Chapter 32 - C32

Yoruha had no idea that the chakra within his body was entirely composed of natural energy—an energy inherently bound to his own consciousness.

His chakra possessed awareness.

But since he didn't yet understand any of this, he couldn't fully control it.

Still, the fact that his chakra and speed had both doubled that night left Yoruha genuinely pleased.

"My chakra level has already reached Kakashi's. My speed's still a bit behind, but it won't be long before I catch up."

"My chakra is different from ordinary chakra. I'll have to figure out exactly what's going on inside my body. If I can't control this rapid increase, then even greater power will be useless."

He had no desire to see another night like the one before.

"I wonder how the village reacted to all that commotion…"

"Hopefully I'm not already locked up in Konoha's prison."

Yoruha thought to himself.

He was still unconscious, unaware of what was happening outside.

Eventually, his consciousness drifted into a deep sleep—until dawn the next morning.

The instant his awareness returned, his eyes snapped open.

The first thing he saw was Kakashi leaning against the windowsill, reading a novel.

Yoruha sat up and asked,

"Kakashi-sensei, did the village's ninja notice what happened last night?"

That was the question weighing most on his mind.

Kakashi looked at him and smiled.

"You woke up quicker than I expected. I thought you'd be out for several days."

He was genuinely surprised. The night before, Yoruha had completely depleted his chakra—something extremely dangerous for a ninja.

In mild cases, it took days to recover. In severe cases, it could mean death.

Rubbing his head, Yoruha said,

"My head's a little fuzzy… What exactly happened last night?"

"You don't remember?" Kakashi asked, frowning slightly.

Yoruha shook his head.

"I only remember starting to condense chakra. Just when I was about to form Chidori, the chakra went berserk… and then I blacked out."

Kakashi's brow furrowed even deeper.

"You don't remember any of it? Last night, you unleashed a jutsu with power comparable to a Tailed Beast Bomb."

Yoruha froze.

"A… Tailed Beast Bomb?"

Seeing his blank look, Kakashi assumed he didn't know what that meant, so he explained:

"A Tailed Beast Bomb is a sphere of concentrated chakra formed by a tailed beast. Its destructive power is enormous—one blast can obliterate an entire mountain."

"The jutsu you released last night had about the same level of power. Fortunately, we were training in the mountains behind the village."

"If that had happened in the residential area, you wouldn't be sitting here talking to me right now."

Yoruha was stunned.

"That's… an exaggeration, isn't it? My chakra shouldn't be anywhere near enough to release something that powerful."

He knew he'd caused quite a disturbance, but to compare it to a Tailed Beast Bomb felt absurd.

After all, a Tailed Beast Bomb was practically a landscape-level attack.

And given that his chakra reserves were still lower than Kakashi's, there was no way he could produce such destructive force.

Kakashi stepped closer, studying him for a moment before speaking.

"There's likely a hidden power inside you—even you're unaware of it."

"That jutsu you released… it must have been triggered when that inner power was awakened."

Yoruha blinked in confusion.

"A hidden power inside me?"

He had no idea what Kakashi was talking about.

"Maybe it's because my chakra isn't the same as other people's," he said quietly.

This time, it was Kakashi's turn to look surprised.

"You know your chakra is different from everyone else's?"

He himself had only discovered Yoruha's unique chakra because of his Sharingan. How could Yoruha know that too?

Yoruha looked up at him calmly.

"I've always known. My chakra feels stronger and purer than most people's."

"I just couldn't tell exactly how different it was before, since I didn't know any jutsu back then."

Kakashi let out a soft sigh.

"I thought you didn't realize it."

Yoruha smiled faintly.

"I've always had a sharper sense for chakra than most people. That's how I can tell."

Kakashi nodded thoughtfully.

"I once used my Sharingan to look into your chakra. The energy inside you is senjutsu chakra."

"I've seen it before—from Lord Jiraiya. When he entered Sage Mode, his chakra became just like yours."

"That's what senjutsu chakra looks like."

"What puzzles me is that you've never trained in Sage Techniques—and you definitely weren't in Sage Mode."

"Yesterday I reported your situation to the Third Hokage. He told me your body might be the same as the First Hokage's—a naturally born Sage Body."

When Yoruha heard that Kakashi had told the Third Hokage about him, his brows furrowed.

He looked at Kakashi with suspicion.

He had thought Kakashi was someone trustworthy—yet this revelation disappointed him.

Seeing the misunderstanding, Kakashi quickly explained.

"Under those circumstances, if I hadn't spoken up, you would've been in even greater danger."

"Luckily, the Hokage doesn't see you as a threat. In fact, he asked me to take you as my student."

Yoruha's expression darkened.

He didn't fully trust the Hokage, but since he had no ambitions of his own, he wasn't overly concerned.

No matter what the Third decided, he wouldn't allow himself to be restrained.

With that thought, he pushed aside his worries.

Kakashi continued to watch him.

At first, when Yoruha's face had hardened and suspicion had filled his eyes, Kakashi had felt a deep sense of guilt.

But when Yoruha calmed himself so quickly, that guilt turned into admiration.

He knew Yoruha had already thought things through.

When Kakashi had been Yoruha's age, he could never have processed something so serious that fast.

At least in terms of composure and mental strength, Kakashi knew he fell short.

After a pause, Yoruha looked up at him and said,

"Kakashi-sensei, you should go rest. You probably didn't sleep last night, did you?"

He was genuinely grateful that Kakashi had stayed by his side.

Realizing Yoruha bore him no resentment, Kakashi exhaled softly.

"It's fine. For a ninja, missing one night of sleep isn't a big deal."

Still, Yoruha insisted,

"You should rest anyway. I don't have any missions today. I want to stay home and figure out what's going on with my chakra."

Kakashi approached him again.

"That power inside you might be very strong—and hard to control."

Yoruha nodded.

"I can tell. Last night I completely lost control. I had already formed Chidori, but just as I was about to attack, my chakra went berserk."

"But I think I can control it. Last night it wasn't the chakra's fault—I simply couldn't handle it properly, and that's why it ran wild."
