingly overnight! Dexterity was almost at 20 and strength was at 15 which was far better than before. All in all, I was proud of my stats. My month of brutal training would hopefully pay off. I had even memorized the weak points in the human body and I had perfected my accuracy. Which was fucking hard to do
I did this all to beat Kiba. I wanted to win not just for myself but for naruto and ino. Also to see what the hokage would do if I won. After our second talk, I had become curious to what his motives were for contacting me. It couldn't just be him wanting to play shogi with someone. He has the nara clan for that. I shivered remembering my many losses that night. So many stat screens... so, so much...
"Afraid I'm gonna hurt your little feelings?" Kiba asked, making crying motions.
"No I'm honestly scared for you," I said with the most genuine smile I could muster. I truly was afraid for the inuzuka's safety if he kept being an asshole.
"Haha you shouldn't be. You saw what I did to Naruto, didn't you? He asked rhetorically with a shit-eating grin
"I should have broken your nose" I shook my head. "I will fix that though. And when I do, don't go crying to your mommy" I said mimicking Kiba's fake crying which only served to piss him off.
"Alright enough arguing you two. Begin" Iruka said. This time we skipped formalities
I jumped toward kiba and grabbed his arm before he could punch me. I then tried to punch him. He grabbed my arm
"Not so tough now" He mocked. He was still physically stronger. Not by much though.
I squeezed his wrist with my iron grip earning a yelp of pain. He let go of my arm. Quickly I punched his face. Earning more shouts of pain from him.
"Not so tough now" I mocked mimicking what the mutt said. Kiba bit my hand.
"The fuck" I activated bloodlust for a second scaring Kiba. I jumped back at him with a dynamic entry-style kick ready to knock him back. Kiba got ready to grab my leg. I canceled out my kick mid-air and rolled, performing a leg sweep which caught kiba off guard.
"Ouch, hey that hurt you little bastard," He said angrily. I stuck out my tongue as I jumped back and he jumped at me. I shifted my stance and blocked a combo of punches. I stuck out my leg tripping him. I brought my knee up hitting his jaw and uppercutting him.
Kiba mirrored the move he pulled during his fight with Naruto and pulled me up with him. I saw I was in a prime position.
"Got you loser! And this time I'm going to make sure I don't knock you out for turning everyone against me" Kiba threat was subtle but simple I grinned. "What's so funny?" He asked with a punch poised for my face.
"Revenge is a dish best served with infertility" I smiled. 'Sprinting' I called out mentally. I needed the extra attack speed. I kneed kiba in the groin.
I sent kiba flying upwards. He was defying gravity now. I held onto him and I quickly flipped him around so he was facing the ground.
We crashed into the ground. Kiba took most of the impact for me.
"How does it feel?" I asked getting off of him and stood next to him.
"Fuck you" He said and I was surprised he could talk. He Hit his jaw pretty hard. Kiba spat out some blood and tried to get up.
"I grabbed his head. I decided to take the high road. "Sensei, it's over. I could bash his head into the ground repeatedly. I win" I said and some of the class cheered. Particularly ino, naruto and some civilian kids. I dropped Kiba.
"Winner kuku-" Iruka was cut off.
"Not just yet" Kiba sprang to life and ran towards me with a bloody face and blood coming out of his mouth. He all in all looked like crap.
I stepped to the side and kiba jumped out of the ring, hitting a wall and finally knocking himself out.
"Okay, now I win," I said blankly
Okay, Winner kukui" Iruka announced as I walked back to naruto and ino like a fucking champion.
"Kiba got his ass kicked! Kukui you're awesome!" Naruto exclaimed as I walked under the shade of the tree
"Yeah, you seriously kicked Kiba's ass! All that work must have paid off" Ino agreed with naruto. This felt good. I felt like a fucking superhero.
"It damn did. I'm going after Sasuke next" I announced. The Uchiha heard me and smirked
"We'll see" He simply said. He then walked away. I looked at ino who looked torn. Either fangirl over Sasuke or encourage me. That was what I was assuming anyways
I smiled at the Uchiha. He wasn't an asshole like kiba. Just arrogant sometimes. "One day we will. I'll be training" I said. I knew the Uchiha liked a challenge and I was feeling good enough after that smackdown of Kiba that I wanted to challenge the uchiha
"So you really want to fight Sasuke huh?" Ino asked sadly. Like I said before, she still had some fangirl at heart.
"Yep. Its fine, " I said happily. I was fine with ino wanting to support sasuke. I accepted the fact she wasn't out of the fog yet
"Yeah and you're gonna kick his ass!" Naruto exclaimed. I just noticed he screamed a lot.
"Hopefully. I'm not strong enough yet though" I said, holding my face in my hand.
"Well don't leave us in the dust, kukui," Ino said jokingly, punching my shoulder.
"Yeah! You can't be leaving us behind now!" Naruto said
"HA. If I could then your two must suck" I jokingly said back
"HEY"
"Alright, let's see if this works" I said. Ino had managed to get her hands on chakra paper. I was the guinea pig to see if it actually worked. I channeled a small amount of chakra into the paper
It burned into blue fire. 'Holy shit'
"Whoa" We all said at once
"Well, that's not supposed to happen" Naruto said... He knew more than us so i trusted him. "Its only supposed to burn into a cool orange flame" He finished
"My fire affinity must be rare then" I mused. "Okay ino lets see yours" I said snapping everyone out of their surprise
"Oh yeah. I can't believe you got blue fire!" Ino exclaimed before channeling her chakra into the paper
It turned soggy.
"And I was right," I gloated.
"How did you guess are elemental affinities?" Ino asked rhetorically
"Because I'm awesome" I said
"Yeah right, You still have to get those scrolls for everyone though" Ino reminded me
