A name Adam hadn't heard before—or perhaps had forgotten. He thought that was the woman's name, but it wasn't. It belonged to another doctor.
Adam tried his best to "remember" Dr. Williams' face, but a shadow blocked his view.
And before he could see the face, before he could hear anything else, the memory started to crack.
Adam's eyes snapped open, woken up by his own pleading gasp.

Adam sat up, his eyes scanning where he was. He was inside a tent, but the only bed present was the one beneath him.
