Ch 2 Chapter 2 – Awakening the Fleet

The ocean was alive with movement. Alex, now fully aware of his Yamato X hybrid form, hovered above the waves. The shipgirls' formations glimmered around him, hundreds of metallic and humanoid figures poised for command.

His HUD flashed continuously: energy levels, weapon status, aircraft readiness, submarine positioning. Every system was active, every weapon online. Yet, the Siren signal still pulsed in the depths.

"Alright," Alex muttered, flexing his arms. "Let's see what you can really do."

He activated submarine mode, sinking below the surface. The water closed over him, but his vision adapted instantly. Through sonar overlays and tactical scanning, he detected Siren units approaching from multiple directions.

"Let's start with a little test," he said. Torpedo launchers activated, launching a coordinated barrage. The torpedoes glided silently through the water before detonating against holographic training drones deployed by the system. Explosions rippled through the ocean, sending massive waves upward.

From above, a shadow crossed the sky. A figure in red and gold armor hovered, observing.

"Hmm…" Alex muttered. "Not Earth technology… Tony Stark?"

Iron Man descended onto the waves, repulsors glowing. "That's… a big ship. And humanoid? SHIELD reports a massive anomaly in the ocean. Who—or what—are you?"

Alex raised an armored hand. "Name's Alex. Commander of this fleet. Yamato X. And… yeah, you're not gonna believe this, but it's complicated."

Iron Man frowned. "Yeah, I bet it is."

Before more could be said, the ocean erupted. Shadows moved beneath the waves—Siren submarines launching into attack, their energy blades cutting through water like knives.

Alex's HUD blinked: FLEET ENGAGEMENT – INITIATE.

"Fleet, positions!" His voice echoed over the comms, activating his command interface. Battleships aligned, carriers launched squadrons of aircraft, submarines dived and disappeared. Even the newer shipgirls, enhanced with Siren tech, formed hybrid attack units.

He raised both arms. Energy cannons charged, targeting the advancing Sirens. With a roar of ocean and energy, Yamato X fired a full broadside, tearing through the first wave of attackers. Aircraft swarmed from carriers, diving onto enemy units, while submarines struck from below.

Iron Man hovered in disbelief, observing the perfectly synchronized fleet. "Okay… that's insane. She's controlling them all… all of them!"

Alex grinned. "Not just controlling. Coordinating. Every ship, every turret, every aircraft—synchronized."

A warning blinked on his HUD: SIREN ENERGY OVERLOAD DETECTED.

A massive Siren battleship rose from the depths, its hull glowing with alien energy. Yamato X activated Siren hybrid mode, cloaking partially and channeling energy into her weapons. With a single motion, a blinding energy beam erupted, splitting the water and sending the Siren ship tumbling backward.

The fleet responded instantly, finishing off the remaining enemy drones. The waves calmed. Smoke and energy arcs danced across the surface as the battle concluded—though Alex knew it was only the beginning.

Iron Man landed beside him. "I… don't even know what to say. You're… powerful. Extremely powerful. SHIELD's going to want a full report."

Alex smirked, adjusting his armored wings. "Tell them… I'm just getting started. The Sirens? They're not going to know what hit them."

Above the horizon, the first glimpses of the Azure Lane base's advanced systems shimmered. Holographic readouts displayed fleet status, repair modules, and system enhancements. Yamato X could now begin coordinating repairs, upgrades, and training exercises, preparing her fleet for the multiverse threats yet to come.

And somewhere, deep in the ocean, the Sirens were regrouping. The real war was only beginning.
