With Magnus back at Dorian's side, the battle changed shape.
The two of them cut through the Bloodmoon ranks and everywhere they went the Shadowfang wolves rallied behind them.
Willow held the eastern doorway. Dorian and Magnus drove toward her from the courtyard, and caught between the Luna who would not fall and the Alpha and Beta who fought like something out of the old legends, the invaders began, for the first time that night, to falter.
Gray saw it from his place in the shadows, and he understood what it meant before anyone else did.
