Chapter 114 - Chapter 115: Underworld

Underworld, or 'Hell', in the eyes of many.

A vast, dark, and hellish realm, where the very air was thick with heat and suffocating fumes.

The sky above was a swirling crimson and black, crackling with lightning, casting an eerie, red-tinted glow over everything.

The ground was made of jagged, volcanic rock, slick with lava that flows in rivers of fire, creating glowing paths through the landscape.

The atmosphere was heavy, with a palpable sense of dread, an oppressive weight that presses down on any sinners sent here.

In this realm, the landscape seems to be divided like a flat beehive.

Each hexagon was connected to a certain mainland, but no one had access to the other side from these shared areas.

On the surface, the only purpose for 'Lava sea' to exist in each mainland was the 'judgment law',

That each mainland would choose a certain higher being as its representative.

And those representatives, through their law of judgment,

Could summon the 'hell gate',

Or 'underworld gate', to be exact, and then banish the sinners of the Mainlands to the Underworld.

What would happen to those sinners afterwards?

At the beginning, they would lose their law, for a certain purpose, hidden from everyone, and become level 1 creatures.

And then they would be punished for their sins.

In the Underworld, no one could use their power, skills, and law from the world above.

But most beings on the mainland didn't know anything about this place, because none of those who were sent here ever returned.

Looking from above at this seemingly endless underworld, many of the hexagons were dark, completely dark, as if they were 'dead' zones.

These dark areas were places connected to 'dead' mainlands.

The mainland that was hunted and then destroyed or devoured.

At the center of the underworld was a massive, foreboding citadel, built from blackened stone and bone, surrounded by a sea of fire.

This was the throne of the underworld's ruler,

The absolute authority and the Queen of hell,

Lilith, the infernal.

At this moment,

Inside the massive citadel,

A certain little guardian was hanging from the ceiling of a big and magnificent hall.

In front of him,

On a big throne, made of dark obsidian,

With flickering flames surrounding it,

The Queen of hell, Lilith, was sitting,

Looking at the small boy wrapped in chains in front of her, with one hand under her chin, thoughtfully.

Beside her was an old man with closed eyes, standing silently in a black, ghostly suit.

The Queen of hell, Lilith, was now looking at the lines connecting to the strange little boy.

Above the boy's head,

Two lines, only visible to her, were extending in different directions.

Each of these lines was connected to one of the hexagons in her territory, the underworld.

The lines were 'karma lines' that only she, as the manager of this realm, could see.

This was one of the privileges level 10 creatures had in their territory.

One of the two lines was connected to where he was born,

And the other was where he grew up, and then sacrificed his universe.

And that was what made her slightly confused.

While in her own thoughts,

She heard the little boy saying,

"Do you want to know an interesting fact about your master, Mr. Butler?"

The old man, the most feared entity in this realm after the Queen herself, who was called 'butler' by the little boy, slowly opened his eyes.

Seeing him opening his eyes,

Lilith looked at the little boy with a playful smile, eager to see the effect of those eyes on him.

The old man beside her was called Malphor, the bearer of suffering.

His law was the unique law of torture.

His main way of torture was his eyes and voice.

Just staring at him would bring your worst pains that you experienced, or the worst pains that Malphor himself could make you feel, to experience again and again.

Anyone would beg for mercy just after one glance from him,

And that's why his eyes were always closed in normal times.

Hearing the disrespect, not towards himself,

But his Queen, and speaking without permission,

The old man tried to give the child a lesson.

But,

"Oh no!

What happened to your eyes?"

His eyes were completely white, as though he were blind.

The playful smile disappeared from Lilith's face.

The old man frowned.

The two were now thinking about the same thing.

'Why didn't it work on him?

Where are the screams?

Where is the begging for mercy...?'

Not receiving any answer, the little boy, or to be exact, Little mortal said,

"Oh, you are deaf and blind..."

And a moment later,

"Wait, deaf people mostly can't talk either,

And you are blind too!"

Then he sighed,

"That's sad...

You remind me of a certain girl.

Her name was Helen.

Like you, she couldn't see, hear, or speak...

But she became an 'author' in the end.

Can you believe it?

I always wondered,

How is that even possible?

How can you write books?

When you can't see or hear anything?

Where is the imagination coming from?

Where is the source of creativity?

However, I must say, she had a good teacher.

Her name was Anne,

The lifelong companion of the girl...

She actually stayed with her until the last day of her life..."

Reaching this part, Little mortal sighed and seemed to be sentimental...

Then he shook his head and said,

"Who am I talking to?

You can't even hear me..."

The 'blind and deaf old man' was now gritting his teeth.

At this moment,

A chuckling sound came from the big double door of the hall,

"Mother, I heard you caught something interesting?"

Hearing the voice, which seemed to be from a young girl, Little Mortal wiggled to try and spin his body while hanging from the ceiling, to see who had just entered.

The other party was a girl, in red armor, extremely similar to Lilith.

Little Mortal gasped the moment he saw her,

And waited to spin back towards the Queen and said in surprise,

"How is that even possible?

Managers can have kids?"

The corner of Lilith's mouth twitched.

Veins popped up on the old man's forehead.

The girl chuckled again,

"Mother, you finally listened to me and hired a 'jester' for your place?"

Little mortal, who was spun back to her again, snorted,

"The only jester around here is you, Little manager's brat!"

The sound of chuckling stopped.

The girl, who seems to be a smaller version of Lilith, froze in place.

The old man's mouth was now slightly open.

Lilith's playful smile returned to her face.

The second test was here.

The girl stretched her right hand, and a flaming sword appeared in it.

Now her body was on fire, literally.

She said with a voice full of anger,

"Give me a reason why I shouldn't incinerate you right here and right now, little minion!"

Little Mortal, looking at the girl on fire,

With the scary sword in her hand,

Said,

"If you kill me,

Then your mother will never know about 'that' secret!"

The girl furrowed her brow,

"What secret?"

Little Mortal snorted,

"Would that be a secret if I told you, silly manager's brat?"

The girl's hand trembled when he called her like that again.

She tried her best to control herself and glanced at her mother, who only watched them with interest.

After a brief moment, she gritted her teeth, and the sword disappeared from her hand.

Little Mortal spun back to the Queen,

"I say, Ms. Manager,

Why do you need a blind and deaf butler?

And an 'easy to fool' girl in such an important place?"

A whip appeared in the old man's hand,

The sword reappeared in the girl's hand again,

And both of them attacked the chained little boy at the same time!

Both of them snapped at the same time.

They thought,

'Let's kill this big mouth rascal first, then we apologize to the Queen!'

Little Mortal shook his head,

"If only my hands were free..."

And closed his eyes as though he accepted his fate.

"Enough!"

The Queen ordered.

The two angry attackers froze in place.

Little Mortal opened his eyes,

And complained to the Queen,

"Ms. Manager, just look at them,

Two adults, attacking a little boy in chains with a sword and a whip...

I really can't wait to tell everyone about their heroic act!

And not only that!

In this epic and bloody battle between the little boy in chains against the angry old man teaming up with the crazy girl, the two even survived the battle!

Without a single scratch!

They are so brave and strong that I can't believe my eyes!

I'm sure the 'child abuse organization' of your underworld won't be happy hearing about this child abuse under the daylight... No wait!

Under the day 'Fire' in your realm!"

The old man and the girl lost their tempers again and attacked him!

This time, Lilith furrowed her brow, waved a finger,

And both of them were thrown out of the place.

She wanted to have a private conversation with this little rat.

But looking at him now, she was speechless.

This kid was so obedient now that it didn't make sense.

A couple of days ago,

She felt that the 'Underworld Gate' opened, and a guard door was sent flying by someone!

Who would dare to do such a thing to her guards?

The judges from the mainland would issue the decree, and the sinners would be handed over to her guards, and that would be it.

But one of them was actually sent flying that day!

When she checked,

It turned out the one attacking her guard was the owner of a judge hammer!

So the other party should be a registered judge from the world above.

But the weird thing was the humans that this judge sent for punishment.

The judges were all on the mainland,

And the judgment law was always applied there,

So if anyone was sent down here,

They were at least a level 6 being, because the entry level of the mainland was level 6,

Not some random level 1...

While puzzled as to how these level 1 humans had ended up on the mainland, she sent them to the same place as the rest of the 'sinners'.

In the end, everyone would be suppressed to level 1 here anyway, so it didn't matter what level they were.

But it didn't take long before the same gate opened again randomly.

This time, someone came in whom she knew wasn't a sinner, but a trespasser.

The other party was really hard to find, even for her, the manager of this realm!

And even when she found a trace of the sneaky 'rat', he would slip away from her grasp every time.

And it wasn't only that.

The 'rat' even scared one of her 'gates' so much that the gate was listening to his orders obediently!

That's how she almost caught the little 'rat' once.

She just watched over this peculiar gate until it opened again, and she tried to catch him with her chains, but even then, she couldn't!

To her, this was an unbelievable truth that she didn't want to believe.

Here, with the whole realm as her support,

She was at the peak of level 10,

A 'giant' at the peak of power that no one could dream of facing, and the chains she used were the Underworld chains!

They were supposed to 'chain' anything and everything... Or at least that was what she thought before dealing with this... little boy?

Only today did she see who the 'rat' lurking in her realm was.

And the reason she could exactly find where he was hiding was because her 'fate' was cut off through one of her 'believers', a crazy higher being who called himself 'God of Disaster'.

She knew he turned into a puppet a while ago,

But she didn't care because the only thing she cared about was the indirect access she had to the mainland that his universe was connected to.

The 'Speedy Mainland', which was a rare survival among normal mainlands.

But today, that believer's 'fate', which was connected to her through her 'minions', was cut off completely!

She really didn't understand how, though.

Did the other party die?

That's why his 'fate' was broken?

If so, then why was his universe still intact?

It was at this moment that she felt the planet with her minions inside was actually taken away!

Not only that, it was taken away by Lubo, a disaster with a long history that the last time she had heard about was when it was being used by a level 10 manager from the world above.

How was it free now?

Why was it merging with planets instead of devouring them?

Lilith really wanted to know what was happening in the world above.

And finally, because of what happened to the planet her 'fate' was connected to, and someone cut off her connection directly,

It gave her the 'reason' to take action personally and enter the other side to investigate.

Even if it were for a short time,

For an entity at her level, that would be sufficient to gather a lot of information.

The relationship between world law and underworld law worked in this way.

They couldn't interfere with each other's business,

Until someone from the other side does something that affects someone from the opposite side.

Depends on how much it affects the underworld,

It gave 'reason' to the Underworld manager, Lilith, to 'act' on it in the world above.

But she never thought that someone on the other side would 'shut the door' in her face before she could even enter!

And not just any door,

But the door of her own house!

And it didn't even end there.

The culprit actually stood behind the gate,

And even 'whispered' to someone about 'baiting' her!

She heard him talking about 'guardian',

The frontline effect, and the other conversations he had with the girl called Rose.

She didn't doubt that this kid wasn't a fool and really wanted her to hear the conversation and take him away!

That's why she took the 'bait' and brought him here to get some answers from him.

Lilith looked at the little boy, who many things didn't make sense about him, and said,

"Are you done acting?

They have already left; you can free yourself.

Didn't you run from my chains so many times already..."

Little mortal, still in chains, said,

"What do you mean by acting, Ms. Manager?

I am a guest in your house,

So I can't just go around without permission and damage your property.

It's impolite."

Lilith's horns flashed with fire,

"How many times did you come here and then leave without even 'knocking'?"

Little Mortal said firmly,

"Never!"

And the word 'Truth' appeared above his head.

In this realm, the Queen could activate her law,

And see who was telling the truth and who was lying to her.

It was another special authority of level 10 creatures in their territory.

Right now, because the matters with this abnormal kid were serious, she had already activated her lie-detector.

Seeing the 'truth', she knew what he said was what he believed to be the truth.

"Didn't you use my gate to come here a couple of times?"

Little Mortal rolled his eyes at her,

"Your gate?

I have the key to it, how is it 'yours' if the door key is in my pocket?"

Lilith frowned and waved her hand.

A list of names appeared, each one in front of a mainland's name.

"You are Ma'at?

Representative of the judgment law in the speedy mainland?"

Ma'at was the real name of the God of Judgment.

Little Mortal shook his head and said proudly,

"No, I am Mortal.

Representative of the strongest law!"

Lilith was now more confused when she saw another 'truth',

"How can you open the gate then?"

"With the key, my judge hammer."

Lilith checked the list again and saw the name of a birth treasure called 'Judge hammer' in front of Ma'at's name,

"Why is it with you?"

Little Mortal smiled,

"I received it as my birthday gift.

Your list is outdated."

Lilith's eyes widened slightly when she saw another 'truth',

"Why would he give his birth treasure as a gift to you?

Didn't the world law punish him for such a stupid act as the judge?"

Little Mortal snorted,

"The world law was watching.

It even clapped for me and congratulated me on my birthday."

Lilith wouldn't believe a single word coming out of this kid's mouth if the word 'truth' didn't keep appearing above his head!

'So he somehow took the 'key' from the 'judge',

And now he can play with it?

And the world law is just watching?'

"Alright, forget about that.

How is it that you haven't been eaten by that disgusting thing?"

"What disgusting thing!?"

"You don't know?"

"Know what?"

"Okay, let me ask you this first,

Where was the first mainland that you were attached to?"

"The Speedy Mainland."

"Wrong."

"Wrong!?"

"So you really don't know...

Well, it's nothing unusual actually.

The newborns from that mainland are eaten not long after being born, so it's natural for you not to see that part.

You weren't completely born at that time."

Little Mortal was now dying from curiosity.

So he wiggled his body and came out of the chain, which he had just said was impolite to do without permission, as if it didn't have any effect on him.

When he was going to land on the ground,

He performed a front flip and landed on one knee, with one hand close to the ground and the other stretched behind him.

Hero landing!

And then he ran to Lilith,

"Ms. Manager, Ms. Manager!

It's my turn to ask questions!"

Lilith bit her lips.

This kid actually freed himself with sheer power...

Wasn't her chain supposed to take away his law from the world above and turn him to level 1?

'This 'strongest' law, he said, might not be far from the truth!

But how is it that it still works here, in the underworld, with the underworld law as the dominant law?'

Now, slightly vigilant of this unknown creature that she felt zero law and presence from,

She said,

"Alright, ask away."

With this power, and not having any presence,

She knew for sure that he could run away from her again at any moment if he wanted to.

She didn't want to admit it, but it was the truth...

Finding him again in that case was close to impossible for her.

Though using the 'weakness' of newborns would work on him now that she knew his real identity.

But it was unnecessary for now until she found out what he wanted.

So she decided to act like a 'host' for now.

Little Mortal asked excitedly,

"Tell me the story of Lubo and the newborns!"

Lilith nodded,

"Well, to tell you that,

First, you should know about your 'first mainland',

The Hunters Mainland."

Little Mortal's eyes widened in shock,

"Wait, wait!

I'm from the enemy camp?

I'm going to war against my old hometown?"

Seeing the 'truth' again, Lilith raised her eyebrows,

"How are you going to start a war with your level 6 mainland against a level 10 mainland?"

"That's a secret!

I can tell you after the plan is successfully executed.

Continue the story, Ms. Manager!

We have a plot twist here!"

Lilith was now interested.

She continued,

"Long ago, the Hunters Mainland found the famous evil birth treasure, which is known as Let Us Be One, or Lubo.

At that time, the hunters were engaged in a losing war with another mainland.

Both mainlands were at peak level 9 and one step away from level 10.

The winner of this war could actually let one side advance.

But a sudden disaster occurred in the enemy camp, with an evil birth treasure coming out of nowhere and devouring universe after universe from one side at first, and both sides later on.

The enemy didn't know it was Lubo who had been sent to their side by their own enemy, because evil birth treasures are 'mindless' and act solely on instinct.

And more importantly, the hunters' universe was also being targeted by Lubo.

Either way, the two sides were 'forced' to act as temporary allies and stop the disaster.

However, in reality, the Hunters Mainland manager was behind this and had actually struck a deal with Lubo, the only evil birth treasure with intelligence.

How did Lubo keep itself sane? That's a secret.

What was the deal between the two sides? I don't know about that.

But either way, Lubo was defeated by the combined force of the two sides, and it was sealed away.

Unbeknownst to Lubo and the hunter's enemy,

This was all part of a plan devised by the Hunters Mainland manager from the start: to weaken the enemy and Lubo simultaneously, and win the battle.

And that was exactly what they did in the end.

The Hunters won the war and the evil birth treasure with its memory 'sealed'.

It was on this day that the Hunters Mainland advanced to level 10."

Little mortal gasped,

"So sinister!

What happened next?"

"At that time, the Mainland manager was a newly promoted level 10, so they weren't strong enough to go after other level 10 Mainlands.

However, the manager soon discovered that he could employ the same strategy of releasing Lubo in enemy camps again.

The only thing they needed to figure out was how to awaken the evil birth treasure and how to seal it again.

And soon they found out how.

They used newly formed incomplete universes, and destroyed the evil birth treasure being born with the higher being in it, if there was one, and if there wasn't any birth treasure,

Then they would throw Lubo in and wait for the right time. Another Mainland would take the 'incomplete universe' away with it, and then they would unseal Lubo.

You should know how Lubo is being fooled by this same trick and how it can be sealed over and over again."

Little mortal was in disbelief,

"Those hunters, after sending the incomplete universe to their target, the Mainland, would unseal Lubo, and it does what any evil birth treasures do with the higher beings of the incomplete universe.

Devouring them!

Lubo's memory would also be reset at the beginning by world law, because it sees a higher being without any birth treasure.

And after eating the higher being, it will be the universe's turn to be devoured.

That helps Lubo make a connection with the law of the New Zone!

But because the foundation of the law Lubo started with is an incomplete universe, later on it can be easily sealed by the Hunter's 'complete law'!"

Lilith nodded.

"That's pretty much it.

I just don't understand how you weren't eaten?"

Little Mortal's hand was now shaking,

"They used us, from incomplete universes, as appetizers for Lubo?"

Lilith nodded.

"Yes."

"And I was only one of those appetizers?"

Lilith nodded again while smiling coldly.

Every time she nodded, this little unknown creature in front of her became more furious and angry.

It was as though the playful 'kid' was fading away,

And a monster was awakening slowly.

Little mortal then took a deep breath and muttered to himself,

"Never hate your enemies, that affects your judgment."

Seeing him trying to calm himself down,

Lilith's eyebrows rose.

Looks like this monster had some self contr-

*BAM*

Little mortal suddenly stomped his foot on the ground!

Lilith's heart almost jumped into her throat.

The whole citadel and a radius of at least 10 hexagons nearby trembled violently!

"How dare they play with my people!"

The angry shout of the little boy echoed in the hall.

Little mortal, while gritting his teeth, said,

"How much for the address?"

And took some broken spirit stones out of his pocket, as if ready to pay for the address!

Lilith calmed herself down and asked in confusion,

"What address?"

Little Mortal gritted his teeth,

"Hunter's address, and the key to go there.

How much for it?

I pay for it in cash, right here and right now!"

Then, he slammed spirit stones on a random table by his side, which smashed to pieces.

Lilith ignored the 'public property' that he just destroyed, and chuckled,

"Oh, you want to go there for revenge?

Well, I can give you the 'address' and the 'key',

But can you pay for it?

I don't need 'money', you know?"

Little mortal nodded and said confidently,

"If any problem is bothering you, tell me!

I'll take care of it for you."

Lilith nodded.

This kid's strong body and invisibility had some uses.

But before agreeing to his request,

She needed to investigate and gain a better understanding of this abnormal newborn.

Not long ago, when she was about to enter the planet with Lubo at its core, she had a brief moment of direct contact with the other side's world law and received some scattered, yet interesting, information about this little boy from it.

She even heard the conversation he had with the girl named Rose, and she didn't know if it was true or if he was acting.

So she said,

"Giving you access to other Mainlands is against the underworld law.

Do you know that?"

Little Mortal nodded,

"I know, but don't worry, the underworld won't know a thing.

Didn't I enter here without its notice before?"

Lilith, while annoyed, nodded,

"Yes, but this has some risks for me.

What if you use it against me?

In that case, I receive punishment from the underworld law."

Little mortal gasped, then sighed like a disappointed senior,

"You are right...

In this day and age, with all these crazy, uncultured, savage, and uncivilized higher beings going around and making chaos, who is left to trust anymore?"

Then he climbed up the big chair close to Lilith,

That from its lower position seems to be the seat for that old man,

Poured something that seemed to be 'tea' for himself and started sipping on his teacup while acting sentimental.

Lilith was speechless when she saw him suddenly transform into a disappointed elderly.

Feel at home!

And what's this red smoke coming out of you?

The 'energy' from the tea?

Why does the energy contain it, leaving his body?

Why is he even able to extract the underworld law in my tea?'

Lilith tried to scan his body, but she couldn't...

Or to be exact, there wasn't anything in her 'radar' to 'scan'.

"Ms. Manager, we can make a deal if you don't trust me.

What do you think?

One long-term deal, one short-term deal.

World law as my witness, underworld law as your witness.

No way to break it."

Lilith thought for a moment, then nodded,

"I agree.

But before that, I need to know about Lubo.

How is it that it's so tame on that planet?

In normal circumstances, while 'awake' and 'unsealed',

I'm sure it wouldn't stay quiet like this."

Little mortal smiled arrogantly,

"Let me tell you, partner.

Lubo, believe it or not,

is my employee right now."

Lilith, the partner, wanted to slap him out of the underworld!

He actually called her, the fearsome Queen of Hell, 'partner'!

They aren't even in any kind of 'deal' yet!

But while her horns seem to act as

'an anger-meter' was now bright red,

She tried to control herself while asking,

"What do you mean by employee?

How could that thing be anyone's employee?"

She knew he was telling the 'truth'.

Little mortal sipped on his underworld tea calmly,

"It's on you to believe it or not.

But Lubo is forced to work for me and allow me to use 100% of its power until the end of our deal."

Lilith glanced at the 'truth' above the little boy's head, and felt that her 'lie-detector' might be broken.

When he can even hide himself from both world law and underworld law, he might be 'invisible' to her lie detector, too.

"Let's assume you are telling the truth.

What use is it to you?

And for how long will it be your employee?

I'll be honest with you, if you give it to me while it's still weak,

You don't need to do anything for me,

And I let you use my realm to go to any Mainlands that you want."

LitStill made hertle mortal rolled his eyes at her, and said,

"Lubo isn't for sale.

Do you know how precious it will be in the future?

And without it, all of my plans will be ruined."

Lilith furrowed her brow,

"What plan?"

Little mortal looked away,

"Not telling."

Lilith gritted her teeth,

"At least tell me how long it works for you.

You can give it to me by then, right?"

Little Mortal looked at her and said,

"How about this,

You let me use your door to the Hunters Mainland,

And I swear to world law that I will force Lubo to join your territory when it's not my employee anymore."

Lilith, who saw him telling the truth again,

Smiled,

"Deal, but you should tell me how long it will be under your command first."

Little Mortal scratched his head and said,

"Last time I checked, it was 333 million years."

Hearing the number, even though not much for her,

Still made her a little shocked,

"How did you force it to be your employee for such a long time?"

And she felt relieved inside knowing this crazy treasure would be stuck in one place for that long.

But Little mortal didn't tell her,

"Not telling.

That's confidential."

Lilith became silent, while Little Mortal continued drinking 'underworld tea'.

Seeing him so relaxed in her place,

That was supposed to bring fear and horror to everyone from the world above,

She didn't know what to make of it.

Was he so confident in himself?

Or did he trust her for a specific reason?

"So, Mortal, right?

How about you go and have a walk for now?

And I do some 'background check' before giving you my final answer?"

Little mortal, finished his 'underworld tea', and nodded,

"Sure.

Do you have a library here?

Can I go take a look if you have?

I need to learn about other Mainlands if possible."

Lilith clasped her hands while saying,

"I sure do."

And two people entered the hall.

They were the old man, Malphor, and Lilith's daughter.

"Malphor, take our guest to my library.

He can go anywhere and read whatever he wants."

Malphor, while shocked inside, remained composed and nodded.

And thought to himself,

'This little boy actually became our guest?'

Little mortal looked at him suspiciously,

"He can hear you?"

Lilith chuckled,

"He can hear, speak, and see."

Little mortal looked at her in confusion,

"Why are his eyes closed then?

And why is he not speaking?"

"His law, the law of torture, makes his eyes and voice like a tool for torture.

If he looks at you or talks to you,

You will be tortured."

At this moment, the old man's eyes started opening again.

Little Mortal looked at his eyes in 'fear' and started screaming,

"Oh no!

I'm in so much pain!

Please, stop it!

Close your eyes!"

Malphor closed his eyes while speechless.

Lilith's daughter was stunned.

And Lilith herself finally heaved a sigh of relief.

All of them saw the word 'Lie' above his head,

And knew he was acting.

Lilith finally felt relieved when she found out that her lie detector was still working fine.

The speechless old man took the 'scared' little boy, who kept saying 'don't say anything' and 'Don't look at me', away with himself to the library.

When they were gone, Lilith furrowed her brow and asked her daughter,

"I want you to go and investigate something for me."

Seeing her so serious, Lilith's daughter didn't ask about the weird little boy and listened carefully to her instructions before leaving.
