The morning after Magnus's imprisonment, Willow sat in the kitchen watching Evan eat his breakfast.
He had woken up confused but unharmed, remembering nothing about how he ended up in the dungeons.
The pack doctor said it was likely wolfsbane induced memory loss, which only made Dorian angrier.
"My lady, let me help with that." A gentle voice said behind her.
Willow turned to see an older woman with graying hair and kind eyes, wearing a servant's uniform. Something about her seemed vaguely familiar, but Willow couldn't place it.
"I'm Dora," The woman said, smiling warmly. "I started yesterday, helping with the coronation preparations. I'm so sorry about what happened with your son. A mother's worst nightmare."
"Thank you." Willow said, exhaustion weighing on her. She hadn't slept at all, too afraid to let Evan out of her sight.
"You should eat something yourself," Dora continued, already moving to prepare a plate. "You need to keep your strength up for the little one."
