Chapter 1 - The Evernight

In a demolished city, survivors were screaming and falling to the ground a in a frenzied panic.Men ran over children and woman desperately tried to make their way through the crowded street as their children are pushed aside, thunderous screeching wails, resounded from behind the charging stampede of refugees. Through a wall of fire and smoke a vile almost human like hand, with bone claws growing from each finger reached forward. It was inhumanly big its dark rough skin grab onto the frail people and pulled them back into the darkness of the smoke filled night sky. Just then a the night sky back as bright as day in an instant, people stumbled and look up finally able to see the disgusting creature. A towering 4 meters in height, it looked demonic with sharp jagged fangs which didn't fit properly in its own mouth, its black obsidian skin seemed to smolder against human skin causing a pungent nauseating smell… ripping and pulling his victims apart with a low bellowing churgle drowned out by the crunching and squelch as he devoured them. As the light seemed to light up the eternal darkness a man wearing sunglasses and simple white tunic floated above the chaos looking down with a indifferent expression. After looking around for a few seconds he disappeared and the head of the creature fell from its shoulders landing on the asphalt street, leaving cracks.Suddenly a blindly light came from its eye sockets leaving only two white lilys giving off a small glow,in their place rapidly sucking the corpses of its blood until there was nothing but roots and bones.

Five years later, Present day

Inside one of the thousands refugees camps that had been setup over the last half century, a small short black haired boy sat in his tent with barely enough space for him and a few accommodation like his make shift bed made of old worn out blankets and a backpack he used as a pillow. As his stomach growled loudly a skinny woman squeezed in next to him and hug him tightly as she sobbed and apologized, " Im so sorry my little sunshine I couldn't find any food… if only you didn't have such a useless mother maybe I could protect you." hugging the small boy as she wept she finally open a dirty cloth and took their last piece of bread and gave it to him. He ate the moldy hard bread and fell asleep, without much food many children could only find some solace in sleep.

Many days passed after that but with the conditions they were in it was no surprise when little Dale was unable to wake up his mother one morning…crying and hungry he stayed next to her until inevitably his appetite grew to much, he stood up and went to look for anything he could eat no matter how rottenit might be. Stepping out of his small tent he was met with the endless sights of filth, trash covered streets,a fog which perpetually hung over them covering out the sky making it hard to grow anything. He was just another victim of the eternal night which had cause their world to crumble in the matter of a few years.

Stumbling past some corpses he wandered aimlessly looking for anything he could possibly satiate his hunger… after walking for an unknown amount of time he approached the edge of their camp which was situated in the middle of a city which had been barricaded and reinforced long ago he caught the sent of a mouth watering flavor. Turning a corner their was a small black flower with black raspberries growing from its base, they looked like obsidian gems as the flower kept exuding a smell that was almost irresistible. With a watering mouth the boy seemed to lose reason and began devouring them greedily one after another and another and then another.
